• HP2540: Try to scan document as hp2540 10.1 Windows gives printing alignment page

  When I try and scan a document using HP2540 10.1 (64-bit) Windows, scan seems to work, but simply creates an image of the page alignment test, rather than the document.

  The printer before 10 Windows, but not sure that we scanned in fact do anything during this time. It is perhaps the first time that we tried. (I must say, downloaded application all-in-one 100 MB seems like overkill for a driver, which does not seem to recognize when even as a Windows driver)

  Have been rattling for a couple of hours trying to update the drivers - think this may be the cause? - but things have got more complex since I finally made this kind of thing (20 years ago!) and Windows insists the drivers are up to date...

  I expect the problem is due to my Windows - tips or tricks received inadequacies with gratitude...

  Hi, the reason why you get this message is because there is no driver software available for mobile devices. In order to print from the iPad on the Deskjet 2540, you can use the Apple's AirPrint feature that is integrated into the operating system iOS on iPad. Simply connect the iPad to a wireless network and then connect the printer to the same network (consult the guide online for how to do this and after back if you have problems).

  When you want to print a photo/email/webpage or document on the iPad just click the action icon and impression should show as an option. Select Print and the device should find the 2540 Deskjet on the network and you can go front and printing. Here is a link to all the information you need to know about AirPrint

  You try to connect via Wireless direct or via a local network?

  If you try to use a local area network, the printer is connected to the network?

  Are your mobile devices using the Android Apple iOS operating system?

• hp2540: error with Hp2540 series scanning AirPrint

  I'm trying to scan documents and I get the following text:

  Scan reported that an error HP2540 series is currently unavailable. Please check if it is connected or turned on and try again later

  I went into the settings and I couldn't do anything with computer scan but Webscan seemed available but I don't know what it is. I tried it, it seemed to scan but there is no option to save. So I do not know if it is scanned or where to find the documents. I did turn off the printer and turn it back on. This sometimes happens, and there is no rhyme or reason to when and why as far as I can tell.

  Any ideas on how to get it to work again?

  I understand that you can not scan with your printer HP Deskjet 2540 on Mac OS X. I'm happy to discuss this issue scan for you!

  A few questions for beginners:

  1. You are able to make copies with your printer? Copy the text or mixed Documents.
  2. What version of Mac OS X are you using? If you do not know the operating system you are using, please visit this site. Whatsmyos.
  3. How is the printer connected? USB or wireless?

  In the meantime, please consult this guide to scanning, 'inaccessible Scanner' or ' year error occurred while scanning "message for HP Deskjet 1510, 2540 Deskjet, Deskjet Ink Advantage 1510 and series printer Deskjet Ink Advantage 2545.

• HP2540 cannot print tables in Word on photo paper

  Hi all

  I have a printer all-in-HP2540 with free Wi - Fi and use Windows 8.1

  I created a table in Word, I want to print on photo paper. It allows to print one-third of the page and then stops (in the same place every time).

  My drivers are up to date. My jpeg images print on paper with no problems. A Word document with text prints on paper with no problems. This table will be printed on normal paper with no problems. I can save the chart in pdf format and print it, but I lose the quality of the image.

  If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know.

  If please try following the steps below and let me know if that can help you:

  1. Open the HP Deskjet 2540 software, then click on the link to the Home Page of the printer (EWS).
  2. Click the network tab.
  3. Click network , and then click network (IP) address .
  4. Click Manual IP and then click suggest a manual IP address . An IP address manually, the subnet mask and default gateway shows.
  5. Remember to take note of the IP address and confirm the changes, and then close the EWS page.
  6. Of the HP Deskjet 2540 sotfware click the utility tab, and then click IP address update.
  7. Type the IP address that is configured manually, click Save and confirm.
  8. Open Control Panel and go to devices and printers.
  9. Right click on the HP Deskjet 2540 icon and select printer properties.
  10. Open the Ports tab.
  11. Click Add Port , select Standard TCP/IP and click New Port.
  12. Follow the procedure by typing the IP address that is configured manually and confirm the changes.

  Now try printing and check if the problem solved.

• HP2540 all-in-one printer/Scan: wireless connectivity cannot be maintained for printer HP2540

  Printer worked fine using my own home router for 2 years. HP2540 printer - firmware Rev. CP1FN1333AR. OS 8.1 win has recently switched to the service where the ISP of router and printer will not retain any connectivity beyond a single print job. Have 1) reset printer and a router using the low power - several times 2) confirm last HP printer updates are on printer, HP Scan Doctor) 3 performance s/w and connected via USB cable to load new network settings) 4 "uninstalled" and resinstalled on PC and network 5) correctly printed Page of HP Network Config after installation wireless. " Connectivity, then abandoned and doctor Scan indicate "no connected printer" and refers to the USB and wireless install routines, which none has solved the problem.

  All net settings (IP addresses of printer, gateway etc. look OK, SSID matches net name, intensity of the GIS is correct, channel 11 assigned.) Bottom of the Gen section' of the page information HP Net Config says Internet 'Not connected' and a warning "Web Services require the printer in order to have a connection with an Internet connection. I try only to print local PC docs generated however.

  I added the HP2540 printer as a printer of cloud of Chrome (via laptop). I see it as a printer available in the list under the chromebox. When I print something, nothing happens?

  What's wrong? Do I have to download the drivers, or...?

  This is the way a conventional printer works, it must be connected to a computer to print.

  Here are the instructions to set up the ad-hoc connection on the Mac.

  Make sure that the wireless is enabled on the Mac.

  Reset the printer.
  Click on airport high right.
  Click on the HP printer in the list. (you don't have to create it, it should automatically find the printer)

  If it does not find the printer then I restart the Mac and try again.
  It takes about 3 minutes to connect.
  Once you get a solid blue light that it is connected successfully.
  Then add the printer to print and scan window.

  Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
  Click printing & scanning, click on the plus sign at the bottom of the left pane, click the name of your printer, and then click Add.
  Test the printer now.

  Add another printer driver, then check any change.

  Follow the steps below to add an alternative driver:

  1. From the control panel go into printers, right click on the existing Deskjet 2540 icon and select Properties.
  2. Open the ports tab, and take note of the track selected for your printer, then click on the X to close this window.
  3. Click the Add Printer button in the top menu, and then select Add a local printer.
  4. The use of an existing port drop-down select the same port used by your printer (because it is on in step 2), and then click Next.
  5. Select HP in the manufacturer list, and then select the HP Deskjet 5550 printers list and click Next.
  6. Follow the next screen by clicking on next, click Finish to complete the add a Printer Wizard.
  7. Now try printing using the added 5550 Deskjet, by selecting the A5 paper size.

  I installed my 2540 all-in-one just fine except for the Web print service. I tried the code of print request but in vain. The test page that he print not include it.
  I logged on the built-in Web server, but there is no Web Services option on the network tab.

• HP2540 wireless issues

  I hope someone can help...  I am running a mac with os x version10.9.4 book air and did not miseriably to connect my HP 2540.

  I ride through the whole via a USB connection and departure can I communicate with the printer and access the printer web page. After about two hours, the wireless connection is lost, even if the blue wireless is solid, just like direct light wireless. I tried several times to add the printer in system preferences again but cannot. If I repeat the whole upward again the same problem occurs

  Anyone have any ideas?

  OK, so your router is 192.168.2.0 (ou.1.

  What is the IP address of the printer you are trying to set?  It must be 192.168.2.2 through 192.168.2.9.  Make sure that you do not configure a DHCP reservation.

• New portable printer HP2540/301 Acer Aspire 1 has no disk drive and a silly user. Help, please...

  I bought myself a nice 5240 again 301 printer all-in-on Wednesday.

  Since then, I have made that fight with him since then.

• HP Deskjet HP 2540: scan to jpeg or e-mail file is broken down into blocks on hp2540

  as above, I have an all in one printer scanner Deskjet 2540, 81-32-bit windows-based, using the chrome browser.

  I've never printed successly JPEG at the request of file or email.

  Whenever I try to use it, it transfer itself on my pc in the form of small blocks lying each containing a few letters of the page that has been scanned, it distributes itself a new scan for each block number, IE when I click to see, a single block presents itself with a few letters in in.

  It does not have the pdf or tif, so I oviously use that!

  I've tried the settings for each attempt of all sizes to scan, complete scan down, as well as point resolution and file tye...

  It seems unnecessary given jpeg there.

  Now the question arises, what is my fault or the fault of machines, or is it just a matter of hitting a few buttons? It is still under warranty as well!
