HP Photosmart C8180

I have a HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-one. The software is damaged and I tried to run and install new softward. It will not install.  He said, on the original shipped with Windows 2000, XP and Vista printer CD. It seems that it is NOT compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit).  What I now have to buy a new printer or y at - it a patch for my C8180? I have a Pavilion laptop DV6 Windows 7 (64) bit.

You can download the software for Windows 7 on HP.com.  Here is the link, just select Windows 7 32 or 64 bit and download it.

  • HP Photosmart C8180 will not light

    Hello

I have a HP PhotoSmart C8180.  I recently moved and the printer was working fine until I moved it, but once it was plugged in after the move, the printer lights not at all.  The move was only 1/2 mile so he simply sat nicely on a car for the car seat and has not been disturbed around.  I tried a second original HP power and it made no difference.

The power light comes on and the system powers the LightScribe disc but nothing else.  Making sure power is disconnected for hours even before plugging it back in does not give any different results.  I tried to press a variety of buttons while it turn to try to force a system reset any without change as well.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

Thank you.  I had no time to answer back previously, but in fact, this has been resolved.  I think that what ended up finding it was the small watch battery figure on the map system inside the printer, leaving all the drains of power that remained in the chips, then put the whole thing back together again.  After turning on it always came not for a few minutes and then roar back to life again.

    Thank you!

  • New Photosmart C8180 displays error code C2FF8575 out of the box.

I bought a Photosmart C8180 a few years back but put away in a closet and never opened until today. I started to install the printer and followed the instructions, but when I plugged on feeding (a first step in the installation program), the screen started showing the error Code C2FF8575, more a point of exlemation on the front of the machine and the power button began to blink rapidly. I have insterted the cartridges in it, but it did not help. I followed a tip of troubleshooting I found on the HP site to uninstall your ink cartridges, unplug the printer for at least 60 seconds, then plug back in. There is nothing to help as well. Please help me to solve this problem and get this printer doesn't work! Thank you!

  • Photosmart C8180 All-in-One printer that turns off completely in the middle of printing.

I have a Photosmart C8180 All-in-One printer that powers completely in the middle of printing, wasting time, paper and ink. It restarts also sometimes more and more and more and sometimes it stops and all the lights blink quickly, show an on-screen error code. During these periods, the power button seems useless. I use the printer with a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running Windows Vista and an HP / Compaq Presario Windows XP.

When the C8180 works correctly, it's great. But I can't allow myself to be play roulette of the printer. Help, please. Thank you.

Thanks to kkcb9395 for your help.

Unfortunately, I have not found a solution to fix my HP C8180. The 800 number only referred me to another number (866-234-1377) where someone in India tried to sell me a phone support or a new printer. Phone support will not fix a burned capacitor and the new printers HP scan slides. Not to mention the $100. new ink I'll have to eat if I can't solve this problem.

For anyone who has followed this thread and interested in your own C8180 setting here is a link to a parts list.

  • HP Solution Center does not see scanner (HP Photosmart C8180 All in one)

Solutions of HP on my L:aptop will not see the scanner HP Photosmart C8180 printer.

I can print from the laptop and my desktop computer sees the thin printer using HP solutions (same printer same router/network).

It is a problem that has occurred before. I put on the day of Vista to Windows 7 and re-installed the program, and if I remember correctly it was working fine.

It has now stopped working again.

I just had to re - install the printer because it does not appear in the folder devices and printers.

    Hi DavidSK11,

It uses a USB connection or network?  You install by using the drivers from the HP website?

Here is a link to the driver for Win7

  • I have a HP Photosmart C8180 printer on the printer screen it displays C2FF8575.

I have a HP Photosmart C8180 printer.  On the printer screen, it displays C2FF8575.  It won't turn off, unless I unplug islet that my Undo button keeps flashing. What does all this mean?

The code of C2FF8575 refers to a fatal mistake in the firmware of the printer. The only thing you can do when this error is a hard reset. I will include the instructions below. If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

HP Technical Support call case form:

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

  • Need help with the driver 64 bit, Win 7 for Photosmart C8180

Hello. I downloaded the 64-bit driver for Windows 7, the Photosmart C8180 All-in-one. It shows the download link, the download for 64-bit file is the same file as the 32-bit file. However, I downloaded one that says that it is for the 64-bit Windows 7, in any case. http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=3204...

I uninstalled my printer. I clicked on my new .exe file, which was supposed to be for Windows 7, 64 bit. Installed just fine. However, when I go into Device Manager and my printer, it shows that the driver is a 32-bit. (which makes sense, since if you look at the 64-bit, or 32-bit download, both are the same file.)

I have a program on my computer it is more precisely a 64-bit program, and it let me use the ability to scan, until my all-in-one printer has a 64-bit driver. I think HP has accidentally put even tranche under the 64-bit file as they have under the 32-bit download. Anyone come across this or know what I can do?

    Thank you!

Honestly, I think that is what is happening, you should have the driver correct 64 bit for your printer.  Since you mentioned, that they just released the 64-bit program, it is also possible that it may be a relatively new problem which they are ignorant.

I have two recommendations for you.

One would be to get back in touch with them and let them know that you have installed 64-bit drivers and it may be a problem with the program.

The only other option I can think would use the 32-bit software, although I know that you really want to use the 64-bit software.

I'm not familiar with their program enough to know what could possibly be the cause of the Analyzer must be gray and not recognized, especially if it worked before when you use the 32-bit software.

  • HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-one Printer

    Hello

I have a blue screen on my HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-one printer with a code of B3D3F8A8. HP Tech indicate that my printer is obsolete, and I need to replace. nobody there knows not what says this message and if I need to replace my printer?

    Thanks for the help.

Try of the reset the printer as shown in this page.  Unfortunately, the error codes are not documented, if reseting the printer as described on this page is not enough you will probably need a new printer.

  • How to set a default value for analysis the length of the page for the HP Photosmart C8180?

When I scan documents using the HP Solution Center software on my printer HP Photosmart C8180, the default page length always 12 inches.  While I can't change 11 inches on each scanned page, it's a big pain when scanning multi-page documents.  Is there a direct solution or work around it?  Thank you.

When you scan a document for example, solutions Center, one of the screens that should appear, will have (depending on the exact version of Windows for wordage) a button for Advanced Document settings. There should be an option to tick to automatically crop to the document. That could clear up the white border at the bottom without having to do it manually.

When you scan an image (or document) to file, usually the default settings save who to the original size.

As side note, usually printers has a document feeder, will automatically manage the images/documents in the way you want, without changing the settings by default simply had to be fed physically in front of a window scan.

  • Photosmart C8180 + Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

After the upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit, my Photosmart C8180 prints very well.  However, the "HP Solutions Center" will not be open.  Error message: "no HP devices have been detected.  HP Solution Center will be closed. "I downloaded the new drivers and software from HP website, but that made no difference.  I also installed the recent patch.  Any suggestions?

You mentioned that you have installed the patch, did you follow this document which includes instructions after the upgrade? :

Resolve issues related to the status and HP Solution Center Scan product after upgrading Windows Vista to Windows 7

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01887712

Here is why I think this SHOULD HAVE worked-
    (1) that you mentioned that you upgraded
    (2) when printing software improved Vista, Win7, there is a component that is deleted in the upgrade process.
    (3) If you aren't already on v13, it is important, you get the latest version of the software - it will also replace the missing file and you'll get the Win7 software designed for your printer.

I would look into your question if you have tried this and it did not work.

  • Photosmart C8180 All-in-one: not able to print colors light magenta and magenta

I bought photosmart c8180 about 3 years as a spare printer. I set up and printed a few pages. A printer was perfectly fine.  Last week, I decided to use this printer. When I tried to print, color photos are released totally foires.  I used the tools-alignment option and received a message that alignment was successful.  A printed page has rectangular bars at the end of the page and a magenta bar as well. He also printed two birds with some magenta color. For me, it's proof that the printer can use magenta colors. However, a self-test page came out without any of the magenta color. Under the color of the light magenta and magenta stars boxes were missing.

I look at the Forum and find out that some people had the same problem.  It dates back to the years of 2011. There are several experts HP answers to how to solve this particular problem.  However, even if it is from 2011 tread has been always open because these so-called 'experts' were not useful. I tried all - they do not help us.

I called technical support and representatives of hp told me that they cant't help me because this model is discontinued. They also surprised me a bit telling me to throw this printer.  If this is the best solution for this problem of ink for 8100 Series, then, please confirm as an expert. The thead element has been open since 2011 and I don't know that it's time to shut it down.

    Please, answer

    Hello

Because the printer is out of warranty, technical support may provide you option to get an improved printer (a different model) with a little low prices.

There is a problem with the printhead (ink delivery system) that cannot be repaired.
