HTML5

How to know if someone travels page is HTML5?

For example, if I am browsing Web php page then I right click on the page and "View Page Info", I get this:
Type: "application/xhtml + xml".

I tried on HTML5 Web page, but I got the following:
Type: ' text/html '.

If the page is HTML5, then you should see this DOCTYPE in the Source of the Page: <! DOCTYPE html >

  • Stop AutoPlay HTML5 in Safari?

With the upgrade of El Capitan in Sierra, ClicktoPlugin is much broken. So now videos on sites like YouTube, CNN and others are all auto-jouant again.

I read that Sierra has a function to prevent this - it is go to the preferences of Safari:

Go to the Security tab and allow for Plug-ins Internet Plug-ins need to be checked, then click on the plugin settings button.

Then choose QuickTime, ask value 'during the visit of other websites'. HTML5 should then STOP auto playing video.

The problem is that it does not, because it is not just any QuickTime plugin listed.

So nobody knows how to stop the HTML5 in Safari 10, under the Sierra?

    Hmm.  QuickTime?

  • Twitch.TV HTML5 player causing the video driver crash

Current video card is Radeon HD7800. This problem only appears when using Firefox to watch videos on the site of twitch.tv using the new HTML5 player. At the beginning all right, but there is gradual corruption of the firefox window. Text disappears, corrupt graphics and finally the leak of graphics corruption on windows or Aero, office causing a crash video driver and the restoration. This only happens with the jerk HTML5 player. All other sites work fine. The player also works very well in other browsers. IE9 and chrome have been tested. Firefox is the most recent version, and so are the video drivers.

I've had previous issues with suffers from a strange, unexplained, graphical corruption that have been patched out in new versions of firefox. It is the first instance when Firefox caused a crash of the complete video driver.

  • Firefox will not play video html5 on Amazon Prime.

I had the first amazon. I'm going to play a video. It asks me to install Flash despite the fact Firefox support encrypted html5 video.

    If it's supposed to happen?

The site asking me to activate Silverlight.

No idea why Amazon's HTML5 player does not support Firefox, but cela seems to be the case at the moment according to this article:

    http://www.Amazon.com/GP/AW/help/ID=201422810

The HTML5 player is available on the following browsers:

    • Chrome (M42 version or newer)
    • Internet Explorer (version 11 or newer)
    • Microsoft on Windows 10 edge
    • Opera (version 31 or more recent)
  • Point video freezing HTML5 player but audio is fine

I'm using the latest stable version of Firefox, but it seems every time I play a video YouTube every few seconds the video will freeze and sometimes the icon of buffering, but audio continues on the property. I use the HTML5 player and he doesn't do this using all other browsers. I tried to turn on/off hardware acceleration, but the problem persists despite everything.

I did a reset of Firefox and plugins disabled who were not useful, and the problem seems to have disappeared, so it was a bad plug or a corrupt installation, I guess that.

Is there a Safari Extension or a hidden setting I'm not about to stop video AutoPlay altogether?

There is a preference setting or an available extension.

  • Firefox will not play many videos, sounds and other Html5 applications but Youtube is fine.

No matter what are the options I change (I tried everything under subject: config), videos html5 play not (format not supported, etc wrong mime type.). On youtube, html5 player works fine.

    Examples of videos does not:

flow using the html5 and formats like gif player also like gifv to imgur.

My OS can all play, I installed Windows Media Player.

All my preferences in topic amovible.*: config have a default value, and I tried to change things - without success.

I also disabled all addons/plugins, tried another profile, tried the developer version of 64-bit. I had the same problem on my old computer (I did a clean install on a totally new computer and imported via MozBackUp settings). Firefox Safe mode will not help either.

http://detectmybrowser.com/ tells me that I can play ogg but not h264 or webm. https://www.YouTube.com/HTML5 told me that my firefox support everything that youtube needs.

Once again, on Youtube, everything works (right click on the clip not gives me the possibility "about the HTML5 player"), elsewhere (for as far as I saw) I get "not taken in charge or false mime type error format.

I use Firefox on Windows 10, but also known 40 the problem under Windows 7 and Firefox 3 x

In addition, my plugin-container crashes whenever I close Firefox, I tried to clear the cache/history/cookies. No idea if this is related to the question of the html5.

So, any ideas I can try to do html5 video finally work? It is very solutions use another browser every time for anything associated with Html5.

    Holy f * ing sh * t!

In fact, I managed to solve the problem!

All I had to do was to start Firefox using administrator rights. So simple, yet I didn't on this subject! Why have I never tried this before? I managed to solve a lot of problems like this but never thought about Firefox could also be linked to it.

In any case, thanks to all who responded, as well as all those who had to read all my rants in this thread!

Solution: Launch your Firefox with administrator rights

  • Nightly HTML5 is compatible? And if not, can watch us forward to a compatible version in the future?

With a few videos, I get a warning that I need a HTML5 compatible browser - and I can just not look with 43.0a1 every night

    Every night,RudyvanM said

    43.0A1 every night

Every night is one of the four main channels of Firefox development.

Release of < beta < Aurora (developer edition) < every night

The versions start developing on channel every night and move/merge to channel following as a version is available. On channel every night can be more than a work in progress.

Every night and Aurora gets updates almost every day because of check-ins each of these days. Every night is for more testers and developers vs browser every day.

Its plausible that something related html5 does not work in your version of Nightly or website does not recognize Firefox 43.0a1 and may be looking for say 40,0 Release.

  • After Firefox, update to 40.0, Youtube started using HTML5?

I want video quality options, I want to go back to flash player. How to restore to flash? If possible without addon?

PS: There is no button on youtube.com/html5 to choose between flash and html5

OK, if it cannot be solved with the html5 player, then maybe an addon like the following will help you: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/youtube-flash-video-player/

  • Only "h.264" and "MSE and h.264" are disabled in the html5 player support youtube video.

I spotted this problem just after I installed Windows 10 and still have not been able to understand why. I did some research on google, but none of them was the case for firefox 39 (and 40.0 because I've just updated!) and Windows 10.

What I think is that Firefox has an open H.264 codec built-in so I have need additional facilities or tweaks to enable h.264 support during the recent generation. However, even though I clearly see the codec installed in the plugin list, it seems that something is missing in my Firefox accroding to the support page.

I already tried to clean reinstall it and even checked on the mode safe but had no luck so far. I wish I could get help or advice. Thanks in advance!

In fact... Firefox needs the Windows Media Foundation to decode H.264.

First of all, let's see if there is a problem with YouTube only: you can play H.264 video on this test page: http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html

If this does not work on any site, you may have a version N or KN of Windows that does not have the Media Feature Pack bundled in? Please visit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231

  • How to get HTML5 working for firefox videos?

So, recently, I built a PC. I installed firefox and can't seem to get HTML 5 video work. I activated webm in the config to get at least the HD on youtube but without that I would be stuck in that loading only in 360 p. When I go to the youtube HTML5 test page it has no notches for H.264 and MSE & H.264. Not sure what the problem is. Firefox not HTML 5 fine on my old laptop. I moved my my old firefox profile to my new firefox so that I would keep all my preferences and so on. Also, I'm on Widnows 8.1 N if that all makes a difference.

I think with the edition of 'n', you will need to download the Feature Pack Media:

  • HTML5 custom homescreen icon + Mobile Web App

I've been HTML5 game development learning and have a question about Firefox for Android: how to get a custom icon for a bookmark added to the home screen? It seems that Firefox uses either a favicon, or a default star.

On iOS Safari, I was able to achieve using < link rel = "apple-touch-icon" href = "image.png" / >, and the feature seems to be reported on Google Chrome. "

I tried to use this code for a favicon customized to a specific page: < link rel = "shortcut icon" type = "image/x-icon" href = "favicon.ico" / >, but it works only when I view the file directly on the computer. " When you access the page through Apache, there is no favicon.

My other question is about the functionality of the Mobile Web application. In Safari and Google Chrome for Android, iOS, adding "apple-mobile-web-app-compatible" or "mobile-web-app-compatible" allows executed as a web application Web page full screen when recording to the home screen. Firefox opens just like a normal bookmark.

Any help is appreciated. I'm learning from the "Development of HTML5 game for Dummies" book

Since no one has answered my question, I did some more research. If I insert this code:

    "< link rel ="icon"href="/path/to/some.png "/ >

The bookmark has the specified icon. However, the result is disappointing, because the Firefox bookmark icon appears very low quality and blurry next to the Chrome bookmark icon.

  • Consider adding a touch of repetition of native HTML5 player

The add-on Firefox media loop is described as a "loop audio/video control [HTML5] Menu item" - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/media-loop/. Media loop can be used to repeat HTML5 videos on any website, not just YouTube.

Can you to implement HTML5 video media across loop! and a repeat button that uses it in the control. Refer to the red icon background repeat marked located to the right of the screenshot above set to update the?

Video HTML5 everywhere uses the native Firefox HTML5 player control bar, however, it has a function of repetition, but it must be active or by the context menu of the preferences in the Add-ons.

Post your ideas in the link I gave you. Many of these people know that
Mozilla is planing for the future and you can tell what is happening.

  • KeyPress HTML5 player

My question is quite simple, is it possible to change how ignore you video when you press the left arrow or right key in mozilla html5 player. At the moment it ignores 15 seconds instead of 5 sec standard as in all players. What I found is a video function while using Inspector called keypress of chrome://global...videocontrols.xml:1237 but I can't change it.

I did exactly as said @jscher2000, I just wrote an easy extension that overrided the file with my modified file that had a value changed from time jump. I used this guide:
    https://developer.Mozilla.org/en-us/docs/Building_an_Extension

you type "chrome://global/content/bindings/videocontrols.xml" into the address bar and you save it to get an xml file, and then you open it with Notepad, search for "oldval - 15"and "oldval + 15"and change it to anything you want, put it in the right folder (where sample.xul is in the guide)

    content of chrome.manifest:
    "
    content sample chrome/content /.
    Override chrome://global/content/bindings/videocontrols.xml chrome://sample/content/videocontrols.xml
    "

I think it's the easiest way, I intend to try to set this setting to: config but it works fine now so I don't bother.

  • HTML5 vs Flash player youtube volume levels

I find myself having to manage my OS (win 7) levels of volume constantly with the new video player default html5 when moving between programs (foobar, vlc, youtube, etc.). Youtube HTML5 videos are now really quiet. In the past, I was able to configure my os volume really low master because flash become saturated and move seamlessly audio, production of programs. For example I have attached two sample screenshots, volume counters, one html5 on the other with the playback of the flash. Those that have been taken at the same time and the video. Is there something that can be done? Is this a firefox bug (37.0.2)? I tried this in chrome and it did not have this problem. Any help would be appreciated
