  • I can't open iPhoto, the icon has an exclamation mark superimposed

Morning, I have a cannot open iPhoto on my Mac 27 inches. OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 the icon has a question (query) superimposed.

It's in the Dock or in Launchpad? Both?

The superposition of question mark means that the application has been deleted or cannot be found, open your folder/applications and see if the iPhoto icon is still there. Maybe you moved somewhere outside in / applications rather than actually delete?

You know iPhoto has been replaced by the Photos app today? Do you have any pictures installed? Is this a new iMac, that you have copied the data in another Mac running an earlier version of Mac OS X? If so, how did you transfer? Migration Assistant?

  • IPhoto does not open or update in the UK store

    Hello

My Iphoto has decided that it does not open or update.

When I click on update it says "the object you requested is not available in the UK store.

I followed the instructions on a similar problem, but when I go to purchased apps to remove it, it does not appear. When I then go to 'Show', this option is not available for me.

I am currently using OS X El Capitan version 10.11.5, I think it is a recent update and could be a problem cause (but I don't really know)

    Please help me

    Thank you

I followed the instructions on a similar problem, but when I go to purchased apps to remove it, it does not appear. When I then go to 'Show', this option is not available for me.

You need iPhoto 9.6.1 on El Capitan.  But you can only upgrade to iPhoto, if the version you are using a version installed from the AppStore or associated at least your AppleID on the AppStore.  If iPhoto came on installer DVD and you have not purchased it from the AppStore or he did not come preinstalled on your Mac with OS X Lion or newer, then you can is no longer up-to-date.  Apple has stopped the development of iPhoto, and update is no longer supported.  You can only reinstall versions of iPhoto you already own.  It is too late now to convert the DVD of iPhoto versions versions AppStore.

You can open your libraries in Photos for Mac iPhoto library, however. It is the successor to Apple iPhoto. See this support document, how your iPhoto library will appear in Photos: How Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

The problem is not the camera.

The problem is that applications that you are using must be updated to handle the A65 ARW files.
