HP Solution Center: Solution Center does not open

Recently upgraded to W7 to W10.  After many questions, I go back to W7.  Because I started having some "windows install can not find the MSI file" I uninstalled my HP printer and deleted files.  I then reinstalled the printer (C4280 so this is important) and all software.  The printer works fine but Solution Center no longer opens.  When I try to run it, the "Welcome" screen appears for about a second, then it disappears and the program does not start.  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success.  (It worked fine before the aborted W10 upgrade.)  I wonder if an important file (or files) is missing that the Setup program does not replace?  In any case I hope someone can help me to get the program running again!

  • Photosmart e-all-in-one B110a: HP Solution Center does not open

This problem began in late December 2015.  HP Solution Center worked fine until then.

Now the printer works well, but the HP Solution Center does not open, so can not scan to computer or check ink levels.  Tried to uninstall the KB3132372 update [as suggested in this forum] and then everything works.

However, the update (KB3132372) maintains the re-setup and hit the Centre of HP solutions again.

Is there something wrong with the KB update that disrupts the HP driver?

Is that what I can do through a permanent solution? (other than uninstalling KB3132372 immediately prior to scanning)

Thank you.  Problem solved.  I admit I was a little uncomfortable uninstall security updates - but everything is OK now.

  • Media Center does not open on Windows 8.

Recently built a new PC with Win 8 64-bit Pro and Media Center add-on bought.  However, whenever I click on the WMC icon, nothing happens. I installed a bunch of software on my machine, and some of it was a bit old stuff that I had to run in compatibility mode + install other updates (from / seller directly) to work to win 8. I have no doubt that if some of the older things may have pushed something - it seems, remind one of them wanting to install a .NET framework or something - but I don't know how to solve problems.

I tried to turn the checkboxes of the WMC feature and restart but that did not help. I tried to start the PC in safe mode to see if that would help solve the problems, but he did not. My ideas on how to solve the problems and if there is anything I can do in addition to trying the Windows 8 update (ugh). Any ideas to help me? The update would be worth trying? I really don't want to spend a whole day trying to track this one down and a lot of software that I'm not sure that the uninstall is the culprit or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I regularly use solution center to choose the details for scanning and printing. Can anyone help

OK, I did a lot of research on this issue and may be linked to the Adobe Flash's needing to be reinstalled. To do this:

    1. open Internet Explorer (no Chrome or Firefox) and go to: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    2. download and install the latest version (should be a big download button).

    3. try to open the solution Center.

  • Media center does not open

Why can I not use Media center?  It loads then stops.  I went through the system auditor, as suggested, and it does not work. I tried to rebuild the data storage, as suggested, and it does not work. What is the problem with media player?

You can reset WMC also: -.

    Run the Setup again.

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation

    Does that help?

If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.

Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.

    Now reconfigure WMC again

  • HP HP Officejet 4500 g Solution Center: does not open. Worked yesterday morning, did not work yesterday afternoon.

Hi all!  Yesterday morning, I scanned in some documents by using the Center, HP solutions, and later in the day that I was not able to open the Solution Center and got a message saying that my installation was not complete?  I've used this for years with little problem.  I also ran printing HP and Scan doc and shows the printer installed, but when I continue it said that I have to reinstall.

I took the printer to the printer menu, added the printer, but still no luck.

I watched 10 Windows update and found that a lot has been downloaded yesterday some time.  I wonder if anyone has reported problems with updates.  This happened again and when I uninstalled the offending file, everything was fine.

I can print, I can copy, but I can't scan which is very convenient.

I'm not trying to uninstall and reinstall everything just because it creates more problems...

    Any thoughts? Help!

    Mary Anne

OK, I uninstalled and reinstalled.  I was not as painful as I expected.

    Works fine now.
