Hello:

That I don't know. It must have worked.

OK time to try something else.  Change the setting in the BIOS to AHCI.

Read this link on how to integrate the AHCI drivers in a copy of the XP Setup disk. Read the article from Intel.

Here is the link for the Intel AHCI drivers. I would like to wake each other. This way you will be sure to have included the right.  Second download is XP 32-bit.

    Hi all.

I have a Satellite Pro A300-1DZ system unit, model no PSAG1E-OOFOO4EN (think they are 'o' and not '0', circle with slash through it) with WXP Pro.

I recently contracted a virus inside and as he removed, however it is not good so I want to re - install Windows XP Home edition. I backed up the computer, I have a Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition disk and I have my product key.
I put the CD/DVD in BIOS to run 1 drive and tells me that I can boot from the CD, I press a button and it loads the CD, select the option where to install windows.

BUT! I can t go further than what windows does not detect the HD said he s not now, or whatever.

My question is this: Please can someone me step by step instructions on how to reinstall XP and a link to all the drivers I need to make it work?

    Hi jeff

    Here's your solution:
    1. go to bios with F2 when you see the toshiba start screen.
    2. Select the arrow to the left using the "Advanced".
3 press down until you get to "SATA Controller Mode".
4 change, using F7/F8, Chang [AHCI] setting [compatibility].
    5. make sure the CD/DVD drive is the first to start and F10 save and exit. computer restart when you are prompted to "press any key" press a button and hey presto as before windows will start the installation, but this time you won't get windows you said:

Set up did not find Ant hard disks installed on your computer.

Make sure any drive HARD are powered on and properly connected to your computer and any hard disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or Setup program.

implementation cannot continue press f3 to goto hell... uh I mean leaving the installation

And you can continue on your installation of Windows XP Home edition.

Hope I helped many other jeff's in the same boat. XD

    Hello

I'm from the Italy. It is 3 days that my Satellite Pro 6100 after some time (it can be 30 minutes or 3 hours) close itself.
I tried to update bios version 1.70 to 1.90 without any result. I tested my HARD drive and it works fine. I formatted and reinstalled Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition but the problem that it is still there.
When it crash, reboot, it seems 'BAD RTC BATTERY' and "BAD CMOS", I have to press F1, then I exit without changing anything.

I saw that 3 weeks ago appears at the beginning of this message: "PXE - E61 MEDIA TEST FAILURE CHECK CABLE"and"PXE - MOF OUTGOING INTEL PXE ROM" but works laptop well until 2 days ago.

I don't know why, but every time I restart now stop when WINDOWS XP is on the window (not the first logo on page WXP black) cyan, but the second on the window cyan; can do work that I have to press CTRL + ALT + CANCELLED and it go to the desktop.

Sorry for my English, I read a few post but exactly with my problems, there is no job.
Thanks in advance, it's a great laptop I jump to save it.

p.s. There is no dust on it, I tried to lift the keyboard to clean, but it was already clean, even behind the fan.

    Hello supertraz,

On 6100 laptop there is a soft spot between the control panel and from the motherboard, causing this malfunction. You will not be able to solve this problem simply raise your keyboard and blowing air into your laptop.

A good description on this problem (I had, too) can be found on this forum posted by user seintaxx here:

I am new to this and I have a problem with my Portege 7200CT wherein it does not detect the Cardbus IBM IEEE 1394 card I inserted in the PCMCIA slot.

WinXP SP2 Pro is the operating system on my laptop. Until I updated to Win98SE, I was able to use this Cardbus of IEEE card without any problems.

Please tell us what to do.

    Hello

When you put the PCMCIA card in the slot is it beep? In Device Manager, there at - it a new topic?

If you have a driver CD try install driver first, and then use the PCMCIA card.

  • BIOS paranoia - Satellite P10

    Hi friends,

Read of problems have after changing the BIOS update I ask is it worth it, or necessary, some people seem paranoid to get new ones but then all sorts of problems. I've updated my P10 804 on [4years old] which was pre installed with the House of Windows XP Home edition to Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition.

Should I update? If I do, how can I know that that tosh have for me is the right one for my cassis implemented as it probably assumes I still have the original home addition.

Thanks for any advice you want to share,
    Colin,

PS: happy xmass to you all!

    Hi Colin

Paranoia of BIOS? ?:| What the BIOS update is always risky!
The BIOS wrong or bad BIOSO can damage the motherboards ROM module

You are right; many people here ask always new updates of BIOS for different reasons. My laptop is 4 years old and I ve never updated the BIOS on this subject.
Why? Because that the laptop runs correctly and I don t see reasons why I should update the BIOS.

So I always took this advice; never change running system!
Maybe it s a good tip for you also

  • Satellite A200-12V driver problem

I bought a Satellite A200-12V during the Christmas sales and decided to downgrade the OS from Vista to XP SP2.
I went during the major part of the allocation of this forum and installed XP on the machine. (after wake the mobile ICH8 driver and the bus driver from realtek on xp drive).
I also install the driver for the graphics chip, the driver LAN and wireless trouble-free device driver at all. (Also Windows update as well).

The only problem I am facing is whenever I try to install the chipset driver or other drivers as mass storage device drivers (I think that's going to be the TI card reader driver), touchpad, key software are supported on Fn and the Chicony Camera Assistant Software from the Toshiba driver, I always had a blue screen of death just after the restart. Even if I had a created restore point before the installation of the driver, the machine jumps to the blue screen just after the restoration of the system.

I have flashed the BIOS to the version for XP... and I have no idea on what to do next if it executes correctly.

I hope that someone in this forum can make me light in solving this mystery. It's a real pain after you have reinstalled XP on the same HDD during more than 20 times of testing and errors. ; p

    Hello

For me there is no sense to install any driver if you have had no success with chipset installation. Driver chipset is the basis for other stuff for me. I installed Windows XP SP2 Pro family edition several times on different A200 and P200 successfully. The BIOS is the version of Windows XP Home edition and it is very good. Please use the Windows XP SP2 home edition installation. After the fresh install of WXP follow the instructions facilities document (if available) and please follow this order of the facilities. It is very important.

Moreover, the number of PAxxxx who has your laptop?

  • Question about the installation of the driver on Satellite L20-153 PSL2XE

Hi, a friend gave me his system Satellite L20 to install XP Pro SP2 (System was originally shipped with XP Home). After installation of XP Pro SP2, I tried to install the driver from the chipset of the page of the driver from the site, but I kept receiving a message saying the driver chipset could not be installed because my Windows installation was not complete. After visiting the page of the driver again and looking at the installation order for the L20 I was shocked to see so many microsoft updates and patches which supposedly must be installed before I install the drivers on the system.
What I want to know is... what the precise order of installation? I'm having trouble getting all the specified updates and patches needed for the operating system...

Any advice or ideas would be graetly appreciated.

    Thank you

You are right. Satellite L20 comes with Windows XP Home edition at home but with the SP2 version. There is no difference and all the drivers can be installed with Windows XP Sp2 Pro family edition. I really don't understand what you're doing wrong.

After installing WXP Pro boot up your laptop and install all the stuff of Toshiba following the install Instructions document and the exact order of facilities described here. You should not install all patches from Microsoft. When you are finished with the drivers, tools and utilities to just install activate Microsoft update and install available updates automatically.
Be careful on SP3. Many people here report on the difficult problems after installing SP3.

  • Satellite L300D-12Y - vertical stripes with 3D acceleration

    Hello

I bought a L300D-12Y some days and I do not like Vista, I installed Windows XP (SP2 Pro) on this subject. Then, I installed the drivers from the driver (display - 20090127162159.zip) page and began to play games to check the performance of the machine. Whatever the game I play, after some time (it can be a few seconds after the start of the game or minutes) the game (or software) falls down and something like the following image appears:

    http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/9684/dsc03130.jpg

If the program/game is runt on a window, and GPU of ATI get activated, a window with an error I have to submit the accident to the driver for ATI appears:

    http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/8616/dsc03145.jpg

It happens regardless of the graphics in the game API (OpenGL or DirectX) and it really bothers me because I'm a student in computer engineering and I need support of acceleration 3D for some of my work...
It also happens with the latest version of driver ATI Catalyst 9.2.

I have a feeling that it is mistake to drive... Any solution or suggestion appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hello

    > No.... It is software.
    > He was unable on Vista, I can run any program / game and it does not...
Maybe you did install a display driver that isn't compatible with the graphics card or overheating GPU
Have you installed the special display for XP driver and your model of laptop (L300D-12 years) or is this designed for a laptop display driver?

As Akuma already written, you can try to update the BIOS. Just visit the Toshiba page for an update and install it!

In the worst cases, to use the preinstalled operating system and I put t understand why you installed another OS? In my opinion this laptop is fast enough for Vista and I think that it is also designed for this OS

  • Satellite 3000 - x 11: where can I find a BIOS

There seems to be a problem with the BIOS file available of this laptop through from Toshiba Web sites. He says that he is is not the correct BIOS for my Satellite 3000 - X 11 PS301E-001VY-EN. other people seem to also I have this problem, for example

where the correct bios for this laptop? I'm on version 1.0 and having huge problems. I decided to try a rebuild to fix things. After finishing the installation of Win XP (tried both Home sp1 and SP2 Pro - identical problems) I start to install device drivers and just start getting screens blue and exclamation mark against devices.

Sounds like a BIOS update is certainly needed to fix this, but I can't find any useful info on the ' net. Even immediately after the installation of Windows there is an exclamation mark against the audio device.

There seems to be something fundamentally wrong here!

    Help, please!

    Hello

I found the 1.6 BIOS on the Toshiba driver page. It of fine here.
I put t know how you tried to update the BIOS, but you should first read the guide to update Toshiba lines before you start the update of the BIOS.

I downloaded the BIOS 1.6 and there is a Readme.txt file.
According to this information, you should be sure to update the BIOS and driver to display the same date.

You must also install the Chip Set Utility on the Toshiba site before installing drivers XP on this laptop.

    Check boyfriend!

  • How can I activate the WiFi mini-PCI satellite 1905-S301 card?

Greetz! I have installed a network card wireless mini-PCI in option in my Toshiba Satellite 1905-s301 specifications and turned on the power switch. MS Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition recognized hardware and install its drivers - there is no cross or question mark next to the Atheros AR5001X + Wireless Network Adapter in Device Manager. However the connection of wireless network manager tells me that there is no current wireless network card. When pressing Fn + F8 a window appears saying that there is no build-in wireless LAN.

What should I do to activate my mini-PCI Wireless LAN card? If possible, send your suggestions to my email, please!

    Hello

You must activate the WLan switch on the side of the laptop!
Additional select the WLAN card properties and check under the Advanced tab.
There should be an option called turn on/off the Radio. You will need to fix on.

  • My Satellite A60 get "crazy".

    Hello everyone
After you have installed Windows XP pro on the same default partition Windows was intalled in, my Satellite A60 began to turn off suddenly after a while, the screen changes to its minimum luminance, so I see nothing unless I move the slider, the carpet * a DVD - RAM drive only recognizes the CD, the computer takes place automatically and when I try to go back to Windows all I get is a black screen , and so on...
So I thoug maybe it's energy-saving settings of the Toshiba on the first installation of windows that has one influence on others its management power settings, so I uninstalled Toshiba Power saver, nothing changed :(
Then I tried to install it on the new windows (sp2 pro) but I got an error that prevents the execution of the program

    Someone knows a solution?

    Hello

I assume that you have installed your own operating system and not delivered image recovery media. Am I wrong?

Believe me on this path is not easy to say what may be the problem. Is there a message of error before the unit turns off?

By the way: this happens with the recovery image?
