  I ordered 2 x 512 MB of RAM at CompuRAM. According to their information 1 GB is possible for this model. According to the user manual only 512 MB is possible. As normally CompuRAM information is right (maybe necessary BIOS update), I tried.

  But it does not work. I can only use 1 x 512 MB.

  Does anyone have information on RAM update for Toshiba Satellite 1110 (model PS111E-003DN-GR/S1110-Z16)?

  The 450 G0 has either Intel HD 4000 or it can have switchable discrete Radeon 8750 M, but if you have the old, you will need to replace the whole motherboard to get one with Radeon graphics cards. Which may be prohibitive, but is theoretically possible. Can you replace your self? Parts will run a few hundred to a few hundred working (in dollars). You need the motherboard and a new radiator/cooling fan. Processor, wireless card memory could be reversed. Also your windows must be reactivated and eventually you will have to buy a new Windows license (which does not 100% the case) but Microsoft generally believes that it is a different computer if you swap out the motherboard.

  1. no whitelist. Your laptop was conducted after HP stopped using a white list so that you can install any card with the right form factor and the number of antennas. The Intel 7260 card should work.

  Important is to use the compatible RAM module.
  If you want to use 4 GB max you use 2 x 2 GB module.

  I recommend you to use Toshiba PA3513U-1M2G or Kingston modules.

  The laptop has 4 GB of RAM installed, however, when I check this, right-click on 'Computer' then go to 'Properties', it shows 4 GB installed, but only 3.85 GB usable.

  Someone has any ideas why this is not displayed as 4 GB usable?

  If the system has integrated chipset graphics, part of memory is allocated to the integrated graphics chip and the rest is usable RAM.

  Hardware components often use some of the memory (RAM) of your internal system for themselves. For example, while a graphics (GPU) card comes with its own RAM, integrated graphics (also called integrated graphics card) uses part of your RAM as video memory.

  Your computer may also be allocating part of your RAM to other materials, such as your network hardware.

  To determine how much of your RAM is reserved for material and how much is usable by Windows, you can use the window system mentioned above.   I would go for 24 GB of Ram... it's enough for me right? 32 is necessary for me?   BTW, I am only editing DSLR video files. No files of camera as RED etc.

  Secondly, I need a solid videocard PP/AE (CUDA) GPU acceleration to edit videos with the applied effects, in a buttered smooth playback that bogged my material.

  I don't know where to start with graphics cards, I know not much about them, or what to look for when buying a solid graphics/video card? The Nvidia GTX 660ti is good for me in this circumstance?

  1. the i7-2600 is a locked CPU, which means that overclocking can only be done by modifying the BCLK parameter, which is not easy. The i7 - 2600K is an unlocked CPU, so overclocking is a simple matter of changing the multiplier in BIOS.

  2. the Ti 660 is currently the best map REGION (bang-for-the-buck) IMO. It is a great card in combination with the i7-2600, but of course may be extended to a new system without problem when the time comes.

  3. I would only watch 1 TB disks, since they have the best ratio of $/GB without costing an arm and leaving most unused space. 2 or 3 disks to have even better $/GB ratio, but it is questionable to know if you would need so much space.

  To save money on my own version, I resorted to the drives of 1 TB only, although I thought initially to 2 TB drives, but finally I opted for drives of 1 TB enterprise. See planning and construction of a new NLE system.

  I have two ram slots on my motherboard, but only one at a time working with RAM. They both work when used by themselves. But when I add ram to the second, it won't start. Wants to repair itself in a message, but never don't fix. Maybe im not giving him not enogh time to repair. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

  Test each dimm one at a time. Try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn. Memtest86 4.20 more Installer USB.

  It is preferable to use the DIMMS matched.

  I can't tell you why the performance of WEI memory went down, but he certainly wouldn't.

  The faster the memory will run in your computer laptop is 1333 MHz, because it is the fastest speed of the processor i7-2670QM FSB can run to, so installation PC3-12800 (1600) memory provides no advantage.

  Hi Dave,.

  There is no reason why your laptop should not run with two 512 MB RAM modules. I have exactly this configuration in my own A30.

  I suggest re-seats of the modules to ensure that they are properly contacting and then try swapping around to see if the problem persists.

  It is always possible that one of the modules is faulty, so try each in turn to check that they are both recognized correctly.

  Don't forget to make sure that you are properly grounded before touching the RAM modules. It is very easy to damage them with a discharge of static electricity.

  I tried with one only new memory cards, but with the same results. I know that the old RAM PC2-4200 533 Mhz but I think it should work with 667 Mhz as well?

  It's nice that you believe this, but the fact is that you must use compatible modules.
  Use maximum 2 GB of RAM I recommend you to use compatible DDR2 400/533 module 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G).
