• worrying/weird doc installed at the top of my drive hard iMac

  a weird text document has suddenly appeared at the level of the base ('root'?) of my internal hard drive, over Applications, library etc files. Given news today on the ransomeware via Flash Player vulnerability, I wonder if I should be worried...?

By reading the information, the file is 92 bytes (4 KB on disk) and has been created/modified last night at 23:17. And sharing and Permissions under name/privilege - system (read & write), 'wheel' and 'all' (read-only). Not to recognize the last two, are these positions of privilege typical I don't recognize? And what (or who) is "wheel"?

  I remember another strange behavior of Mac spends about the same exact time last night. While I was successfully streaming TV Live (on site Time Warner) on Chrome, I tried to access my Gmail on another Chrome window and a message "your computer is offline." Web page Ditto w/other attempts. But the TV stream was very good, my router box lights all flashing in line/OK and SysPrefs network and security showed I was indeed online, never met this front either. If again installed on my hard drive - I can't Trash without entering my system password - this doc strange, unjustified has something to do with it...?

  It's normal prompt when you try to delete something outside your user folder.

  "wheel" and "everyone" are normal elements in the Get Info.

• Windows 7 won't let me access the files (my documents, my downloads), but the programs work very well!

However, when I open things in my libraries such as My Documents or my music, there just a blank page, saying that I have no files in this folder, but I have files in all of these files: photos, all my music itunes and documents.

  My Acer Aspire 5552 G Win 7 SP1 (64-bit) laptop has been extremely slow starts lately and I think I know what the problem is just not how to fix it.

The incident occurred three weeks ago (26 December) when I was sent a link (which supposedly contained a picture of trade offers) on Steam which directed me to download a file (.scr). I downloaded but he was suspicious of being (.scr) file extension. So I scanned with my antivirus (Kaspersky Internet Security 2015) and it has not found anything. (I should also mention that when you click on the link to access the site Kaspersky also has not blocked the site either).

  I stupidly executed the file (I have the permit after UAC) and the Trojan horse went to work. My Steam profile all my friends malicious links sent to the same link of that initially, I downloaded the Trojan horse. She also sent the commercial offers of my Steam account.

  I restarted my computer in normal mode and everything seemed fine. However, I was paranoid that Kaspersky may have missed other malicious programs. So I downloaded and installed AVG, Malwarebytes, Spyhunter 4 and McAfee Scan Plus. All of these additional programs never detected any virus or Trojan horses (although Spyhunter 4 detected many internet trackers).

  So I uninstalled these additional programs and now I just Kaspersky. It's been three weeks constantly restart my PC and so far I have access to all my files and disks, so it looked like Kaspersky has successfully eliminated this ransomware.

  Now to my problem actually is (as indicated in the title). My laptop undergoes two sequences of black screen.  One is after the windows logo start (approximately 45 seconds) and after the Welcome screen (which is about 5 minutes).

  It's very annoying. Before all this started my laptop took only about 45 seconds of the power on button office ready.

• MacBook Pro display problem

  As of recently, I have noticed some glitches when feeding on my MacBook or awakened from his sleep.

I went from 6281 mAh mAh 6138 maximum capacity after two cycles of load. I'm tracking closely it because at this rate, my battery will survive only at load cycles about 150 instead of the 1000 expected, gives me the idea that this could very well be a bad battery. The computer is also warm to the touch while you sleep, not connected to the power supply. I NAP active but even taking into account should not be hotter my iPhone did the same thing.

  I have reset the SMC, and it solved a couple of problems. The charger works fine now and my performance improved considerably (which made me feel better, either it is a high-performance laptop, a 11-inch MacBook Air should not he surpass), and battery life has improved. I feel even if it uses a lot of power in his sleep. Maybe I need to turn off the NAP and see if that makes a difference. The graphic bug still persists however, and I don't have enough time to see if the max battery is depleting again.

  After reviewing your post, it seems that you are having problems with the screen showing strange things on it. Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. I recommend you read this article, as reset NVRAM would be to reset your screen resolution settings that should help.

  I am also having the same problem. Run ridiculously hot and battery only for half a day, if I'm lucky. I've had the phone for 2 weeks now. My IPhone 6 never had these problems, and the battery should last the whole day without incident.

  I tried to disable the notifications push and push mail in hope, this may solve the problem, but using the phone this morning the phone become very hot and went down to 10% in charge while checking a few emails. It's certainly not right. I posted a complaint on the Apple Support page. If all goes well, they will be able to do something on this issue, because there is clearly a problem across many users. I've just updated my phone to 10.0.2 in the hope that this can help. Fingers crossed!

• USB readers of reformatting to insert (intermittent)

  My MacBook Pro since the recent OS X install 10.11.6, now completely reformat my external USB drives when inserting (about 20% of the time). The problem affects WD MyBook 2 TB external drives (x 2), WD MyBook Duo 12 TB NAS, as well as memory cards SD and my digital SLR via a card reader Lexar CF. The problem is intermittent. Sometimes, when I insert the above discs they mount as usual and display the structure of HFS files and any content file, on other occasions, there is a slight delay (about 40 seconds) after inserting a disc, then the drive is mounted as if it were brand new, straight out of the box. the 'hidden' EFI drive mount on the desktop, as well as a now empty and reformatted HFS disk partition. Products may go under the name of "Drive Manager", "SmartWare" or words to that effect. If you installed anything resembling this description, uninstall it according to his instructions.

  It is possible to move your passwords, but it is difficult (and note, this is only a problem if someone has access to your computer, in which case they would be more likely to use a keylogger and gather all your keystrokes in this way, you'll have more great concern).
