  This problem is related to you not having is not a coherent framework for your type of date entry.

  So, go to the administration of the application and define the date format DD/MM/YYYY in the application settings and display options, under current default application settings. Then after doing that as a user, go to user preferences and display options and the date format, select the same. Or delete automatically detect them.

  I've seen this behavior if you detect automatically on the user's preferences

  Unfortunately, you cannot change the dimensions that make up the 'planning unit '. (Scenario, entity, & Version)

  This improvement was repeatedly requested to Hyperion. I can only imagine that the content of the planning unit is very central to functioning internal Hyperion Planning and very difficult to change.

  This limitation has forced me to bring some unwanted design changes in the past. For example, I had to combine the dimensions as entity and Department (in one dimension called entity) so that I could get the Department in the workflow. It's about the only solution to your problem. Unfortunately, it can really mess up your dimensions.

  I wish there was a better solution.

• Unable to copy link option hyperion planning in IE 11

  We are currently in Hyperion planning 11.1.2.4.003 version.

  When we open Hyperion planning application in IE 9, we are able to see the option copy the link in the tools, but when we opened the same application in IE 11 us is not able to copy the link, we are witnessing only option from the custom links.

• Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.1 Custom Types Dimensions/Plan

  I was hoping to get some expertise on an issue I have with Hyperion Planning. We are currently working on the 11.1.2.1 environment and we have 2 types of active plan implemented;

  Plan Type A - dimension of active channel (Custom)

  Plan B - channel (Custom) inactive dimension Type

  For the channel size, is it possible to transform the Plan Type B as a valid plan type in 11.1.2.1? I didn't know if it could only be configured on the creation of the application or not.

  If we activate the dimension for the type of plan, I understand this will cause a number of issues, for example to set the POV for all Web/reports/Scripts for Plan Type b Forms. We are just assessment of the impact, have previously, anyone had any experience of this?

• Cannot add the link in the custom tool

  I am not able to create a link in the Application settings-> custom tool if I have administrator rights. I already have three links there. Had no problems creating the three.
  
  But now when I try to create another link, I get is "cannot save the application settings.

• Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 - tools-> Console work (where is that stored?)

  Would like to know in Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3, under Tools-> Console work, it displays run Business Rule and end time.
  
  I would like to know where it is stored. Because of the company 2 still rules States of treatment in the Console work, but it is already over, I don't want to manually delete this job. However, in the Console of the job, the checkbox for 2 rules is gray which does not allow me to delete.

  Hi Thr,

  If the status of the job does not on 'Complete', even if the business rule ended, the system can meet a causing timeout planning is never notified that ended a particular job.

  Possible causes are:

  -Business Rules built-in timer setting must be increased
  -HTTP server timeout needs to be increased (specific to the HTTP server)
  -The timeout HTTP server plug-in settings (specific to HTTP server and web application server)

  Solution
  Change the status of the work on 'done '.

  1. access to the repository of planning
  2. open the HSP_JOB_STATUS table and locate the console work records which must be modified on 'done '.
  3. change the value "RUN_STATUS" of records suitable for 2

  4 restart the schedule service
  5 restart the Apache HTTP Server

  6. go to the planning work Console and check records job Console became available for deletion
  7 remove the necessary Console work records using the deletion of planning work Console

• Cannot open the Validation Log link in Hyperion Planning

  I've created a Hyperion planning application and validate it. It validates with an error. However, I can't open the llink validation log to view error messages. I removed the switch from the blocker in IE7. Are there other settings that I need to view the file or the journal of validation link.

• Hyperion Planning error - 'Out of Sync with deployment. "

  I'm trying to deploy the application, I created in Hyperion planning 11.1.2.1. When I click in deploying, I get the message, "Out of sync with deployment."
  
  In the window of console work, the State is displayed as "completed with errors. I tried to click the MESSAGES link under attachments to check for errors. But the window opens and closes immediately.
  
  Can someone please tell me where I can find the error logs.

• Hyperion Planning 9.3 BPMA vs classic

  We are on Hyperion Planning 9.3 (including all the latest patches). We are building a new planning application. Currently we donot have an ETL tool and it does not appear we will get for each other a few months up to what our new planning application is deployed into production. So in summary we will not have an ETL to solve the below problem.
  
  I used classical planning as an ETL tool to build my meta - data in recent implementations and have not had the chance to use BPMA. Recently, I started to get aquinted with BPMA and understand some of its benefits. However, I have a few specific questions;
  
  1. I know classical planning allows a manual creation of members, BPMA allows the same? BPMA should have flat file or table interface to create or add members? Our business users would be manual creation of some members, or for example to change the month of beginning or end of a "scenario". Thus, BPMA allows manual editing and push metadata?
  
  2. If an application is created using BPMA, they would have to interface via BPMA not classical planning and more. Is this true?
  
  3. I understand that it is possible to convert a classic application of planning in BPMA but 'NO' to vice versa. Is this true?
  
  4. Finally, a more difficult question, a more specific question that a little, dictates the choice for us.
  
  My customer wants to each Department to make their respective budgets (noting unusual there). However, most of these departments 'Project' and more specifically budget for budget based on 'Project name' (which are unique and not generic) as opposed to "Project numbers" (is not a standardization project number as yet). The challenge will be "project names" in Hyperion Planning (unfortunately it does exist not in the ERP/GL because these are new projects).
  
  Thus, although the finance team approves the budget of each Department, ultimately they like each Department would be able to create their respective names 'project' in Hyperion planning. And planning of such capabilities that support retail, etc. wouldn't work because they love resulting variance of "Names of project" and slice-n-dice from "project names.
  
  Now if we had an ETL tool above would have been simple, that I would have just created an automatism to say pickup a file with "Project Names" from a folder location is pre-determined. However, because we donot have an ETL, I was wondering if BPMA could do the same thing, i.e., in way automatic pick-up a file to a folder and create members and refresh Hyperion Planning? Could the "batch processing" in BPMA handle this?

  If you go down the road of the use of an ETL tool to integrate as a result of the EMP, so, my suggestion is ODI (Oracle Data Integrator)
  I wouldn't go too EPMA up to version 11, otherwise you'll be on here post error messages

  The AppInit_DLLs value is where none of these DLLs are specified and if yours is empty (which means that there is no dll to load) just tell Windows not to attempt to load something that does not exist.

  Check the value of LoadAppInit_DLLs and if it is set to 1, double click it and change the value to 0 (zero), close the registry editor, restart and double-check your event viewer.

  

  Is there something in the AppInit_DLLs field (a comma or space separated list of DLLs) then you should leave things alone because they are there for a reason any and accept the fact that you will see the informational message whenever your system boots.

• The database connection failed while creating DataSource in Hyperion planning.

  If it is an Oracle database, you connect to so be, you must enable the custom URL and change the url to server connection: port: sid to the server: port / servicename

  Also you can get better Planning_WebApp.log that is located in the directory the plannning managed server logs the log information.

  For example: the country Brazil has Portuguese as official language, but the table Alias must be BRL_Alias.When we tried to name, the name of the Alias as BRL_Alias it takes the Portuguese characters such as question marks (?).

  You can check in the library of the application-> tools-> manage the Source of data for planning. Select your data source and see if the "Unicode support" is true

• Disable / lockdown 'create a custom tool '.

  Im doing a custom install via the "Adobe Customization Wizard DC", the deactivation of all sorts of things.

  All set up in the work of the wizard, except turning off the tool 'create custom tool '.

  I checked the box for the 'create custom tool' off, and after installation it also added the registry key. See

  Well I just found the answer... The customization tool adds the incorrect registry value.

  The Customization Wizard adds the value "CustomUIApp". It should be "CreateCustomUIApp".
