HP sucks

HP sucks!  Resale right.  They ignore the demands of the customers with impunity.  It's no wonder that the company is in trouble.  I bought a printer all-in-one Officejet 8600.  Great machine BUT, every day, it spits out something called the daily Manager.  Web site of HP said that many customers "inadvertently" hit a button to activate this.  One might think that it would be just as easy to disable this option?  HP no.  After trying the procedure complicated for half an hour, I gave up.  Vain emails.  Finally, I asked a refund that I refuse to use the machine.  The few times where I have to turn it on to do a quick copy, appears off a daily charge or even two!  He even printed on paper that I had placed in the status bar that needed a few extra items added. The * beep * daily charge comes just right and printed right above all else, ruin.  Frustrating doesn't begin to describe my anger.  Unless or until they give me a refund, I will post my tale of woe in the world.  I'll nev er deal with this company again.  Joe S.

  • Can't get the icon and text for the items on the bar, sucking tabs of tools! cannot arrange icons I liked firefox 28 better for customization, but it crashes... NOT HAPPY!

There is no space and firefox said I can put icons on the tool bar anywhere... it jumps at the end and I can't get anything in the middle of the page, the icons are small, and there is no option to enlarge them and add text to the icon. the tabs that look like a file folder suck. There is no option to add a toolbar or put tabs on top overall is 10 steps backward instead of an improvement... you had something very friendly with 28 and you're just screwed I will seek another browser

Hi Gary, you come earlier to the new UI design? There is an old article on how to use an add-on to restyle it as the interface classic Firefox 4-28, or even earlier. If you do not have another browser that makes you happy, please take a look: How to make the new look of Firefox as the old Firefox.

If you have no patience for the configuration of an add-on, the suite Seamonkey maybe worth a visit, as I believe it can probably import your Firefox data: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/

  • Firefox, now sucks but was great before the update.

    Ok...
I updated Firefox a few days ago and now everything is slow, suspended and notchy & a bit of sucking. There is no problem whatsoever before the update. I want to go back. I don't want to spend 6 hours to try this and and the other thing. Just zap the 'upgrade' and take me back so that I can work on all the other BS "updates" from other sites such as the FU * ING IDIOTS to Yahoo that has made my email life a nightmare.
I'm sorry. I love Firefox, but this is bad. And I give you a few generous THUMBS UP for having this opportunity to communicate my grievances, unlike much other BS, like Yahoo services. You deserve a reward for service or something. You have email?
    Cheers, etc..

This occurred ranging from 38.0.5 to 39.0.3, that would be an update of the main version, or 39.0 at 39.0.3, which was a unique security solution?

If this problem occurred since the security fix, maybe some program files were damaged. To address this problem, the following is pretty fast:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (no incompatible or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 39.0.3 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) close Firefox (if applicable).

    (3) to rename the existing Firefox program folder, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

When you start Firefox, is not better performance?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
  • How can I get rid of the Locator that I never, ever want on my toolbar and which cannot be "removed from the toolbar" manually? He sucks, he disrupts, UNWANTED

suddenly, I have a really scary "locator" in my toolbar that keeps asking me if I want to share my location. Fork no! Totally not desired. When I right click the option "remove from toolbar" is dead. Sucks. Can I stop using mozilla because of this. Help please

This happens when sites Web requests access to your location. Instead of automatically give to Web site, firefox asks if you want to share. If you never share your location, follow these steps:

    1. type "subject: config" in the address bar
2 in the search box that appears, type "geo.enabled".
    3. double-click on the entry which seems set to false

  • Very close to the dumping of Mozilla Thunderbird. The slow is simply not worth the hassle and support sucks.

I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for many years. It has always been a good system. Now, I get so when I hit delete, it takes a minute or two to delete the e-mail message. I tried to follow all the instructions on the help system and have turned off Mcafee whenever I try to read my mail.

I'm not an expert in computers, but can generally follow directions well enough. The help of this system Mazilla fact dependent on questions of a group doesn't make any easier these problems. I see the same questions asked by many people without clear answers to why this is happening.

Unfortunately, if this problem is not resolved soon, I'll have to drop Mozilla for another system...

Saying suck it support is not exactly being polite towards those which expect free aid. I prefer to think that you are just frustrated and the offensive remark was not intentional.

It would be useful that you could provide some information about your situation, etc.

You have McAfee and you say stop reading emails, do not turn off completely, just stop it analyzes e-mails. This will mean that you don't have to keep it work and stop.
Here are the instructions to do this.

Please provide the following information, so that it is possible to get an understanding of your situation and the installation program:

    • What operating system do you use?
    • What version of Thunderbird?
    • It's an IMAP or POP e-mail account, that has the problem?
    • If IMAP - is it a gmail account?
    • You have one or more e-mail accounts?
    • How frequently you compact your folders?
    • When did finally empty and compact your deleted folder?
    • You have several folders?

    • This file used as an Inbox for mail entering with only a few mails is inside or used to store a load of emails?
    • Have you set up archiving Options to archive by month and keep the folder structure?
    • Do you have emails Archive more of for example: one month, two months?

Please answer the queries above, if the forum includes your current situation.

  • WTF are people who you are? Firefox sucks almost as bad as IE now, stop to "fix".

With each new version, suck you a little more.

You've become as bad as google, update and change without valid reason, in a race down with yourself.

I started using Firefox the whole reason is because it worked now after thousands of installs and convincing users to ditch IE, you become just as bad.

I now restart Firefox a dozens of times per day on 3 machines I use on a daily basis. The memory requirements are staggering and FF is now SLOW.

The first thing you say out of the box "you have too many Add ons", sorry, I only use one, noscript, and not even that on 2 of the three machines.

Three tabs open and almost 600 000 K and using 1 to 12% CPU just to type this text.

You don't have to bother with an answer, just clean up your mess. In the alternative, we all wait someone come and eat your lunch. Give me a browser that WORKS and I'll forget that Firefox ever existed.

The people who answer questions here are for the most part, other users Firefox dedicating volunteer their time (like me), not employees of Mozilla or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave a comment for the developers of Firefox, you can go to the Firefox help menu and select submit comments... or use this link. (You will need to be on the latest version of Firefox to submit comments). Your comments gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and collect data on the most common questions.

You can also write a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org

Make sure that you use the bug writing guidelines.

Its a bit surprising your memory now since most leaks that Firefox had in the past, the questions are fixed slowly with each new version.

  • Firefox 4 sucks big time. I uninstalled and downloaded 3.6.17.

Sorry, Mozilla, but Firefox 4 sucks big time. I uninstalled and downloaded 3.6.17. I have disabled the automatic updates. V4 breaks JQuery and who knows what else, so I'll be a customer throughout my version of v3.6.17, coz I'm simply not having established, clean, great code killed by the browser! Only, I'm building web apps, so I have to get all my clients to stop the upgrade, too. I've been a Firefox guy for years, but it's the end of my rope. Chrome is very good, as is Safari. I guess one of them is going to be my browser go forward.

Thank you all. I'm back, with my clients to the latest version of Firefox and have ruled on issues of JQuery. Firefox still rocks! Except maybe this logo that looks like a bowling ball, breaking a poor little Fox.

  • Multi Slide Slider control is sucking cycles cpu

This is a control (see attachment) it is simply in the presence on a façade sucks 25% cpu on my machine.  She seems to be the 3 slider slide that is causing the problem.  I find that I can replace the control (it starts as a Horizontal Point silver slide) and he moved up to the next time that the vi is still loaded into memory.  Anyone seen this before? FYI - I created this control so that it appears as a data type of cluster with 3 digits, the first being the visible cursor, which is the present value, the second digital being the lower limit and the third being digital upper limit.

Found a solution!  The problem was caused by coloring the first two transparent cursors.  If I customize the cursor and move the first two sliders upward and out of Visual range it seems to calm down the cpu issue completely.

  • Sucks TC 120 - information BIOS

    Hello, everyone!

I currently BIOS version P11 - A2 installed in my desktop sucks TC - 120, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting the bootable disk to work in my PC. I tried

    • Darik Boot and Nuke
    • Memtest86 +.
    • 15.2 Hiren BootCD

and also a few Linux "Live" DVD. All seem to be ignored and the computer will only Windows 8.1.

I used the discs above in an old desktop HP Pavilion of eleven year and they all work perfectly.

I turned off "Secure Boot" and define the order of start 1: CD/DVD, 2nd: removable, 3rd device: Windows operating system, but it makes no difference. I also tried a Linux OS that I put on a USB stick using UNetbootin, but it is also ignored by the system.

There are two updates available for my PC BIOS

Can one of your Tech' team tell me if BIOS P11. A2L is likely to solve the problem I'm having? It doesn't seem to be release notes that tell me what problems A2L bugs.

    Thank you for your help.

L BIOS are for only (without OS or with factory Linux) linux systems, so that you cannot use to Flash a BIOS not in L.

You must upgrade to 11.A3 to be sure.

Since you mentioned the secure startup, your BIOS has UEFI parameter and you need a compatible bootable EFI media to be able to start.

    • Darik Boot and Nuke
    • Memtest86 +.
    • 15.2 Hiren BootCD

These aren't compatible EFI and you must set your BIOS to launch MSC or legacy, if these options are available.

Take a look if XC-603 parameters can be run on your system too:

    http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/33958/~/how-to-enable-launch-CSM-on-the-aspire-XC-6...

On Linux, most distro are compatible EFI but you need to burn the iso of the correct way files, try Rufus allows you to create a bootable EFI USB flash drive:

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/?locale=en_US

SET options as on the home screen.
