HP Probook 650 1: HP Probook 1 650 Docking Station

Hello!

Research on the specs of the laptop:

650 1 Spec proBook

Seems that support 90w and 120w docking station and have the docking port. But go to the accessory page of the laptop it shows as compatible port replicator only the USB3 HP 3005pr (H1L08AA). Also goes in the pages of support of the 90w and 120w docking the 1 650 is not listed as compatible.

So, can I use 90w or 120w docking with the laptop or I need to use the Port Replicator port usb3?

Thank you!

Although the site shows Dock compatible, HP 3005pr, you can go ahead and use the 90w or 120w docking station.

The laptop is compatible with 90w or 120w docking station as well.

  • HP ProBook 650 G1: HP 2012 W90 - A7E32AA Docking Station

    Hello

I have recvently had my laptop re-inaged to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 (HP ProBook 650 G1).

I use it with a HP 2012 W90 - A7E32AA Docking Station, with monitor, keyboard and mouse attached.

Since the new image, I can't have the mouse or the keybouard to work with the docking station (the monitor does not work).

The mouse and keyboard work when plugged directly into USB port on the laptop.

I tried to find a suitable driver for the docking via the HP site and google, but all sources lead me in circles and eventually to nothing so far.

I hope someone can help? The new driver may still not solve the problem, but it's a process of elimination, unless someone knows of another solution?

    Thanks in advance,

    CJW

You should not have drivers for the docking... all USB ports on this subject are USB 3.0... Windows 7 requires a USB 3.0 driver. To the person who reimagee your hard drive installing the USB driver 3.0?

Any part of the dock works? It loads the laptop? I see that the monitor work through the dock docking station is not dead.

When the laptop is connected you see evidence of it in the Device Manager?

  • 3 displays with my HP ProBook 6470b 230W Advanced Docking Station

    Hi all

I recently got a new HP ZR2440w monitor that I would like to joing my whole upward.

Here is my current set up:

HP ProBook 6470b 230W Advanced Docking Station + an HP L1950 monitor.

My office is extended from the laptop to the Monitor HP L1950, giving double me poster.

I would like to extend my desktop to the new monitor HP ZR2440w giving me 3 displays (laptop display + HP L1950 monitor HP ZR2440w monitor)

For example, my question is: when I extend laptop to ZR2440w so that already granted to L1950 the ZR2440w does not connect.

Note: I the ZR2440w connected to the docking via Display Port and speak it L1950 via DVI.

I also tried both monitors on DVI.

I tried the software graphics intel installed on my laptop but when the laptop lid is opened it will only connect to one of the external monitors.

What I read I can only support 2 screens at the same time, but I feel like it rather kill to have so many display on the docking station ports and cannot use a while the laptop lid is open.

    Any help is greatly appericated.

    Thank you

    Steve.

Yes, this was a limitation for awhile. The video controller in the laptop is the pull-out to the dock and it is capable of only configuration "dual head" If you get the screen of the laptop and the screen more.

  • Built-in HP Probook 6560 b in numeric keypad keyboard

    Hello

    Here I have a probook 6560 b with a built-in numeric keypad.

The integrated numeric keypad works fine, but the keyboard is integrated digital keypad mode (number on the letter keys) and im not able the desable it. I tried the fn + num lock key and it doesn't work.

Reinstall the drivers doesn't fix it.

I don't have the problem when the probook is a docking station.

Anyone has an idea about this problem?

I was going to say faulty keyboard, but you say that this does not happen on the dock. It's weird.
Points to the software however, try completely uninstalling the shortcut keyboard HP software. See what happens when uninstalled, and then reinstall it (download a new copy).
Check in the bios, also could be difficult to say but to see if it does the same there. (A way to check could do to set the time that you can replace the numbers)

  • HP ProBook 6460-b plugged blue screens when on a projector

Does anyone else have this problem?  I saw him on two different laptops now.  Both are HP ProBook 6460 b.   When the user connects the laptop to a VGA cable that is connected to a projector, blue laptop screens and restarts.

The laptop is not blue screen and reboot when it is connected to the monitors, but usually users use a docking station when it is connected to a monitor or monitors.  I didn't know all the problems connected with one connected to a monitor VGA cable, but it is rare.

I tried to update the drivers, but had no luck.

I finally found a solution to this problem.  This is the driver on the HP website.  I downloaded the driver from the Intel Web site and the problem was solved.  It's strange because our HP representative said that they could not reproduce the problem.

The only problem is HP Hotkey support no longer works with display settings, which means that fn + F4 bring up display options.

On the good side of things, it detects just a projector when it is plugged in and shows it.  If you need to change the settings, you must use the system tray Intel display options

  • HP probook 6470b - no display

I'm looking for confirmation on the following problem:

I have a HP probook 6470b that suddenly, the screen works on.   The backlight turns on, but no picture does not, not the start of Post for the HP logo or windows from the screens.  I suspect a bad LCD so I replaced it and I unfortunately have the same results with this screen (which I know to be a display of work).  The computer boots in fact facing upwards, and if I connect a monitor the output VGA port I work display.  Also, if I mount the unit on the docking station I get display on the connected monitors.

If at this point, my suspicion is that the port that the LCD connects to the motherboard is damaged/bad, or the motherboard itself has somehow missed or malfunctioned.  In this case, I'll have to replace the entire motherbaord, I suspect.

I tried the flush power / hard reset that I've seen suggested in all directions for almost every problem and this has no effect.  I also tried the recovery/reset Reset BIOS and had no change in symptoms.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions before I look at the replacement of the motherboard?

    Hello

Very good diagnosis already done by you.

    1. you have connected an external monitor to the unit via the VGA and images are very well about this, which means that the rest of the functions are working properly.

    2. you have already replaced the display board, and the question is always the same. Thus, it is not a problem with the Panel.

If the graphics drivers are all updated and works very well, we have the display cable (which is a separate part) that connects the display to the ZIF connector Panel (insertion force zero) or the ZIF connector on the motherboard itself.

    I work for HP.

  • ProBook 450: Recover the encrypted Partition pre-launch

My 450 ProBook has Winmagic Pre-Boot hard disk encryption installed.  As a result of a serious error of windows lost access to \BOOT\BCD.

I am able to mount the drive in a SATA docking station and see all three partitions.  Of course, the interest partition is encrypted.  Can someone tell where I can get a copy of Winmagic which can be installed on another PC to decrypt the defective drive and recover the latest data?

Winmagic weren't able to help as the version installed on HP laptops is a customized version.

Only solution - 'Format C:'.  Actually had to restore the factory setting and start all over again.  Necessary to do 3 times the drive had bad sectors which were not cleaned on the first couple of iterations.  PC seems now stable, simply replace the HARD drive

  • HP Probook 645 G1: Turn off the wifi when it is connected to the wire

    Hello

    I have a HP 645 Probook G1 A4 - 4300 M / 4 GB / 500 GB SSD/DVDRW/14 "HD/W7P 64B latptop.

    I also have a model Dockingstation REPLACEMENT-I10X.

I have attached an ethernet cable on the docking station that works. My problem is that when I connect my laptop to the docking station. Get a priority above wired wireless. If the laptop still uses wireless unless I turn it off manually.

Ofource I want to log out manually. I want the phone choose wired when wired and wireless when wireless.

    I tried a couple things:

    1. I went setings adapter--> advance--> Advance settings--> moved the connection to the lan network to a network connection wireless, top of page bottem. it did not work

    2. I manual put several metrics in connection properties (internet protocol 4 & 6--> Properties--> Advanced--> change automatic metric to manual and filled a small number to wired connection (No. 5) and filled a higher number (No. 250) to the Wi - Fi connection.) it did not work

    3. looked in the bios menu. There is no option to change the priority or something like that.

Now, I always disconnect the wifi when I'm attached to the docking station (even tried plugging an ethernet straight cable to the laptop, but that has not helped either). Problem is when I unlock the laptop from the docking station, I have to manually reconnect to the wireless network.

Additional info: since my laptop is always closed when it is locked on the docking station, I cannont press the WIRELESS button to disconnect or connect.

Any suggestions help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello:

See if the BIOS of your laptop computer has a LAN/WLAN, commissioning.

On my HP Elitebook 6930p it is a parameter to enable the LAN/WLAN switch that automatically turns off the wireless card when an ethernet cable is connected, and vice versa.

  • EN488AA Dock is compatible with Probook 6560 b?

    Hello!

Who this be tested EN488AA with new ProBooks, 6560 b preference? I checked the plug and or says that it is supported, but since EN488AA is probably out of production, it really doesn't say anything conclusive.

So, if anyone can confirm or deny that these two are compatible, or maybe just knows that new ProBook has a few changes that make old unusable docks - please, let us all know

    Hello:

This docking station does not work with your laptop.

Your laptop can use some docking stations. I took this one for example.

    http://h10010.www1.HP.com/wwpc/us/en/SM/WF06c/A10-51210-329229-347699-329229-4017282-4017283-5153189.html

When you look at the products compatible, you will see that yours is listed.  Also the 8440p is listed.

I have a 6930p which is the predecessor to the 8440p. It looks exactly like a 8440p.  You will see that my laptop is not listed as a compatible docking station that goes to your laptop.

Here is the link to the docking station, you're on the inquring:

    http://h10010.www1.HP.com/wwpc/ca/en/SM/WF06c/A1-12134674-12134748-12134748-12134756-12134756-74520573.html

When you click the compatible products, you will see my notebook 6930p that there are listed.

Conclusion: The EN488AA will not work with your 6560 b.

I would try not to host it because the connectors may not align correctly and cause damage to your PC and the docking station.
