  • Problem activating Windows 7 64 bit.

Activation of Windows 7 64-bit issue,

Im trying to test my software on a laptop 64 bit, my original OS is installed on a PC.

Do I have to buy another copy of the operating system, in order to test my designs of software on another computer, or can it be solved otherwise? Help, please.

    I'm confused.

It's the (Windows 7 64-bit) operating system or the software that is installed by giving you the activation number?

Each installation of Windows 7 must be activated, that peer machine license. If you are using a license that was already being used elsewhere, then you must purchase a new license.

  • I can install Windows 7 64-bit disk external eSATA SSD as my OS boot?

I would like to install on in-house, but I also need to run RAID disks for my data for redundancy.  I want to we SSD for my OS drive for obvious reasons (speed).  But the TRIM command to clean up the SSD is not functional through RAID controllers.  I wonder if Windows 7 is set up and operate from an eSATA drive?  My BIOS doesn't let me choose eSATA as a boot drive, but I've seen messages that mention the operating system Windows do not allow you to install on external drives.  I understand also is the eSATA 3 Gb/s, but I wonder if there are differences in bandwidth external case?

Or maybe the native command of Windows 7 ATA-TRIM works through RAID controllers?

Otherwise, I could have all the discs for the IDE installation, and then use Windows software RAID controller, but I believe that would considerably slow down my data disks, which is far from ideal as.

Any clarity on this would be appreciated.  I don't want to go down a path of $700 and a lot of time if the result is not good.

    Hi Jeff_Elucidate,

You can install Windows 7 on external hard drive ESATA. Plugin from the player to your computer, go to the BIOS and make sure the ESATA drive is set as the default device to start. And during the installation of Windows 7 to install the necessary drivers and you must have your Windows 7 installed on drive ESATA.

Peut I install Windows 7 without initially provide the product key during installation?  I'd rather go once the installation is finished, I just have to copy and paste it in the email like that.

    Hello

Yes, you can try a free key of Windows 7 Installation. But be sure that you enter the product key to activate Windows wihtin 30 days grace period. Once the 30 days grace period end your system will go in any safe and you may need to reinstall the copy again.

Unlike Windows Vista, if you si vous achetez buy Windows 7 DVD you get specified edition disk and installation you will not get an option to select the edition. Almost to the last step of the Installation, you will get the opportunity to enter the product key that you can jump and try to enter the product at the time of the Activation key.

You bought a copy of Windows 7 for each computer?

You can install a Windows 7 purchase on several computers if you have the Family Pack. When you have the 'Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack' for 3 computers, it is a retail copy and you can install Windows 7 on three computers at once. He'll say 'Family Pack' on it.

When you have the regular commercial version, it can be moved to another computer, but it can be installed on a single computer at a time.

If you have a legal copy for each computer, try to activate again. If activation fails, see the Microsoft Diagnostics real link below.

Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

If you have trouble activating Windows 7 you can call Microsoft to activate it by following these steps:

    1. start by clicking on the start menu, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.

4 Select the telephone activation option, enter the number, do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.

If you are still unable to activate:

    (1) download and run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool:

  • Pavilion DM4-2070us uninstalled touchpad but still active, Windows 7 64 bit

I prefer the touchpad mouse so I uninstalled and connected a wireless mouse. However, the keyboard remains active, and of course I can not turn off with double button in the off position. This results in an involuntary movement of the cursor when the buffer is affected as well as lost characters. In other words, I have no control over the touchpad.

Fix myself. Down loaded touchpad S/W installed, went to the control panel (mouse) and disabled the touchpad part.

The secret is not first uninstall the S/W touchpad as mouse in the control panel will have no possibility of disabled the Touchpad and for some reason any will still be active at the same time as the mouse. Not good.

  • Can satellite L350-20J - I use Windows 7 64 bit on it?

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L350-20J, model No. PSLD8E, six months ago, and I have XP Prof 32-bit of the system.

Now, I would have (to buy) Windows 7 and I don't know, it's my portable computer compatible with Windows 7, 64-bit system?

Thank you very much for the help.

    Hello

Of course, you can install Windows 7 64 bit. It s your laptop and you can do whatever you want with it! ;)

I checked the page for Satellite L350 Toshiba and it seems that you can get most drivers there. So he should t be a problem to use Windows 7 64-bit with all the functions on this laptop.

    Visit the Toshiba page yourself!

  • Can satellite A100-003 - I install Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Hello everyone,

I have the Satellite A100-003 and I've been running it with Windows XP since I it (triple). Now I want to install Windows 7 on it, however, I'm confused about what can I install on it.

I have a few places on the Toshiba site, I found that I can install Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), but I can met some problems with the BIOS, in other places, I tried but could not find the drivers for Windows 7 64 bit.

So what is the case? My first goal is to install windows 7 64 bit, because I have 4 GB of RAM on my laptop, but even the 32 bit would be a better choice than XP right now.
So I can install Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop?

Thanks in advance for any answer!

    Hello

Important before installing another OS, you check the Toshiba driver download page. Satellite A100-003 belongs to the PSAARE series and is therefore not available for Windows 7 drivers. You can only get the drivers for Windows XP and Vista 32 bit.

This means that you can try to install Windows 7 because Vista drivers most also work on Windows 7.
If this isn't the case you find newer drivers yourself, maybe you can find something.

  • can I put my windows 7 32-bit operating system to 64-bit?

can I put my w7 32-bit to 64-bit? My frend say, my operating system can be upgraded to 64 - bit...

my current system I got the tools and performance information:
    Reference of the manufacturer-acer
    model - aspire 4552
total 3.00 GB ram memory - system
    system type 32 bit os
Number of processor core-2 (amd athlon II P340 2.2 GHZ)
    64-bit capable Yes
    graphics-ati mobility radeon hd 4200
    Thank you..

Yes, you can install Windows 7 64-bit.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Can Windows 7 64 bit instead of 32 bit I do this?

My current hard drive is a failure so I replace it with a 500 GB instead of 320 GB. I have always supported my drive up to 280 GB Pocket media drive (my computer is a HP Pavilion s3714uk incidentally). MY question is this: I upgraded to 7 Wn of Vista and I have Win7 32 bit and 64 bit discs. My current system is 32 bit, when I get the new drive can I set the 64 bit version of Win7 on it and then load the backup of my multimedia drive on the new drive?   Or is that not possible?

I would be happy thoughts on this question, because I have all the original disks to recharge on the computer and so no disks, some I bought online.

Any help offered would be welcome.

Yes. You can install Windows 7 (64-bit) without problem.

The drivers are on your PC support pages.

The extent of the loading of a saved from one PC to another. Hmm. It depends on what you call a backup.

If you mean data, such as documents, photos, music and video, then it is not a problem.  If you mean using a backup like Roxio or Macrium product I have to say that it is unlikely to succeed. About the new OS Windows system restore should not recognize backups performed on other OS.

  • Computers provided with Windows 7 64-bit, and we need Windows 7 32 bit

Our company bought 5 IdeaCentre K300 computers from a big blue store. Computers came with W7 64-bit Home Premium preinstalled. We also purchased 5 windows whenever the PIN upgrade which allows us to move to W7 professional so we can add these computers to our domain. We have several products to launch from the part of field and will not work with the 64-bit operating system and running in XP mode just hard does not work (for these applications). The person who bought computers said the computers contain the 64-bit and 32-bit W7 Home Premium and we can switch to the 32-bit version using the OneKey Recovery utility and then run the Windows Anytime Upgrade. I have one of the computer booted several times and you press the F2 key when the Lenovo logo appeared and have only one option, the 64-bit version.

How do I get the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium for these computers?

    Thanks in advance,

It is not possible to switch from windows 32 <> 64-bit by performing the clean install of windows (with a key recovery)

You must install a clean install of windows. Download iso windows legal from the link below, then do a clean install of your computer for activation, use online activation or call microsoft.
    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/Windows-OS-software/428068-legal-Windows-7-download-links-just-like-...

PS: Make sure that you download 32 windows. and burn recovery discs before installation clean Windows, just in case.

You can download the drivers from the link below:

    Edit:

Windows Express Upgrade pin which allows us to move to w7 professional

You can select windows 7 32 bit while upgrading to windows. so you won't need to download/install windows 7 from iso legal.
