I can't access files shared on my windows desktop PC 7.

I have ugraded my office recently to Professional Edition Windows Windows7 Home premium. I set up a group of common work between all my machines. I can see and access shared folders on my laptop from my desktop. I can't access files shared on my runing Windows 7 desktop.

When I try and access the windows7 PC I get this error

\\XXXXXXXXX is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions

Logon failure: the user has not granted the type of logon required on this computer

I have three XP laptops with the same workgroup name. All users are the same. Laptops are access to a wireless network. The office is connected to my router.

I have seen this problem several times in Windows XP, but it's the first time I saw it in Windows 7.  It suits it in XP.  Please try it out on your computer Windows 7 Professional:

1. press the Windows key + R , type secpol.msc in the box, and then click OK .
2. click on local strategies .
3. click on user rights assignment .
4. click access this computer from the network and make sure that the everyone group is included.
5. click deny access to this computer from the network and make sure that the everyone group is NOT included.
