Point video freezing HTML5 player but audio is fine
I'm using the latest stable version of Firefox, but it seems every time I play a video YouTube every few seconds the video will freeze and sometimes the icon of buffering, but audio continues on the property. I use the HTML5 player and he doesn't do this using all other browsers. I tried to turn on/off hardware acceleration, but the problem persists despite everything.
I did a reset of Firefox and plugins disabled who were not useful, and the problem seems to have disappeared, so it was a bad plug or a corrupt installation, I guess that.

All my preferences in topic amovible.*: config have a default value, and I tried to change things - without success.
I also disabled all addons/plugins, tried another profile, tried the developer version of 64-bit. I had the same problem on my old computer (I did a clean install on a totally new computer and imported via MozBackUp settings). Firefox Safe mode will not help either.
http://detectmybrowser.com/ tells me that I can play ogg but not h264 or webm. https://www.YouTube.com/HTML5 told me that my firefox support everything that youtube needs.
Once again, on Youtube, everything works (right click on the clip not gives me the possibility "about the HTML5 player"), elsewhere (for as far as I saw) I get "not taken in charge or false mime type error format.

In addition, my plugin-container crashes whenever I close Firefox, I tried to clear the cache/history/cookies. No idea if this is related to the question of the html5.
So, any ideas I can try to do html5 video finally work? It is very solutions use another browser every time for anything associated with Html5.
Holy f * ing sh * t!
In fact, I managed to solve the problem!
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=9N0OHdRFcJAAll I had to do was to start Firefox using administrator rights. So simple, yet I didn't on this subject! Why have I never tried this before? I managed to solve a lot of problems like this but never thought about Firefox could also be linked to it.
In any case, thanks to all who responded, as well as all those who had to read all my rants in this thread!

whenever I find a YouTube video on my linux (Centos 5.8, completely up to date) using Firefox12 machine, YouTube still offers for me html5 instead of Flash video. It would be nice, but intermittently the video stops (while the audio continues to play). I click on the (I don't know how it's called) cursor to the current position and the video will move again. until he paused next time, anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
I don't know why he delivers html5 instead of flash, I get on my laptop using centos 6 and firefox12 flash video. Is there a way to configure Firefox to get flash instead? Audio import is not with video related two files, but other work fine
I registered a game using open source software of broadcaster and trying to change it for download on YouTube, but the audio of this game in particular will not import the video. I can see the raw images in a media player and hear the sound, but when I try and import it into Premiere Pro CC 2015, the audio isn't there. If I import an another games record, it works very well, has the audio and is good for editing and be downloaded. The game, with what I have problems is to evolve step 2 Beta.
Hi DMartinGaming,
You could try renaming the folder of media files, clear the cache of media and re-import. Not better?
Let me know,

Video Flash isn't playing, audio is fine
Flash video does not play on my site, but I can hear the audio perfectly well. Video player interface is not visible either - blank space instead.
I use Windows 7, Firefox 42.0 (also tried 43.0), Adobe Flash 20.0.0.235. I have seen a few similar questions here and here is what I tried:
-restart and reinstall the browser;
-deletion of cookies;
-in safe mode;
-Disabling hardware acceleration.
Nothing helps. Is there anything else that can help?
OK, after digging more deeply into my problem and tested in different environments, I realized that this isn't flash or firefox problem. The video player was inside a modal bootstrap and it - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23709700/embed-tag-inside-bootstrap-modal-not-visible-in-firefox - helped me.

Windows media player gets stuck in video but audio continues
The video freezes randomly and sometimes the program stops responding for a few seconds. For some reason any audio works fine however. I've had these files on my computer for awhile now and they never have it so far.
Hi Shelby Reyes,
Welcome to the Microsoft community. I understand that windows media player gets stuck in video but audio continues very well. I'll help you with this problem.
1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
2. have you made changes on the computer recently?
3. what security software is installed on the computer?
4. how much free space is available on the hard disk?
Method 1.
Try to use the Troubleshoot utility to see if that solves the problem.
a. open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.
(b) in the search box, type "Troubleshooting" and then click Troubleshooting.
c. click on show alland then click the Windows Media Player settings.
Method 2.
A clean boot to test if any element of service or third party application startup is causing this issue.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Once you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 3 in the article to start on normal startup.
Method 3.
You can update the video card driver and check.
Update drivers: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Update-drivers-recommended-links
Method 4.
I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if that helps. The SFC/SCANNOW command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
For more information how to make SFC / scan, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
I hope this helps.

WndOws Media Player plays audio but no video
Windows media player
When itry to play jeuvideode file with media player, it will play audio but not the vidio but it will play the video in minimized mode, but if I try to optimize it disappears just off the coast of the screen of the monitor in the corner at the top right of the screen
Hi John,.
· Since when are you facing this problem?
· You did changes to the player before the show?
· This happens with any specific video?
Step 1: Try reducing video hardware acceleration in Windows Media Player.
a. in Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.
b. on the performance , under video Accelerationtab, move the slider more close votes to zero, and then click OK.
If this allows you to play videos very well, this indicates that there is a problem with your graphics card or driver.
Step 2: You can get an updated driver from the manufacturer of the display adapter.

Twitch.TV HTML5 player causing the video driver crash
Current video card is Radeon HD7800. This problem only appears when using Firefox to watch videos on the site of twitch.tv using the new HTML5 player. At the beginning all right, but there is gradual corruption of the firefox window. Text disappears, corrupt graphics and finally the leak of graphics corruption on windows or Aero, office causing a crash video driver and the restoration. This only happens with the jerk HTML5 player. All other sites work fine. The player also works very well in other browsers. IE9 and chrome have been tested. Firefox is the most recent version, and so are the video drivers.
I've had previous issues with suffers from a strange, unexplained, graphical corruption that have been patched out in new versions of firefox. It is the first instance when Firefox caused a crash of the complete video driver.
I get a Flash player on the half dozen I checked. How do you switch HTML5?

Windows Media Player play about half of the clip, then the picture cuts off, the screen goes black, but audio continues to play. Just reinstalled MP 11, same problem.
Hello
· What is the number and the model of the computer?
· This occurs when you are working on any specific file format?
· Were there any changes made on the computer?
· You play the file in mode full screen?
Change hardware acceleration
a. you can try to change the hardware acceleration in the middle and check (you can try another level too.)
b. right-click on a space empty on the desktop.
c. go to the resolution of the screen.
d. click Advanced settings, and then click the "troubleshooting."
e. set hardware acceleration in the middle. (Here you'll get the only option your video card sound support).
You can also check: you receive an error message of codec or audio plays video but does not play when you play media files in Windows Media Player 11: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926373
