HP5780 All in One: memory

How can I clear the mwmory in my unit, so I can dispose safely?

Hey @Huzie,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are looking to erase the memory of your Officejet J5780 printer. This printer, like most of the patterns of consumption, has no permanent internal memory and should not be able to store all the information outside the parameters of the printer. Accordingly, there is no way to erase the memory of the device.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

Recently I bought HP laptop, now time, I want to upgrade my all-in-one hp desktop omni 200-5316 d up to 8 GB of RAM.

    Currently RAM pc3-10600 1333 mhz 4 gb (2 X 2 GB) outside the EEC.

Should I buy exactly the specification stated or can I switch to 1600 mhz pc3-10600 2 X 4 GB RAM not CEE.

    Thank you

    Hello:

Installation memory PC3-1600 does not accelerate memory, being the fastest, it can be run to 1066 MHz.

Even the 1333 MHz memory only runs at 1066 MHz, which is the highest speed of the processor.

I can tell you that memory installation in any PC HP that has a series 5 including your Intel chipset (and uses the memory of the laptop) is very difficult to upgrade.

I suggest that you read this post and one that I've referenced in this post to make sure that you get good memory or it won't work.

  • Upgrade memory for HP Pavilion 23 - g040xt CTO all-in-One desktop

    When I ordered my

HP Pavilion 23-g040xt CTO of all-in-One desktop PC I could only afford the version of 4 GB of Ram. Now, I want to upgrade the memory up to 16 GB. I have a few questions

    1. I noticed all this in a use SODIMM and I was wondering if I could buy any DDR3 SODIMM for this or if I have to buy a specific manufacturer?

    2. now, I have only 4 GB using 1 of the 2 memory slots. I'll be able to buy 2X8GB and use this location empty on my motherboard and run dual channel?

    3. How do the memory locations? Just pop the back of all in one PC?

    Thank you

According to the specification, this model supports up to 16 GB (2 x 8 GB), as follows:

    Dual channel memory architecture
Two DDR3 SODIMM Sockets (204 PIN)
    Supports the PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600)
    Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB DDR3 SODIMM

Any brand or model of RAM memory that meets the following specifications should work on your computer. If you have 4 GB in a housing, you will need to remove it to install both 8 GB DIMMs. Yes, you just need to pop on the back.

There should be two or more screws on the back that need to be turned counterclockwise until you hear each "click" of 5-6 times. Then, take a lower corner and lift the corner. Repeat with the other bottom corner. Now, lift the... starting back down. You may also need to remove a cap on the memory locations to access.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Multi-card reader don't like to give back the cards Memory Stick Duo Pro 23 Pavilion all-in-one

I want to just make sure I don't do something wrong.

When I plug it into a SD card seats when inserted about 2/3 of the way into the slot and I can easily put my fingers on it to remove it when it's time to take it out.  When I plug the Memory Stick Duo Pro that is not recognized until it is at least inserted 9/10 and I can push completely rinse with a case and am not sure that it has bottomed out or not.  It works fine, but now it is not removable without the use of pliers tweezers.

Is this normal behavior and waited for the mult card reader integrated into 23 all-in-one Pavilion?

I have a more than adequate solution.  I plugged in the little USB card reader that accepts MS Pro Duo in their own homes. This post is therefore more closely to ensure that I'm not missing something obvious.

My guess is that the drive or the motherboard was designed for the case to be a little closer it is.

  • HP all-in - One 200-5120UK: memory upgrade

    Hello

Try to upgarde to 2 2 GB standard memory in this machine to 2 of 4 GB.

Diagnostics of HP hardware of the machine gives installed memory (1333 MHz) DDR3-SDRAM.

    Bought Kingston memory kit reference number KVR13S9S8K2/8, the standard DDR3 1333 MHz Non - ECC CL9, 1R, X 8, 1.5 v, Unbuffered, SODIMM, i.e. 2 per 4 GB.

    Machine does not start.

Switch on the series of beeps constantly repeated, hard drive does not turn, screen does not show.

Replace the original, all memory is OK.

Any thoughts, other than the memory of DOA, which seems unlikely?

Any manipulation of the pieces made with anti-static mast band and wrist in use.

    Thank you.

According to their site memory Configurator, Kingston manufactures modules memory compatible with your desktop from HP 200 - 5120UK.

Since you're in England there are other options. Return the module that you purchased and use a web search, as I did to find the modules that are guaranteed compatible with your desktop computer.

    http://www.mrmemory.co.UK/memory-RAM-upgrades/HP/all-in-one/200-5120uk

Replace the modules by pairs of identical modules. Replacement of simple modules to add to an already installed module results fair on the no start screnarion you met.

That the manufacturers and sellers to try to determine compatibility. In this way, that it involves not spending your ownfunds to find a module that works. Suppliers and manufacturers have their reputation on the line when they guarantee a memory they sell will work as expected.

I have a Photosmart Premium C309 all-in-One, which must be recycled or donated.  It seems to be broken because the transport will not return and the error message says there is a paper jam but it is there in no paper in the printer.

Before you get rid of it, I want to ensure that all memory is cleared of all components.  How can I do this and is it possible if it does not work properly?

HP inkjet printers have no drives in them until you get something like an Officejet Pro machine series X.

Printers without hard disks don't keep documents in memory once the power is turned off, the only exception being that sometimes a fax remains a document in memory until they are printed once they are printed, they are gone.

I took a quick look at a picture of your model and have worked on similar models, none of them had hard drives installed.

So basically, is it safe to launch it won't be anything stored on it.

  • All-in-one HP OfficeJet Pro L7680: it has an internal memory?

Same question as the last message for a printer differnet model (sorry for what may seem like a question in double - I'm trying just to be sure that I don't cause me a headache later).

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 all-in-One (FAX, Scan, Print, Photo) I would like to get rid of him.  Before disposing of it, and for reasons of security, I would like to know if there is an internal hard drive that could potentially be storing all I can have copied, scanned or faxed.

Hello sixmil5and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have concerns about the internal memory of the printers.  Memory is automatically reset when the printer is disconnected, so you have no problem with personal information being recorded.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums and please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a HP18 is about 3-4 months and recently, when I go to shut down the computer, I get a popup screen that says:

"The instruction at 0xa848a02f referenced memory at 0x784ca548.  The memory could not be read.  Click OK to finish. »

Can someone help me?  What it means?  How can I stop showing it when I go to the stop?  I look forward to a serious response.  Thanks in advance.

    Hello @propaplace,

I read your post on how your all-in-One computer indicates that he met a referenced memory error message, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To fix this, I advise you to follow the steps described in this document on the using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 8). This should contribute to prevent background programs from interfering with the memory on your system or the services. I also suggest updating the drivers on your computer by following the steps described in this resource using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8).

If the error message always indicates a memory problem, I recommend you to return your system to a previous restore point before the problem occurred. This can be done by following the steps described in this document on using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

If the problem persists, I suggest to perform a backup and restore of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps described in this resource on the backup of files (Windows 8), and more to perform a recovery of the HP (Windows 8) system. This should return your system to the factory settings.

If the problem persists, please contact our technical support for further assistance in this matter by clicking on the link below to get help from your region number.
