HP ProBook 450 G2: FreeDos Recovery Image?

Hello

I bought a new ProBook G2 of 450. Unfortunately, I have to give back the laptop because I want another model that works best for me.

My problem: I have already deleted the Partitions of FreeDos installed und Win8.1.

How can I change in FreeDos? Are there any available online recovery Image?

Thank you!

Kind regards

Audrey

It is not a recovery image I've ever heard. It is fair to FreeDos

The following link goes to FreeDos.ORG where you can upload the image to put on an installation CD and reinstall.

  • HP ProBook 450 G: drive recovery on external hard drive

    Hello!

    I had a few questions.

I have a HP ProBook G2 450 with Windows 8.1 now, I wanted to create a disk recovery, but on an external hard drive. Is it so that it is not possible to put it on an external hard drive? When I try to make a recovery it says I should use one with at least 16 GB USB Flash drive. So this means that I could not even do a DVD recovery disc?

And I would also know, if I put teaching 10 Windows (as our University offers), is possible later use the 8.1 Windows recovery disc to return to 8.1?

    Eager to help!

    Marta

    Hello

Please use a few DVDs or good USB. The USB will be write-protected therfore no point to use the external HARD drive because you will not be able to use your external HARD drive, only read. Normally, you have 2 options: use of DVD or USB.

Yes, you can use recovery media to go back to your orginal Windows 8.1.

Note: you can create recovery media once.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Probook 450 G1: Windows 8 HP recovery disks has not detected

    Hello

In the hope of someone can help me. I recently had a problem due to what I have to perform a recovery using HP RECOVERY discs [I ordered it] I don't have the HP Recovery Manager or the recovery of microsoft. So I have to do only through HP recovery disks.

If his sudden has not detected in my laptop. I hit the bottom of the hard drive, I can feel that it is rotating. When I double clicked on it. It appears that I have to insert the disc. [Although I have inserted]. I wiped also DVDs with a cloth dry go with stripes. I tested on my PC it detected [of course it won't work because it is not HP PC].

I also diagonsised the hard drive [wide test] component, it has demonstrated that it meets the test. I tested both with other CD/DVD games. It works very well.

I hope you got my problem.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from your description, I understand that the HP Probook 450 G1 does not detect the recovery DVDs. However, the other CDs/DVDs work fine and the recovery (at least detected) on another PC media.

I understand that you need to recover, but despite this, Windows starts correctly now? What is the problem you can get you to try to recover? In Winows, recovery disks are recognized?

To be honest, I don't know why it is not detected, but there are some things you can try:

-Boot in the BIOS and disable secure boot + turn on Legacy mode

    Details > > http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/The-selected-boot-device-failed-Press-enter-to-continue/m-p/5730515

    Details > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226

-Try to boot from the media of recovery of the DVD (first is the one that is re. OS - I see, you should have 2 recovery DVDs - one for the OS, one for the drivers).

keep hitting the Esc key (such as tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Boot Menu. Choose F9 to open the boot options. Select the USB drive as boot option.

I would like to know if it works for you.

  • ProBook 450 - second series of recovery media, blue screens windows 7 (win 8 okay, not the hardware problem)

    I had a new HP probook 450 G1.

Immediately, I swapped the 750 GB for one SSD drive and tried to install Windows 7 from the recovery media. The operation has failed. Contact HP support, they sent new media.

I used new media. Windows 7 operating system installed. As soon as I install the drivers, the PC goes in a loop of the blue screen.

I can install the chipset drivers and wifi. Don't know what the other driver is causing the blue screen. I can also install from the windows media 8, so this isn't a hardware problem - wife hates just windows 8.

Basically, please either give me a few troubleshooting steps or I'll go back to the PC. I'm NOT insterested in a manual process long to determine which driver is the problem and the recovery download media manually the drivers one... should work.

After you have reinstalled the original 750 GB hard drive with the replacement media, I managed to an attempt to "recover". So, I decided to sit and try, by the process of elimination, all drivers.

It turns out that the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver was causing the problem. When I installed everything BUT that, the laptop works very well. Notice that I use a fairly new SSD Crucial of M500. It is quite possible there are other people out there see it. You really need to install the driver of rapid storage technology, it is fast enough - not not even 100% sure what good to give the driver.

So I gave myself wrong guidance by the initial recovery of defective media. The second group of work recovery media, but the version of the driver intel 12.7.3.1001 does NOT work with the Crucial M500. I checked the Intel site for driver downloads, and it was not clear that they have a newer driver appropriate right now. Maybe someone else can tell?

  • ProBook 450 upgrade of windows 7 to windows 8

    I just bought a Probook G1 450 with Windows 7 Pro installed.

What is the best way to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro the supplied DVD?  I work from home if higher security options is not necessary.  The HP support site gives two options - inplace upgrade and clean installation as below.

  • HP Probook 450 G2: Impossible to use the HP Probook 450 G2 of fingerprints

I bought a HP Probook 450 G2 with the free dos version yesterday. I installed windows pro 8.1 on it successfully with all the drivers of HP on the site. But apparently, HP drivers for my probook web page don't offer me with the software "simplepass" for the finger print function. So, I downloaded it from a third party Web page. I checked from the BIOS and the fingerprint is activated, I also installed the validity sensor driver and whatever it is I just don't get any option 'fingerprint' on the program (Simplepass), what they show is 'Pass pine or CHARACTER' and nothing else. Similarly, the option "SIGN IN" from the windows, they show no fingerprints for security options. All my drivers are up to date.  Validity sensor driver is 4.5.133.0, SimplePass is 2015. I'm starting to give up because I googled as much I could and tried all the safest approach, still does not work. Help someone?

    Thank you in advance.

Please check in the Device Manager and make sure you see the fingerprint sensor fingerprint validity in BIOMETRICS , as shown in the image below

  • Free space on hard drive for HP PROBOOK 450 G0 - H0U95EA

    Hello

I'm looking for a laptopo HP, I would like to know the free space on hard drive for HP PROBOOK 450 G0 - H0U95EA.

In the datasheet there are 750GB but in a boutique internet... I found that free space is that of 320 GB, is it good?

    Thank you!

    Marco

More new software installs would more or less 60 gigs and a 750 GB drive reads as on 690 concerts in Windows Explorer. There will be a recovery partition and system partition that could take up to another 20 GB or more. Free space out of the box is still more than 575 casual jobs. That will decrease as games for Windows restore points.

I had a new HP ProBook 450 G2 with windows 8.1. I did the flash drive recovery. Now, I wanted to install windows 10 DEU. Now got 0xc0000225 error code. Not even the recovery disk works. I really don't know what else to do.

    Hello

Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying.

As the integrated recovery partitions are deleted, you will need to use (such as DVD or Flash drive recovery) recovery media.

Here are the instructions to do:

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

    In response to your questions:

    • Laptops of professional quality are equipped with sensors of finger prints for the same reason that consumers rank models offer the feature - biometrics are a method very popular to connect to your computer without having to type a password.

SimplePass software runs on quality consumer laptops.

    • Security of client software runs on the professional quality laptops.

Both programs offer some of the same functions.

    Options

Install and run the Client Security

    OR

    If you run Windows 10

    and

If you only want / need to connect to the computer with your fingerprint

    then

You can set a PIN code and then activate the fingerprint reader to log that ships with the operating system Windows 10

    Start / Windows key > settings > accounts > Sign-In Options > PIN

Add or remove fingerprints - 10 Windows logon

    OR

If you do not want to install / use the Client Security software on your computer

    and

you do not want to be able to connect to (most) sites without having to type a password,

    then

You can buy a password management program

If you want, you can combine security software and password into a single service manager.

  • Satellite L655-1GN - failed to install the new drive HARD original recovery image

    Hello

Just had to buy a new hard drive and put the latter with the former. I already checked that he was the same size and SATA as the original hard drive. When I tried to start a new installation of the operating system from the recovery disk (that I bought the Toshiba provider in my country - MAFIL), the boot option was not available.

MAFIL representative told me that the recovery disks only for the reinstalliation of the OS on the original drive, but are not suitable to install a fresh copy again. So, how can I install my Win7 64-bit, with all settings on the new drive and Toshiba apps?

    Thank you
    Tomer

On many models of laptops different change HARD drive or upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and after doing this, you can install recovery image using the disc of recovery without any problem.

I did several times on different models of Toshiba laptops. This works.
I really don't understand how someone can give you this information.

By default the BIOS settings, restart your machine and press F12 at startup. When the boot menu appears on the screen put the recovery disk ODD news, select CD/DVD as a boot device and press ENTER.
What happens when you do this?

  • Installation of recovery image on Satellite L500D

Am trying to re - install windows 7 on Satellite L500D. I'm having all kinds of problems with the computer because it has been infected by malware or viruses, don't know that. I have already backed up all my documents, photos and files pst on an external hard drive.

I press '0' when the power and then got the following options.

First option is 32 or 64 bits,
I chose 32 that the vehicle has currently 32-bit installed.
Warns next option, I selected Yes.
Next option is factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-the-box). or erase the hard drive, I chose the default settings restoring.
    Then there's 3 options,
1 recovery of out-of-the-box-state (System Recovery Options include).
    2. recovery without changing hard drive partitions, or
    3. recover to custom size partition. I thought I chose Option 1, but it shows all partitions will be deleted and you will lose all data on the hard drive.

This means that I will delete the windows installs partition?
    Choose option 2?
Option 2 says "the first partition is deleted and you will lose all data on the partition. I am thinking 2 option?

On a separate issue, I could install the 64 bit version of Windows, if so it would be an advantage?

    Hello

Detailed explanations on the recovery image installation, you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Please check it and I hope you find al the info you need there. I always use Recovery option out-of-box state > system recovery options are included.

Your system is infected of course and you have to complete resettlement in order to not make this so complicated. Back up all your data and install recovery image using option 1. No matter what will be removed and what not. Drive HARD integer should be cleaned.

I recommend you to use the version of 64-bit operating system.
Very nice article about 32 and 64 bit versions OS, you can find here.

  • Cannot create a recovery image

    Hello

I just bought a HP Pavilion x 2, it has a 64 GB SSD.  I want to create a recovery image using the HP utility but when I try, it fails. I think it is because there is not enough space on the Windows partition to create the image.  I have a USB drive connected with 27 GB of free but looks like it will create the image on the C drive, before you copy it to the USB drive. I don't want to remove my recovery partition until I know that I have another copy and I can't find anything else to uninstall to get the 14 GB I need (have 12 GB free). I have only had the tablet a few days so did not have much here, have uninstalled everything I put here except for the updates of Windows that I did. I erased the wimy file temp user profile.

Does anyone have ideas, what I can do?

    Thank you
