  Hi, so I recently got a new "XFX Radeon R9 285" graphic card PCI - E 3.0 and installed in my PC, I went to start it and the screen does not light.   Since you had the card running in another computer, you must have connected the two power connectors 6 pins.

  If it were me, I would XFX Service contact customer (800-880-3225) to see what they have to say about your problem.  It may be a BIOS problem.  They need the specifications of your computer.

  end of 2014, I bought a new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro mid 2014 model (A1502, EMC2875). A few months later, the graphics card has failed - no obvious reason. Apple replaced. Still, the mac worked perfectly well (no overheating of the noise, nothing) and all of a sudden - no understandable reason or external actions, the graphics card has failed.   a 4870 with 1 GB of VRAM is not a real Mac card (who had only 512 MB of VRAM). Unlikely to show an image until the login screen, if ever. Unless the seller has a 100% guaranteed working procedure to get this working, I recommend you return for a refund - it is not likely to work in your Mac.

  A true 5770 Mac or 5870 is the best approach for a 2006 or 2007 Mac Pro, because they are known to work with everything except movies under copyright, and your Mac is stuck in the 32-bit kernel and pre - 10.7.5 MacOS.

  The drivers of Toshiba laptops are a bit different and not the same thing as the drivers from the manufacturer of the graphics card.
