  Please could you tell me the maximum ram supported by the HP Probook 450 G2 P5S40ES #ABU? I think buy it on Amazon, but it has only 4 GB. I would like to upgrade at a later date, but has no way to know which is the maximum. I tried to find out what was the motherboard, so I could figure it out myself, but it is not listed in the manual, section of drivers, review sites that I could find.   Recently I did a clean install of windows 10 and I have a problem I forgot my past experience with this version of windows: my system is unable to go to sleep (or he can't wake mode 'sleep') or Hibernate.

  Example of situation: I put the system to sleep, it shuts down (the power button blinks always - it's what he does when the laptop is in sleep mode) and when I press the power button (or click on my mouse) system does not.   The 450 G0 has either Intel HD 4000 or it can have switchable discrete Radeon 8750 M, but if you have the old, you will need to replace the whole motherboard to get one with Radeon graphics cards. Which may be prohibitive, but is theoretically possible. Can you replace your self? Parts will run a few hundred to a few hundred working (in dollars). You need the motherboard and a new radiator/cooling fan. Processor, wireless card memory could be reversed. Also your windows must be reactivated and eventually you will have to buy a new Windows license (which does not 100% the case) but Microsoft generally believes that it is a different computer if you swap out the motherboard.

  The main culprit, it is that you are using a 32-bit operating system.  A 32-bit Windows operating system only deals with 4 GB of RAM, so it can use 4 additional GB you have purchased and installed.  To use this extra RAM, you must upgrade to a 64-bit operating system.

  I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!
