  • The Task Manager is the only thing that works on my computer

Original title : NOT FUNCTIONING IT - my fault.

HELLLLLLLLLP!  The site I had sat said that I was running low on RAM (even if my count says otherwise)... Then, in the Task Manager, I started to delete what I THOUGHT was not essential.  But now I've lost EVERYTHING on my desk!  No internet access, no access to my email, no access to the function of my own computer!  (Start, search, System Tools, etc.).  The ONLY way I could even make this announcement, is to use the Task Manager.  It seems to be the ONLY thing working on my computer everything!)  Help, please!

Have you tried booting in safe mode? If it does not start last good test Configuration.

In any case, I hope that all the system processes running after logging in to your user account.

    Try this:
    1. go to the performance tab and click on it.
2 type Explorer or explorer.exe and press on enter and await the results.

Maybe the Explorer just doesn't work.

Hi all, very much has been said about the Apple Watch and the changes it makes or should I say priority, she resumed vehicle Bluetooth system.

Since owning the Apple Watch I have has problems of Bluetooth, more with my directory does not not upward. All other functions appear to work correctly. My repertoire is not now responsible to the vehicle (VW Golf GTI MY08 with BT fiscon system) all work fine until I received the watch.

Counsel there or just wait for an update?

I look forward to hear from you

The issues raised in your vehicle only persist when your watch is paired / with you in the car?

I suspect either a material limitation / bandwidth here, or perhaps a software update for BT to your car system may be necessary.

  • Need a list of what I can stop using the Task Manager to help play games that are hanging up or jump or stopping programs.

I know how to stop most of the programs running in the back ground by using the Task Manager and the process tab.  But, I click "Show processes from all users" list is double what it was.  I need a list of what I can finish process without going through the computer off and restart or with on dreaded blue screen.  So I ask if anyone has a list of processes that are sure to stop?  Thanks in advance, Frankster195

  • RESOLVED: The Task Manager icon in the system tray

I always keep my task manager running as an icon in the system tray.  After an update of software that seems to be an update of Windows XP or IE7, I can minimize is no longer my status bar task manager system; the icon is no longer present.  I have not changed the settings view in the Task Manager bar; they are all checked.  Now, I have to keep the Task Manager minimized in the taskbar instead.  [None of the taskbar settings were changed to icons in the system tray as I downloaded the SP3 for XP over 3 years ago.]  Could it have been caused by the update or y at - it a way to get the Task Manager to reduce in the tray system again?  Thank you.

I tried all types of features troubleshooting before coming here, including a full analysis of the antiviral software from my system & checking event viewer.  I even went in the registry to see if something happened to the system tray.  BUT... The action to be performed by the most obvious and which should have been the first, I failed to do - restart.  Due to an another software update of my antiviral package yesterday, 22/02/2012, I needed to restart.  After the reboot, the Task Manager icon returns to the system tray and minimization has not caused to disappear.

The only thing I can conclude is that something has gone wrong during the update of the software of MS Windows and installation of KB2660456, KB2647516-IE7, & KB2661637.  It was the only thing that happens so that I was with MS Paint, no browser was opened or other software packages on except what is necessary to update the files over an internet connection.  To take a hit to what it was exactly would be silly because any number of operations might have bothered with or temporarily created a small problem with the properties of the view Task Manager.

So I chalk it up to did not not the most basic 'Fixer glitch", reboot, in my haste to find a culprit.  I hope that my blunder will remind others not not forget to start with the basics for sudden failures troubleshooting.  Thank you for your time and your advice.

  • Windows vista cannot open network, the Task Manager and the windows system restore.

I have problems with a computer, I'm trying to fix. It is a Dell Inspiron 1420 with windows vista. Whenever I try to open the networking or system restore, I get a window with a white screen. With this blank screen, it's like the computer is frozen, ctrl alt del, break the gel, but when I try to open the Task Manager, it would not come. Another problem is blocking down. Stop taking too long. (maybe 30 min)   I did research on the internet to find what could cause something like this and a way to solve these problems, but I came empty. Any information or suggestion would be useful.

    Hi Wiseman504,

-How long have you had this problem?

-What software changes you did on the computer before the show?

    Follow these steps:

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Boot in safe mode with networking and see if the problem persists.

See options (including safe mode) advanced boot for instructions on how to start in safe mode with network.

Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, start your system in a State of clean boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.

For instructions, see How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 .

Note: After troubleshooting, make sure that you configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Optimize Windows Vista for better performance

Ways to improve your computer's performance

    Method 2:

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1:

Create a new user account and see if the problem is recurring in the account newly created.

    Step 2:

If the problem does not persist in the new user account, it could indicate that your old user account is corrupted.

Follow the steps in the following article to repair the damaged user profile:

  • Windows task manager looks completely wrong-it has no tabs for applications, services, processes, performance and put in a network, just a box of size rectangle TASKS WORKING ON?

The Windows Task Manager seems completely wrong - it has no tabs for applications, services, processes, performance and networking, just one size rectangle box SHOW the TASKS of WORKING ON?  I use it all the time close process and close programs stuborn. None of these options are CURRENTLY available? The only thing I can think is I went to delete one of my readers WD3.0 data and he says it has been used by another program and I've had that happen before and just go close a lot of the process by typing Control, Alt and delete which opens the windows task manager. I recently changed "System Configuration'under'msconfig" Normal startup to "selective startup" and reduce the number of drivers and programs loading to 'Start Up', as he ran 90 things and slow start. "" "» I have no viruses or malware. I changed the "system configuration" back to normal + restart and that he would remove the progams, or processes that have been intefering with the Western Digital HD software. THIS IS WHEN I FIRST NOTICED WINDOWS TASK MANAGER HAS BEEN SCREWED UP.

But I can't because my Windows Task Manager is just a rectangular box with a single word to the top sayingTASKS!  Without tab with all the other options as in (program, process, services, performance, and network management).

Would BE AN INTELLIGENT PERSON please TELL ME WHAT TO? I don't want to do a system restore , as I just cleaned it all points this week and just started around and added a bunch of programs and data this week that I let go.

PLEASE HELP ME TECHE AND MICROSOFT. I PAY $250 p/year FOR THIS DELL ALIENWARE MACHINE LOADED due to it's PERFORMANCE AND THEY WILL NOT ANSWER (1) DANG SOFTWARE ISSUE WITH what THEY ARE PAID. THEY WANT $60 - $100 OR MORE TO ANSWER THIS QESTION FRENCH ANOTER. THEY USED TO, WHEN I COULD BUY GOLD SUPPORT BUT THEY SELL ON THIS MACHINE, SO I'M ON MY OWN AND THANKS FOR THE ADVICE LIKE THIS...

    The Microsoft Support web site.

The task manager has two different views. For the display that includes menus and tabs, double-click the border of the Task Manager window. To return to the view without menus and tabs, double-click anywhere in the border around the tabs.

We won't have the information mentioned in the first response of Sandsweep.

(I confirmed Microsoft's answer worked.) I must have clicked on the edge of the window Task Manager to have switched over to the second, less familiar view.)

  • is there an alternative photo management system that works (and NOT the pictures)

Y at - it another app that works better than the pictures, that we can use to manage the photos, because they took iPhoto and replaced it with pictures?  Is there a way just to import photos and save them to your computer in folders, as you would on a Windows system? And then maybe just use Picasso or something?

You can still use iPhoto if you are eligible:

Re: Iphoto's gone? I want to go back!

Go to the App Store and check out the shopping list. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1

If it's there, then drag your existing iPhoto application (not the library, just the app) in the trash

Install the application on the App Store.

IPhoto is sometimes not visible on the shopping list. It may be hidden. See this article for more details on how to view it.

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/HT4928

A question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?

iPhoto, the application and the iPhoto library are two different parts of the iPhoto program. So, reinstall the application should not affect the library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

  • Csrss.exe & winlogon.exe shown in 'process' of the Task Manager with no user name or from a cache. How can I remove or put an end to this process?

Csrss.exe is a knowledge trojen or spyware to invade the PC security

    Hi Albert,

Csrss.exe, this is the part of the user mode of the subsystem Win32 (Win32.sys being the kernel-mode portion). CSRSS means client/server run-time Subsystem and is an essential subsystem that must run continuously. CSRSS is responsible for console windows, creating or deleting threads, and some parts of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment.

Winlogon.exe is the part of Windows Login subsystem. This process is responsible for managing the security key sequence (by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete before you see the logon box), loading of user profiles, the locking system when a screensaver is running and check the activation key for the operating system.

I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there is no virus.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • NAC appliance 3315 OOB remote management with BMC (ILO) does not work

    Hello

We have several 3355 servers configured with the ILO, we can handle (on/off switch) with web interface of the ILO.

But we have a few 3315, witch are IBM X 3250 M2 servers.

Sound also have a port management in the back, and we can set up IP/name username/password to the BIOS (Baseboard Management Controller - the BMC settings).

But if we try to connect is a switch, there is no link. (the switch is capable auto-mdx).

What we need to make it work? The IBM BIOS, BMC firmware is the most recent.

    Thanks in advance

    Attila

    Atilla,

We had the same problem (no link light) and discovered that these servers were not equipped with a card RSA (adapter supervisor). Looks like the 3355 are delivered with these already installed, but not the 3315.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

    Denzil

  • My computer takes an exceptionally long time to open and close. I have to delete svchost.exe process system via the Task Manager to stop the system. Problem is recent.

I recently used wireless net via Cisco router. However I don't know if the problem is with it.

If you install the new software try uninstall and see if problem is resolved or not. Also try to restore back your software once before the problem happens. Try defragnment and disk performance checking, cleaning disc and scan your PC with antivirus or Microsoft Safety scanner online:
