HP scanning application

Using HP scanning App on Mac OSX with a 8600 and I cannot understand how scan double sided.  Any ideas?

I see that you are looking for scanning two-sided with the 8600 Officejet with a Mac. This is possible if you have the N911g or N911n.

If any of those who are to your printer, you can first of all;

  1. Load the original in the automatic document feeder.
  2. Open HP Scan.
  3. Click on scan.
  4. Click the triangle to the right of the name of the printer.
  5. Under Type, select Document.
  6. Under Source, select document feeder.
  7. Check the box Scan both sides of the page.
  8. Adjust other settings and click on continue.

  • HP deskjet 8600 Pro and Windows 8.1 any scanning application

    Since having my laptop fixed in the repair center I was not able to scan, the choice of scan from the print icon and no scanning application doesn't exist. I tried to download the software again. I tried the capture from the store and none of it works.  I have Windows 8.1 and Deskjet 8600 Pro.  I desperately need to scan important documents and I spent most of the afternoon and all night trying to solve this problem. I need help ASAP

    Finally, I called HP and bought a package of care. They fixed romotely and it works fine. I would never have known the amout of files that need to be uninstalled in order to install a new download of the driver software.

    I use an OfficePro 8600.

    HP application scanning has a scan drop-down size that offers you a number of choices, but also a choice custom type dimensions customized to your paper/photograph.  I performed the task of digitization of photographs of family a lot of old of the life of my parents and grandparents.  It would be convenient that I could customize options in the menu size Scan drop-down on the HP scanning application to be sizes that I have to go quickly. Currently, I have to go several times in the custom element to type the dimensions directly when I come across a picture of a different size.

    Anyone know if this is possible?  I am comfortable working with the registry of Windows and system files, if necessary.  Thank you.

    No - you can do this automatically UNLESS you can build a sensor to tell the size of the originals, BUT you can create the tamplates (called shortcuts) and save them. The next time you select a shortcut and it will scan you want, no need to enter again the options.  There are some pre-built in there, you can create more of your need.

    The reference Guide said, "If the printer is connected only on a local computer, then the printer automatically downloads a list of applications analysis."  When I push Scan, and scan to the computer, the message is "Cannot retrieve a list of applications of scanning of your computer."  I have only one computer.  How to locate and download scan applications list?

    If it's a Lexmark printer, this message 'Could not extract list scanning of your computer applications' isn't a message XP - it is a message the Lexmark printer driver or software and you should probably contact the Lexmark Support for help.

  • What it means... "the HP scanning application cannot detect the OCR software?

    I installed my software for my HP Officejet Pro 8500.  I'm having difficulty to get the HP to scan to my computer.

    If you are scanning a printed text document, this means that the Scanner Application is looking for appropriate application convert the scanned document in an application that can edit the text, this software called OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

    Here is a suggestion of a person on the forums of HP:

    1. click on start, type: services.msc

    Press enter on your keyboard.

    2. make sure that Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) is running.

    3. If this is not the case, try to start the service, it showed to me and error 1068.

    4. WIA is dependent on other services, then you must make sure that these two are running

    (a) remote Procedure Call and

    (b) protection of the shell material

    5. then try to run WIA services

  • ScanJet 8270 ADF scanning stops at halfway down page. "HP scan Application resources has stopped working".

    Scanner works OK with third-party software - but I want to use the features of HP!

    Error occurs using portion of the scanner or ADF (which stops at the bottom of page 1/2).  Software "Full feature" just download on the HP site, multiple times.  Downloaded version: "Setup_Full_8270_14 - 5.exe" tried with 2 computers, both running Windows 7.  Scanner WILL copy a page to the printer, but refuses to create a file for the document or image.

    5590 scanner works fine, but I want that the increased capacity of the 8270!.

    I got the job 8270 as expected!

    Purchased the software on CD, pt # L1975-10010, installed and the scanner now works properly.  Seems to be an older version than the one I had downloaded, but I prefer older if it WORKS again, if it's not!

    Obviously, the HP download package has BUGS.

    Thanks for trying to help; It IS appreciated.  Now, HP will fix the software package on their site, everything will be fine.

  • Cannot retrieve the list of scanning of computer Applications

    I can't get my Dell V715w printer to download the list of scanning my computer Windows 7 applications.

    I reinstalled the printer drivers and software of Dell V715w Wireless all-in-One Printer owners thread (W7).

    I use IE11. I disabled ToolTips and have checked the «never show...» "in printing preferences.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled ABBYY OCR.

    I deleted the host scan from print settings Server Configuration page.

    I have generated new Applications of scanning Dell printer lists.

    I followed the above procedures... "doing things in the right order. Wake up the printer. Restart the computer and the connection.  Once the computer connected, wait 2 minutes.  In the meantime, on the printer, press the scan button. After 2 minutes, on the printer, select the computer you want to scan. Then it must generate applications that you added from the updated list of applications to send scans to.

    None of these things do not work. Do you have any suggestions for me to get the printer to download the Scan Applications list?

    Moreover, the printer works fine in all other respects. It's a printer shared in a Win 7 / Win 8.1 Homegroup. There is no wireless, sharing, or from permissions at all. Just unable to download scan applications list.

    I'll try to do it again.

    Run first remove print jobs to remove stuck print Job (s) of the queue, and then restart your computer.

    Make sure that the printer is not plugged usb cable.

    Start, Panel, programs and features, your printer, uninstall. Make sure that the printer has been deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

    -Do the above for all computers-

    On the printer, click the key, look for reset the wireless adapter and reset

    Download drivers printer wireless Dell V715w all-in-one printer owners thread (W7) if you use Windows 8 or 8.1, install the drivers in compatibility mode Vista SP2

    On the first computer, select new installation, network, and then follow the instructions. It should be to your network and the password.

    On the second computer, and additional computers, select the computer, network and follow the instructions.

    Don't forget the programs anti-virus and firewall will block communications.

    (This should be done on all computers, if you want to scan)

    In the digitization, if you have the disc that came with the printer, and then insert the floppy disk to the printer and keep it from running. Go to my computer and double-click it. Locate the drive that contains the disk Dell inside. Right-click on it, left click Explore. Find the folder of the OCR. In the OCR folder, there is a folder of Abbyy. Right click on setup.exe, which is located in the folder Abbyy and left, click Run as administrator. This will install the OCR program.

    I've used the scanner on my V715w repeatedly, but today I can't. When I choose my computer Inspiron 620 Win 7 to send the scan, it is back with the message that it cannot retrieve the list of scanning of the computer applications.

    If you use a wireless printer, if you know the ip address of the printer, put this in the address bar and press ENTER.

    Click Configurations

    Scan to network host management

    You can click on each of them or delete them all. The printer you will find the next time that you open a session.

    Make sure that the printer and the computer you are scanning are connected to the network wirelessly for at least 2 1/2 minutes.

  • Don't start the EPSON Scan in Windows 7 application

    Hi all

    When I try to run the Epson Scan application, nothing happens.  Let me explain further.

    I have a printer all-in-one Epson Artisan 837 that never gave me any problems on my old Dell under XP SP2 desktop computer.  I recently bought a new Dell Windows 7 Professional XPS8700.  First, I used the printer installation CD and follow the instructions to install Epson.  After installation, the printer works fine, but when I try to start Epson Scan, nothing seems to happen.  I connect the all-in-one to the PC via USB.  Then, I uninstalled all Epson Utilities and tried to reinstall using the package of utility combo for Windows 7 64 bit download on Epson site.  The result is the same; nothing happens when I try to start Epson Scan.

    In Device Manager, the printer appears under imaging as expected devices.

    An image can be obtained using Microsoft Paint (opening "from scanner or camera").

    Printer works fine.

    The all-in-one has also four slots for memory cards, which work very well as well.

    Another Epson utility, called the Epson Event Manager also does not work.  At the launch, I get an error that States, "cannot find the scanner driver. Install the driver before using the event handler".

    I went through the Epson technical support for several days and the result is always the same.  Today, they said that the problem is not related to their products and that there is something in the operating system that prevents the application to open.

    My only thought is that Windows can use its default driver, not the Epson driver.  However, if I try to update the driver through the Device Manager, I always get a message that the more exact driver is already installed.

    Does anyone have suggestions on how to determine what is the problem and why Epson Scan does not work?

    The problem you are experiencing has become a common issue. This issue may have caused due to any third-party firewall or security software. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

    2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

    Run the Fixit for the following Microsoft FixIt link and.

    Disabling third-party security/firewall software has helped to solve this problem in the number of threads, so as a second method try to temporarily disable the third-party security/firewall software and check if it helps.

    a. click Start and type services. MSC , and then tap on enter.

    b. check if Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) is running if not.

    c. right-click on the WIA service and select Properties.

    d. change the startup type on automatic.

    e. click on apply then Ok to save the changes.

  • Adobe (Acrobat esp) applications do have the ability to scan without Nuance Paperport

    I want to uninstall this program, if it is not necessary for scanning. I don't know if it's necessary. I use a brother printer and it came with it, but I wonder if scanning does not require this software.

    Yes, you can scan documents using Acrobat & convert them directly to PDF, please refer to this KB document for help Acrobat help. Analyze the documents in PDF format.

    However, each manufacturer of printers providing its own scanning application, it will be better if you check your printer factory if it is important to use Nuance Paperport application for scanning.

  • Epson Scan software crashing now

    2 days ago, that the Epson Scan application started crashing immediately on opening.  I spent literally 3 hours online with Epson.  In the process I've uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Epson folder, cleaned and reloaded the files library and preferably, but still get the same result.  I tried the setting up of a new user on the computer and first on this new user account that I could open the software but the second time I tried it immediately crashed on the opening.  I guess that I have a conflict with another application or something in the OS, but I'm at a loss at this point.  It is a request that my wife uses frequently so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I see from your post that your Epson scanning application started crashing immediately during opening. You have talked with Epson and tested this question in a new user account, and you are still having a problem. I can certainly understand how it is important that you are able to use your scanner software. I'm happy to help you with this problem.

    You mentioned a potential conflict with another application. I would recommend from your computer in safe mode and then do a test to see if you get the same result with the Epson application crashing. Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening.

    Use OS X El Capitan: start in safe mode, more precisely, this section:

    Start in safe mode can help you diagnose problems you're having with your Mac.

    Important: To print these instructions, click the Share button in the Help window, and then choose print.

    1. Choose the Apple menu > shut down.

    2. After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

    3. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.

      You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.

    4. Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

    To exit safe mode, restart your Mac, but no press during the startup.

    If you find that you are not having a problem with safe mode, take a look at the section 'If a problem does not occur in safe mode"in the article below.

    Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
    Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.

    Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:

    If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
