I have a Pavilion dv6-1050us, and before the update of the bios as recommended by HP my charger would show in the taskbar as well as the battery is charging and it has been plugged in as well as the led at the front left side of the laptop.  Since the update of the bios load icon in the taskbar does not display and the led light that recharges the battery watch is no longer turns upward.  I know it's power goes to the battery because the battery shows 100% remaining and unload only after I unplug the power.  Is there a way to restore the bios to the previous version, even if the bios has been flashed by the HP program uses?

  • Pavilion 15-P001TX: battery will not charge!

    Hello
I bought my HP Pavilion 15-p001tx of the Amazon at the beginning of the month. It was a good deal and I had fun playing Call of duty black ops. Then a notification came to show that I should plug the charger. But when I plugged in the charger, another notification came telling me to plug a smart adapter for best perfomance. Now, the system tray showed me that the laptop is plugged in but not charging!
What the hell! I looked for answers and someone suggested to uninstall power microsoft acpi compliant control and restart the laptop. I did as I said, but with no use! Now, when I plug the laptop (it does) a small orange LED lights up but when I turn on my laptop, it suddenly turns off suddenly.
I'm so frustrated! Can someone help me!

  • HP Pavilion 17 Laptop: battery connected, not charging AND battery unaccessable

In recent months, at one point, my battery would indicate nn % (plugged in, does not support) and maintain this accusation so much it was plugged. Running on the battery, the charge would eventually diminish and in order to get the battery charge again, I went through the process of uninstalling the compatible battery control method ACPI in Device Manager. Usually within 24 hours, choses things would be back to plugged in, does not support. However, that is no longer to fix the problem. (When it was a question the indicator next to the place where the power adapter is plugged blue flash. Also, I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 a few weeks ago, but this question was held for a few months now).

Now the battery is 2% (plugged in, does not support) and when I use the HP Support Assistant to check the battery, I get the message "control of battery HP could not access the battery. I did a hard reset, reset the BIOS and updated the BIOS, to anything will do. If I unplug the adapter, the computer turns off.

Suggestions of additional corrections? I saw a further suggestion to perform a system recovery but I did not yet a recovery disk to win 10 (I don't have one for victory 8.1), and it would make a difference anyway since no plugged in, charging problem took place under win 8.1?

    Hi @shmay7,

From the information provided, I think it's a problem with the connection between the laptop and the battery. It might be something wrong with the point of contact between the battery and the portable or to the battery circuit. It is better to have another battery, so you can try it with the laptop. The creation of recovery media should not be affected by the problem of power with the battery is not installed.

  • HP Pavilion f040nd 17: replacement of battery HP Pavilion Notebook PC

    Hello

Since a few weeks ago, I noticed that my laptop battery capacity has been significantly lower than in the past. Without recharging, takes laptop, for about 1 hour, while it used be about 3 hours. I was thinking about to buy a new battery in case my current suddenly no longer be used.

I searched for a couple of batteries for laptop computer on the internet to find that they were all similar to mine not or have different abilities. At the moment I don't know what to buy, I don't plan on replacing my laptop at least a year, and I'm afraid that the battery won't last that long.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion 17-f040nd and use the battery that came through the sending. Both the battery and the laptop are 2 years and have served almost every day. The battery has a voltage of 14, 8V and a capacity of 2700 card. It would be nice if someone could tell which battery should I buy to replace my current.

    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion Notebook PC g7 - The Audio Service is not running

I don't have sound on my PC for a few weeks, but when I use a headset it is solid. Today, I saw a message saying that the Audio Service is not running. What is going on?

    HP Pavilion Notebook PC g7

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55026.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

Once this done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion Notebook-13-b203tu: best practices for the notebook support

    GDay,

I just bought the new pavilion notebook and read it work on the user manual: "the computer does not use the battery when the computer is connected to an external electrical outlet with a certified power adapter or a device of mooring/extension option." (hapter 6 p36)

I would have my battery for laptop in good health and live longer than possible, my quest is that I have to unplug the AC adapter when the battery indicator displays 100% when charging using the laptop? or just leave the AC adapter plugged in, as it is stated on the manual.

    Thaks a lot.

    Hello

All smart batteries and chargers are smarter than we thought. When disconnecting the power supply, use the battery and at the end of the day battery needs charge cycles more.

My comments (I mentioned several times on this forum): leaving batteries and machines 24/24 on the AC at the end of two years, their batteries are much better than the ones pluged/disconnected every day.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p119: HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p119 do not close completely

    Hello.

I checked the forum for this question, but the questions that other users have slightly vary from my problem.

My laptop: HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p119

I recently installed an official Windows 10 OS on the laptop (64 bit). It was fully installed from scratch.

Everything seems to work fine except for a very annoying problem: whenever I say the laptop shut down it proceeds to stop never totally as normal until the screen is blank (as is normal), the light on the power button turns on and the machine stops. It remains in this state until the battery sinks and dies. The only way to shut down the computer at this stage is to press the power button until it is difficult to stop. When you start the computer again, all right, and there is no bad effects of the hard stop down.

When he is in the State where the screen went blank and the indicator light remains on, it is not not clear if Windows is running or if Windows has closed, but the computer itself is still ongoing.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p204: UPDATE of HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT HP BIOS update for Intel processor (F43) - SHOWING AGAIN

    Hello

I am new to the community of HP.

I'm having a problem. Well, I can't really say it is a MAJOR problem because there is no threat to the system or anything, it's just one of those little annoying things.

Yesterday, I updated my BIOS F.43 after being invited by HP support assistant. Update succeeded, charged back up the laptop, and the watch update STILL not installed on the HP support assistant. I reinstalled it and it still shows the same thing.

It's just a bug and it is really installed and the wizard of support has not been updated?

    Thank you

    Hi @GarethWilliamss,

Thanks for posting in the Forums of HP and welcome.

I read on the HP Support Assistant and prompt you to download on your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - p204. As you can imagine this is a glitch. Ignore the update.

    I hope this helps.

All of a sudden, I started getting a message on Start Up of the HP battery alert. The message tells me that the battery level is extremely low and that I might have to replace it. There is a web address available to learn more - www2.hp.com/techcenter/startup/ (which address brought me to this forum)

Controller battery charge at the far right of the status bar, tells me that there is no charge in the battery so that I can't use it without the power cord. He also tells me it does not load even if the power cord is connected.

The laptop is 30 months old. Can someone tell me if there is something to try before I go buy a new battery?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

No. 30 months is worth about 65 battery years... not really old, but in the end of the life sector.  You could enter the program Support Center and look for advanced battery information and look to see how many cycles there. More than 350 is a good life. Weird, but it's time to get a new battery just.
