HP zbook 15g 2: who is inside port/slot available not documented?

Hello

I am the owner of this workstation, after operating a deep research amongst: Hp Web sites for specifications (all available versions: http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04407527.pdf and http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04434046.pdf?ver=4.0) I can't find what kind of internal/port/expansion slot is I've highlighted in the image below. It would seem an msata one but after checking (documentation and photo), it should not. Can you help me recgnize please?

Thank you.

In the end I found it. This is the slot for the Wan card; Here's the url where is shown by HP how to replace:http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/...978814&docId=emr_na-c04472091&docLocale=en_US

  • Port 139 does not not on Windows 7 after deployment.

    Hello

I created some images of new installations of Windows 7. But the pack of GPO that is applied in MDT 2012 changes settings in windows 7 so that port 139 does not correctly work with gap analysis network SMB.
recently we bought workstations that already have a Windows 7 image on them. But because computers OS was deployed hollow some imaging modalities 139 port does not work properly. Is there such a tool from Microsoft to restore the port 139 on a charge CD Windows 7 feature?
Or any Microsoft employee who has done any research into this problem and tested and found a solution to this problem?
    Thank you.

You can take this on the Technet forums because I don't know where the sizes are fixed. One thing to remember when the GPO is that in many cases, changes may "tattoo" the registry and must be explicitly changed back instead of be reset to the default value.

    Hello!

Just install my new M3 and Advanced Port Replicator III. Everything works fine, but the Port Replicator is not recognized as a Docking Station (No disconnect in menu button start XP; pressing disconnect button on the Port Replicator itself has no effect either).

    Is TI WHEREAS behavior?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

You reinstall the unit with the recovery CD?
As far as I know that the TOSHIBA Mobile Extension3 for Windows XP is responsible for the good condition of the market of the docking station.
Well, I recommend to reinstall this driver and utility.
Perhaps the installation of the new driver will solve this problem.

  • Port forwarding does not work on EA6900

Please help me to know what is the reason for this port forwarding does not work on my Linksys router:

    Model: EA6900 v1.1
    Firmware version: 1.1.42.161129

I've set up two ports: TCP 22 and 8070 TCP to 192.168.1.10. (192.168.1.10 is up and running, I can reach the LAN ports).

Yesterday, I had a live chat with Linksys support we tried to re - download the firmware even, but that did not help. Then factory reset and reconfigure the router did not help either.

Unchecking "Filter anonymous Internet requests" and disable uPNP didn't help either (they have been suggested in similar topics).

However, the IP displayed tab troubleshooting/Diagnostics reflect my external IP address (the IP displayed by http://whatismyip.com), which is weird, because I never have IP from my ISP from 100, that is displayed on the Diagnostics tab. So I guess it's a fake display or it relates to access to my router via www.linksyssamrtwifi.com ?

Anyway I tried the two IPs from the outside, but the transfer simply doesn't work. (It works fine when I use my old router TP-Link).

    Please advise!

Sorry guys, it seems indeed a double NAT problem. My ISP can detected MAC address change when I started using EA6900 (thinking that I couldn't not need public IP?) and since then he sends me IPs for NAT - ed. It is strange that the same day, he was working with my old router, but now it is even not working with my old router and not even working when I connect directly to my windows PC to my ISP (via PPPoE). I called their support line and they said that they will solve this problem within 72 hours. In any case, thanks for your help!

  • N2048 port security does not

    Hi Experts,

Only, we have deployed a new site that uses the Dell N2048 switches in a stack.

Now we would add port security to the switch, Port-MAC locking to lockdown one port if another computer.

According to the manual, to put in place we only need of to the port to locked under the MISTLETOE under switching, network security, port security.

    This does not activate it.

We tried to add via the command line, in the ports of test, it now shows:

switchport security of dynamic ports 1

Still, port security is not enabled. There is another thing that must be enabled in the world to do this job or other commands?

    Thank you

The output of port security-# show is as follows:

    Port Security Administration Mode: enabled

It is possible that the tests were not done fast enough. I spent the time-out and ask them to test again.

    Thank you

  • Port 0 is not blocked the victim

We were see switchis sig alerts with gravity high and port 0 that are not blocked by IPS of the victim. All other ports are blocked are the same sig alert. I understand that port 0 is not valid port for traffic, but I read some articles which suggests there have been reports of port 0 being used to test and/or DDoS attacks. We do not know whether we should change the rule of action to block port 0 or if it is still possible.

Information or suggestions on this subject are welcome.

You have a sample alert you can share - strip anything sensitive (ip, data context, etc.)... I suspect that you see a summary alert when the port gets zeroed - in the alert, you will see that there is indication 'summary' - individual alerts consumed by the alert of synthesis would be to drop packets if it was the action that is affected.

  • When I plug my portable hard drive to the usb port it does not read and display the contents...

When I plug my portable hard drive to the usb port it does not read and display the contents...

    Hi deaza,.

Ø Have you connected the USB hard drive to the computer directly or you have used an external USB hub to connect?

O trying to connect to another USB port to check if it works?

O the hardrive shows in windows of the computer when you connect it?

    Method 1:
If you have installed security software, I suggest you to temporarily disable the security software and connect the USB and check to see if the same problem happens. Make sure that you enable the security software after checking.

Alternatively, you can try to plug the USB key into a different USB port and check if it helps.

    Method 2:
I suggest trying to launch hardware and troubleshooting of devices and check to see if it helps, here is the link:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-to-do-when-a-device-isn ' t-installed-correctly

    Method 3:
If this does not help, then follow these steps:

    (a) remove all your USB devices. Use the safely remove the feature to turn them off.

    (b) open Device Manager and navigate to the section for USB. Uninstall all USB drives. There should be one for each USB port, and then restart.

To open Device Manager, go to the link below and follow the steps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Device-Manager

    (c) Windows should re - find all of the devices. If it is not the case, note the error message and let us know.

You can also navigate to the link below and follow the steps to install the USB device.

  • A MMC stuck inside the slot of memory card in DV2 laptop

I wanted to put a MMC console in the card slot. Not only it did not work, but he also went inside the slot & more I tried, more it happened.

    What should I do?

BTW in the slot, it is written ' SD.MS/PRO. MMC XD '.

It does not mean that it is compatible with MMC cards?

All except the larger format flash media cards need adapters. Most of the cards, as the ultra II Micro SD cards have included adapters. The following image is of the adapter supplied with an Ultra II Micro SD card I use in my HTC Desire HD.

The micro SD card fits into a slot under the SanDisk Word. This adapter fits into my loan HP dv7-4180ea and 5-in-one media SD in my laptop Toshiba Satellite. Unfortunately, you will need to gently remove the card yourself or have to take it to a store.

  • Standard vSwitch_Custom VM (Vlan200_VM network) port group does not.

    Hi guys...

    Scnerio:

    ESXi 5.0

    VCenter 5.0

2 connected local network cards to vswitich 0 Active\Active configuration.

    The virtual computer name: FSAPP_1

Note: good VLANS are created externally NETWORK

I created another group of ports VM network VLAN 200_VMnetwork.

I have attached TWO maps LAN to VM. A LAN card is connected to the port default VM network group and another is connected to network VLAN200_VM.

A LAN card is connected to the local network (Private IP) and another is connected to the Wan (public IP)... IF I CONNECT the TWO VMNIC "DEFAULT virtual machine network" I am able to ping both subnets.

But any vNIC which is connected to the VLAN200_VM network is NOT working...

    Please see the attached snapsshots...

    Thank you

I did not ask you to do what I asked you to test is the separate two VM on the host even be configured to use the VLAN 200 portgroup and verify that these two people are able to talk to each other.

Once you've found that the books above. Go back to your network team and make the request to configure the switch in the trunk output ports (which does not remove the tag VLAN on the package on the output of the switch) as opposed to be defined as access (that strips the tag VLAN).

It is my firm belief that the port group does not work because your switch is misconfigured based on my above statement.

  • HP Zbook 15 3, Thunderboltdock: Ethernet on dock thunderbolt will not work

    I have problems with my dock Thunderbolt 3 150W and my Zbook 15 3 ethernet, Windows 7 / 64-bit.

I had many issues before with the system after an update of the BIOS (slow performance, usb poorts this work would ' t, windows that would not download updates, ect.). I read a lot of postst similar problems. The material was exchanged by HP, but the problems remain, and I found myself only to install the BIOS and updates. Thanks HP!
After a long period of fiddeling I'm back at work.

Except for the Ethernet on the quay of the lightning. Somehow the pilots are not inatlled / available. The Ethernet / WIFI on the laptop works very well, but not on the dock.

I don't know where to find the right drivers / how to install them. Who can help?

I have the Zbook 15 G3 workstation Mobile using the Zbook Thunderbolt 3 dock:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/workstations/zbook-dock.html

I send you this on the Zbook connected to the dock using its gigabit ethernet port. HP Support Assistant provided all the drivers needed for the dock. Here is the screenshot of my device manager:

What is your device under network devices Manager? The Intel ethernet is built in the and the Broadcom NetXtreme is ethernet in the dock. HP has drivers for both on the support page for Windows 10 64-bit on the Zbook G3 home page.

I got a little difficult at first to get the dock to work, but I went into BIOS and disabled all the security settings of Thunderbolt. If you need any help post more come back.

  • Junction UCS ports worksheet does not, no integration of WWW.

    Hello!

    Key:

    VLAN 200 - all the 20.1.1.0/24

    VLAN 201 - 20.1.2.0

    VLAN 202 - 20.1.3.0

    VLAN 203 - 20.1.4.0

    VLAN 204 - 20.1.5.0

Just migrated some UCS, HCI SuperMicro and physical servers above 5ks/fex again 9 k column spinal/leafs Cisco ACI running.  Worked well on the 5ks, access ports if necessary, logs allowing VLAN 200 to 204 will stuff UCS and SuperMicro.

Before I continue, note I am NOT currently any VMM integration, just try to get the same trunk ports to the beach above of VLAN on ports leafs. ***

Thus, servers physical and other access ports work perfectly.  The links of the trunk of the UCS and SuperMicro don't seem to work right.  By focusing on just the UCS, I can see the entry ARP for the UCS himself, but no resolved IP address.  In addition, I don't see any MAC/IP addresses the Server Blade, or anything else.

For static bindings EPG, I tried marked (assuming that the law) and not signposted.  ENCAP different VLAN (current vlan-203) but nothing seems to work.  Side of a LLDP and CDP UCS active as I was.

Speaking of VLAN, I built 5 EPG to do this, each corresponding to a function from one of the 5 VLAN above.  However, the UCS trunk links should allow all VLAN 200-204.  I have a jump on 20.1.2.5 server that cannot call the 20.1.2.x IPs who also live in the UCS, because there are certain types of disconnect to the where the ACPI cannot see in the links of the trunk at all.  I don't know if it's related or fabric EPG associated config.

I would be very happy to provide additional information, because I'm dead in the water.  Thank you very much.

    Josh

It depends on if the non - UCS hosts are on the same sheet or not.  You can map an EPG on different ports with some tag and others do not.  There are the limitations when you want to have multiple ports on the same sheet as however no marked.  A single VLAN ID cannot be the tag & unidentified on the same sheet. Even when we put a static as path "unidentified, or 802.1 p ', still need to assign a VLAN unique traffic (can not also be VLAN 201).  It's really a VLAN arbitrariness to the fabric only.  Any evacuation traffic or infiltration of the connected device would send/receive traffic without a tag VLAN.

Example let's say you have a UCS connected on port 1 and a re-usable on port 2 (same sheet).  You can set EPG - A 'tag vlan 201' for the UCS, and "untagged vlan-205" ports for re-usable connected ports.  Even if the program is different, it does not matter.  The two ports will land in the EPG even at the end of the day and be able to communicate.

    Make sense?

    Robert

Here's what the config would look like. * Note that my pool VLAN ranges from 200-205, since ACI must allocate a VLAN of the pool especially for unmarked ports (System requirements).  As your hosts are directly connected to the canvas, the VLAN is arbitrary.  We just want that they arise in the EPG even.
