  I'm still a little worried about 'Invalid printer' entries in my system network and feel that if I could get rid of them, I could make progress.   Power remove power at the back of the printer cable. Wait about 1-2 minutes before plugging it back in. Let me know if that solves the problem you are experiencing.

  Perseverance pays!  After update some programs, etc... I'm now able to print!  I didn't know how to do this "resolved", so I'm posting it here.
