Hyperion cloning of a test/prod dev

Hi all

I heard that in obiee, we have a cloning tool to clone a whole plant of obiee from one environment to another (dev, test/Prod). After just cloning to change connections, the names of server etc.

Is there any tool or process is for Hyperion to do. or if someone tried to please let me know the process.

Thank you

  • Some AD users unable to sign in Essbase Prod Dev EAS.

    Hi all

    I had strange problems since 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.2.3,

    A sign of cannont AD users in Essbase Prod Dev EAS. And this behavior is with only a few users, not all. They get a message of credentials bad connection, although they are able to connect with the same credentials on the EAS Prod. Any suggestions on what can be verified? I increased the logging level in logging.xml, included agentmessagelevel to debug in essbase.cfg, looked at the newspapers sharedservices_security and customer and tried but the error does not give more details invalid identification, I connected with Oracle, but they have not responded to me in a week. Thank you for your help in advance.

    This is the error

    Error: 103: unexpected error Essbase 1051293

    Error: 1051293: connection fails due to invalid login credentials

    Thank you

    Ted.

    Thanks for all the answers, this has been resolved. More of a workaround, for some reason any everything connecting to essbase dev to prod EAS 'some' users should include the name of the directory as well. For example: where previously they used the user123 id to connect, now, they had to provide user123@Active. or User123@Hyperion

    Click the report icon, on the left pane, you will see Download button, it will download the zip, you can download their prod in same way.

  • Configuration of test and Dev choose between servers

    Need to create 2 configurations of node Test and Dev using 3 servers

    Server A - 8 GB of ram, hd 146GBx2, 4 core 1.2 GHz process.
    Server B - same as above
    Server C - 8 GB of Ram, hd 146GBx16, corex1.2 dual 4 GHz process

    I thought it was to make the server A and Server B as the level Apps and Server C to accommodate the DB layer for a server and Server B

    Server A - accomodation Test App layer
    Server B - accommodation Dev App Tier
    Server C - accommodation DB level for test AND DB layer for Dev

    There are other combinations are also possible. Let me know if you feel that some other permutation can be useful and why?

    Sunil,

    Since you have limited space on server A and Server B, I think the above should be the best configuration. If the size of your database is small or if you manage to add more space for Server A and Server B, then I would say you have the TEST instance on server A, C and the DEV instance on server B, C, as follows:

    -Test instance: Application on the server C and database on a server

    -Instance DEV: Application on the database on server B and Server C

    (1) deadline all Oracle EBS Application user accounts.
    (2) change the passwords on all the user accounts on request.
    (3) change e-mail addresses on all the user accounts on request.

    Instead of going to each user request account, I would like to know how we can make the collective update. Thanks in advance!

    Use the FND_USER_PKG API.

  • Import the Test Prod without data

    Oracle 11g

    I have an empty test database. I want to extract the metadata only, not data from production to test. But I also need db links, roles, grants and the sys privs. I don't want the system or sysaux tablespaces - as I already have this test.

    Here's what I have for the export of th but I get the error:

    ORA-39001: invalid argument value

    ORA-39071: value for INCLUDE is ill-formed.

    ORA-00936: lack of expression

    expdp system/dummy@prod_link content=metadata_only full=y directory=DATA_PUMP_DIR dumpfile=prod.dmp logfile=prod.log INCLUDE=SCHEMA:"IN ('APP1', 'IMR','IMR2','IMR_QUAL','ZIPMAN')",ROLE,USER,SYSTEM_GRANT,ROLE_GRANT,DEFAULT_ROLE,TABLESPACE_QUOTA

    Obviously, I have a syntax error. But is this the correct way to do this?

    Hello

    A few pieces of advice here:

    1. If you want to specify a lot of stuff on the command line (especially if she quotes etc.) - it is much easier to the user a settings file

    2. the command you have it will create a file in a directory on the server instead of directly in your testdb

    I think that your order should look like this (usr/pass is the connection to the testdb, network link is the link to the db inside the testdb pointing to the prod)

    expdp user/pass network_link = prod_link content = metadata_only

    And that's close enough, you might want to add exclude = tablespace will be probably wrong anyway if you have created gaps

    See you soon,.

  • Login in two prod & dev application complete?

    Hi, is it possible to use two instances of VSM full application simultaneously (as dev and prod environment)?

    I remember a long time ago, but my partner told me that it was just because our prod environment was still the old version then. Now that we have upgraded, I can't do more.

    Thank you!

    You used to be able to create a new desktop shortcut and point it "c:\windows\downloaded program files" select the wrapper infra / vsm and then add the URL of your system.

    However I was not able to use this method for a while and certainly not with v9.1.x.

    It is a very useful feature for developers to be able to use.

  • ODI work and Migration of the master repository of prod Dev

    Hi all

    We have all the maps and other information in the Dev environment. And we have a new together upwards to the ODI prod environment.

    In dev and prod, repository IDS are the same. (Work of Dev = Master = 1; Work prod = Master = 1)

    I want to export rep and master rep dev work and import it in the Prod.

    When importing Master rep I get an error message: ' ODI 26005: you import an object from another repository with the same identifier. It is forbidden. »

    Can someone help me on this

    Your master repository and the production work should be different from each other.

  • Code to move to Prod dev

    HI friends,

    In my porject development is complete. We have created 200 around jobs (30 Interfaces and 170 procedures) in ODI. Now, we must go that this jobs on Production Server.

    How to proceed, what are the basic steps for this.

    Thank you
    Lony

    Interfaces and procedures form the basis of the defined packages? If they then simply generate scripts for all your packages and then you can export your Dev repository as xml and import them into your repository Prod. This can be done manually or automated tools of ODI, see ODIExportAllScen and ODIImportScen, also ODIGenerateAllScen. If not doing not part of packages, then just write scenarios for each interface procedure and migrate between environments.

  • Should the Tomcat when the OPA with Siebel testing on dev local machine?

    Hello

    I'm seeing if I can install an environment of test-to-end on my dev machine. Basically, I want to write a few rules and trigger in Siebel on my machine before I push anything on the server. I know that the OPM has integrated Tomcat and I was wondering if I could use in a way that instead of installing a stand alone Tomcat on my PC.

    Anyone know if this is possible and what I need to configure to make it happen?

    Thank you
    CC

    Hi cc2.

    Short answer: No, tomcat is not necessary, any server or IIS for .NET, Java application will work

    Longer answer:

    Siebel and OPA communicate through Web Services and the OPA can be installed on a standard Java application server.

    The steps for Siebel and OPA working together are described in policy Oracle Automation Connector for Siebel Setup Guide, but basically, they work as follows.

    1. install the server of determinations and conclusions of Web on an application suiitable Server (any application server j2ee compatible should do).
    2. for determinations Server, make sure that you know what is the URL of the assessment exercise (tests it is strongly recommended).
    3 configure outbound web services in Siebel to appeal determinations Server.
    4 determinations of Web, to make Siebel Web Server Extensions installed and installed the OPA for Siebel connector. This creates the appropriate incoming Web services in Siebel.
    5. change the siebel-data - adapt .properties in determinations of the Web to the location of the incoming Web Services referred to in 4. (see above).

    Thank you

    Hi user;

    I have a test instance that is running in sun solaris 9. Since I have enough disk space I intend to install the screws or dev env in the same server with different ports.
    anyone tried similar installation?

    You can do this, I have already R11 and R12 and R12.1.1 on the same server. The main problem here is your server can handle all your instance on this subject, you may have a performance problem but thatsall.

    Either way, I suggest take oraInst.loc, oraInventory oratab file under/etc and and also create new user (applmgr-oramgr) of your new system

  • [FPGA] Question on the test on dev computer

    I have an FPGA vi which I want to test on my development computer with the method presented here:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371599G-01/lvfpgaconcepts/test_bench_tutorial/

    Very well so far, but a problem - the "custom FPGA of e/s" is actually replace my host VI if I understand correctly, but as well as simply to write data in the nodes of the FPGA, the host VI contains also some functions (not written by me but by NEITHER) who are called upon to interact with the FPGA vi and implemented. Is there any way I can call him these screws as I would on the host and have their place FPGA code when it running in mode of simulation on PC, or do I have to do something more intelligent?

    Hi ToeCutter,

    What kind of format are functions to your host vi?

    The best way to call these vi of while still using the testbed would probably be to add automated execution host (described at the end of the document) vi, either before, during or after the while loop, according to their functions.

  • Unit test SQL dev 4.1.3.20 missing permissions - but that

    I asked my dba for necessary roles and permissions to perform unit tests,

    Roles and permissions for these are - according to the documentation:

    CREATE THE UT_REPO_USER ROLE.

    GRANT SELECT ON DBA_TAB_PRIVS TO UT_REPO_USER;

    GRANT EXECUTE ON DBMS_LOCK TO UT_REPO_USER;

    CREATE THE UT_REPO_ADMINISTRATOR ROLE.

    GRANT UT_REPO_USER TO UT_REPO_ADMINISTRATOR;

    I checked that these roles and permissions actually exists

    GRANT TO PASSWORD RESOURCE;

    GRANT CONNECT TO PASSWORD.

    GRANT CREATE VIEW TO PASSWORD.

    SELECT GRANT WE DBA_ROLES TO MY_USER;

    GRANT SELECT ON DBA_ROLE_PRIVS TO MY_USER;

    GRANT UT_REPO_ADMINISTRATOR TO PASSWORD.

    What Miss me?

    regards Karsten

    Discovered what was missing:

    ADMINISTRATOR should grant permissions directly to the user to unit test.

    Unit test does not accept the permissions granted to the public or by a role.

    I think it is a bug and I mention as such
