I can't fix error 651 by replacing the file raspppoe.sys as I don't have admin rights to System32/Drivers. What can I do?

I get error 651 on WIndows7. I tried to replace the raspppoe.sys file as it was recommended, but I am unable to do this since I don't have administrative rights on System32/Drivers.
Please, advise.

Hello

Unfortunately, you will not be able to rename system files or folders without administrator privileges. To rename and solve the problem, try to connect as an administrator and try to rename the file system.

Also, try the following steps to take over the file and then try to rename the file system:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the file or folder you want to take charge.
  2. Right-click on the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
  3. Click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
  4. Click Edit, and then do one of the following:
    • To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click other users and groups , in area enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click OK.
    • To change the owner to a user or group that appears in the area of change of ownership to , click the new owner.
  5. (Optional) To change the owner of all subcontainers and objects in the tree view, select the check box Replace owner of subcontainers and objects .

    Hi aymana10507726,

With player application you can not remove the protection.

However, you can perform using Acrobat application.

    Remove password security

You can remove security from an open PDF if you have the permissions to do so. If the PDF is secured with a security policy based on server, only the author of policy or a server administrator can change.

Open the PDF file, and then click Tools > Protect > Encrypt > remove security.

Your options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document:

If the document contains only a Document open password, click OK to delete the document.

If the document contains a permissions password, type it in the box, enter the password, and then click OK. Click OK again to confirm the action.

  • I get the error message "Microsoft Client Protection has been found", but I don't have MS Security Essentials installed now what

First story... I installed MS Security Essentials, but I get something into my computer that caused his failure.  It would not uninstall, and then finally after a long struggle I finally got deleted.  I have no reference to it in the registry nor are there all of the folders on the computer I can find have all files to make it.  I tried to install it again but I always get an error that it cannot find the mp_ambits.msi file.  Even when I run at the prompt of msg in the folder newly created with this file in there.

I then tried to have at least the Defender installed to see running windows and then I get the "Protection of the MS Client has been found" which refers to the MS Security Essentials, which is not installed.  But there is obviously some there remains something that makes my system "THINKS" that Essentials is installed.

Anyone has an idea on how the devil clear this issue so that I can either install Windows Defender or Security Essentials?

It won't let me access to the CD-ROM to install windows because of this error, and I can not boot past the windows loading screen! He's going to enter the safe mode options but whatever one I choose, it flashes a quick blue screen which says UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME. How can I fix?

This is a nice article if it starts your desire to install the as option to start Recovery Console, your system and that you have a genuine XP installation CD bootable that corresponds to your installation.

Here, the system does not start, there is no installation of the Console recovery and most people either have no real XP bootable installation CD or if they don't have one, it's older than their Service Pack installed.

Unfortunately, we don't know anything about this system which is afflicted, except that it's a computer that no longer starts.  A little more detail would help, but that's the way things happen here in MS Answers forums.

I just make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console and use it.

    Here's how:

    So, let's start with this:

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes the plug pulling, buttons power and removing the battery).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

There is zero logic to begin to try to begin to try to modify or copy files to a hard drive that has a corrupted file system, so this must first be fixed using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk on your hard drives may solve your problem completely.

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
    Operation of the network.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 6.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 6.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.
    http://www.prevx.com/   <-->

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    Cause

A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.

This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.

If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:

    • The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
    • The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
    • The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.

When I install Age of mythology, I have put on disc 1, do all the stuff, he moved to 45%, and then it asks me to put in disc 2. I do, and he moved to 94%, which is the stage that she calls 'Copy texture.bar' then it stops and I can hear the disc turn and stop repeatedly. After about 10-15 minutes, I get an error message and it said:

"Age of Mythology of installation encountered a disk error when writing in the file.

    C:\Users\(My Name)\Desktop\aom\textures\textures.bar.

Make sure that your hard disk is not full, and that the file is not in use. »

I know that my hard disk is not full, because I just got this computer a month ago. In addition, when the disc is, it vibrates and makes a buzzing sound that only stopped when I put my finger on the space between the disc and the side of the laptop.

    Could you please help me?

See if it's in the download of the demo. http://AOM.HeavenGames.com/

    Hello ErikAtkinson,

You can try saving the PDF file on your desktop before trying to open it.
See if that helps with corruption problems.

If this isn't the case, then I suggest that you post in the forums Adobe for Adobe Reader. I have included a link below:

Original title: need help to use the repair feature when you use the disk of resettlement for XP Media Center 2005.

I cannot using the repair on Windows XP Media Center 2005 feature.  I started the repair process and enter the installation phase, but the installation stops because it cannot find the file [e1e5132.sys] which is a Windows\System32 folder.  I managed to download a Pack which included the file (using another computer), but I can't properly cancellation of the installation in order to install the file in the appropriate location.  Whenever I try to restart the computer, it goes immediately to this part of the installation of the repair process.  Even when I try to restart without reinstall into the CD drive; When the reinstallation disk is removed and I try to restart, it requires me to insert the disc to continue to the reinstall.  Help - How can I back out of the reinstall, so that I can add the missing file first?

    Hi Stephdan,

    1. have you done any hardware changes or software on your computer before this problem?

    2. Why are you trying to fix the computer?

It would be possible that the Windows XP installation disc is damaged.

    (a) you can try to do a Windows XP disk which should correspond to the same edition, as it is installed on your machine.

    (b) later, try to repair the installation and check if you are able to boot to the desktop normally.

    Perform a repair Installation

    Note:
however, you should not have Service Pack 3 installed on the computer before you run repair installation.

    Hope the helps of information.
Please post back and we do know.
