  • Windows Store apps does not open and the app Store just hangs

Before going back to my University all my apps worked very well. But when I'm back and rebooted my laptop, they don't work anymore. The apps Store open at all, and when I open the app Store itself, just displays the splash page and returns to the start screen (some have had this problem, too).  I tried all the methods suggested here on the forums (convenience store app, refresh my PC (twice), msconfig, wsreset.exe, sfc/scannow, etc), but none of them have worked.  I've even updated the operating system does not work today (known as Patch Tuesday) but as always. Did someone solved this problem? Any help is appreciated.

My app Store kept crashing (get out before even showing animation "loading") after I updated to Windows 8. 1. after having tried all of new updates of the Bank reset (returned an error of remote procedure call), I found this fix that worked:

Re-register the app Store by running a command window and typing:
    PowerShell - ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage - registry DisableDevelopmentMode-$Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
I hope this helps others in this situation.
  • Links for Windows Store apps does not

When I click on a link "view in Windows Store" on the web, it always opens the Windows Store - never the real app site start page in the store.

    How can I fix?

Sometimes, this can happen if you have your PC region set to a region with a limited selection app (not all applications are available in all regions)

Control Panel > clock, language and region (click here) > region
and in the region is "moved" (may change in the U.S., if not already)
After that, press the Win - X (keycombo while in office) and click on run

Type "WSReset.exe" in the box run and he resumes Windows Store with cache disabled and set
    in your new area

If this isn't your problem, wait for further assistance in this forum, also make sure you have ALL available Windows updates installed

  • I can not load down the windows store and does not refresh

Windows said it fixed the problem but it still won't be updated also I can not down load Windows store, HELP I have no nothing to computing

    Original title: windows update doesn't

This problem can occur for several reasons such as interruption of the connection between the computer and the Windows Update service, the system files related to Windows Update do not work properly etc. This problem can also occur if the manifest of components (CBS)-based services is corrupted.

    Follow these methods:

    Method 1.

I suggest you to temporarily disable any third-party antivirus installed on the computer and check the status of update installation.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2.

Start the computer in a clean boot state, and check the status of update. A clean boot to test if any element of service or third party application startup is causing this issue.

Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

    Method 4.

Rename the Software Distribution folder and verify the installation state of update.

    Follow the steps.

    (a) press "Windows + X" and click/click on "command prompt (Admin).

    (b) open the command prompt window, type these commands one by one, and press ENTER after each command.

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

  • Windows 8 Apps does not

HI, I have just upgraded to Windows 8 Windows 7 pro.

The upgrade went well, and all of my previous Win 7 applications work. However Win 8 (those launched from the startup screen) applications do not work. By clicking on the tiles brings to the top of the screen to start this application, and then it just closes. All of them seem to do, except for the "cards".

I did a search but could not find anything. He seems to have been a similar problem with the preview of consumption, so I tried these suggestions. Because my user profile has been one that I imported from win7, it was an admin so that could be the cause. I created a local administrator and spent my account to a normal and connected with a Live ID account, but that did not work. UAC is enabled, so that can't be it. I use a HD (1920 x 1080) display, so that it can not be either. My windows experience index is 6.2 (it's a laptop), so I don't think that hardware/driver issues could be it.

    Any suggestions?

If Metro Apps still does not your other option would be to refresh your PC.

Here's what happens when you refresh your PC:
    · Your files and your personalization settings do not change.

    · Your PC will change back to their default values.

    · Applications on Windows Store will be kept.

    · Applications that you have installed discs or sites Web is removed.

    · A list of removed apps will be saved to your desktop.

These steps will take you through refreshing your PC:

    · Press the Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · Under refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Start

Then follow the instructions that will be provided on-screen to cool your PC.

  • 'Metro' Windows 8 Apps does not...

I installed windows 8 on my laptop and everything worked fine, but now very few, if all the apps Metro will operate, for example, calendar and mail not loading, or to applications like Skype. Screen resolution is 1366 x 768. And I have kapersky internet security 2013 installed. Can anyone help? Other solutions seem to be to do with the resolution of the screen and antivirus but my resolution should be fine and I tried with disabled Kapersky and still does not work...

Honestly I've read a lot about this. There are so many messages that MS needs to make some kind of announcement. There are many theories about what is causing the issue, and most of them seem to be centered around the antivirus, firewall and other. I read that Windows 8 has strengthened its security and protection with Windows Defender anti-virus. I had the same questions as everyone else. My metro apps wouldn't work. Click it, you get a splash screen, and then it seems to be load with points of spinning in a circle and that's all I could get. I worked on this for 2 days and with extreme frustration. I took some advice from some other people having the same problem and I completely uninstalled Mcafee Security Suite, rebooted the computer and low and behold, that resolved 'my' problem. As for others, I can't say. I've never once refreshed or borrow. I wish I had done just a couple of days! I hope you make the right decision for yourself. I have now no antivirus 3rd party anything on my system. I'm a careful Internet user when it comes to the internet and I stay away from any type of file-sharing sites. I hope this does not come back and bite me. Good luck!

  • White screen of McAfee and Windows 8 apps does not

    Hello

I had problems with a variety of applications of Windows 8 does not properly. For example, shows weather tile up to fine as a tile, but then when I click it there just has the rotating balls (replacement of the hourglass) and does nothing. Same for the store Windows, rotation of the balls and nothing else. Skype also does not work.

Not sure if it is related to the McAfee internet security suite, because all I get when I load which is a white window.

It is on an AO756 an Aspire bought end of 2012, and whose serial number is incredibly not recognized by the Acer support site (I posted about this yesterday, but heard nothing back).

Not impressed with Windows 8 or Acer at this stage.

I ended up buying a new McAfee product, like Security Suite Internet which has been preloaded on my netbook has been exceeded. The installation was not easy and I had to contact McAfee support. I ended up having to 1) remove and reinstall Java, 2) remove all McAfee software and 3) reinstall McAfee.

Who eventually solve all the issues I had with McAfee and Windows 8.

I'm always interested in hearing, why the serial number of my netbook is not recognized by the Acer support.

  • How can I send variable to new window since cflocation does not work?

I have a form that sends data to itself using the < FORM action = "#getfilefrompath (cgi.script_name)" # "method ="post">"

He is then saved or updated, then the flyer_id sent to pdf_view.cfm to display it in a PDF format. I use cflocation to go to another page with the flyer_id:

    < cflocation url = "flyer_pdf.cfm? flyer_id = #flyer_id #" >

Where the flyer_id is used to query the appropriate information on the pdf_view.cfm. What I would really like to do is flyer_id varable automatically opens the page pdf_view.cfm in a new window, after economy/update the flyer.

    How is that possible?

    Hi rickaclark54,

You can open a new window using javascript. Please take a look at the following example.

    Page name:OpenWindow.cfm

    Page name:openWindowcont.cfm

    #URL.flyer_id #.

    not available!

in this way, you can open a new window and sends the data via a url.

    Thank you

  • Windows 8 Apps does not download. All stuck on waiting.

I just got a new laptop Windows 8. Right out of the box, a bunch of applications to be updated, but they all get stuck on "pending" and will not download. I am very disappointed by the lack of "out of the box' maneuverability. How can I get these applications to update and download?

I found these steps on a different thread and gave them a try, and subsequently my updates downloaded and installed properly.  Force the update service to create a new folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution seems to fix the problem:

    1. Open an administrative command prompt (go to the start screen, type 'cmd', right-click on command prompt and press "Run as Administrator")

    2. Type the following commands to four in the command prompt:
    3. net stop wuauserv
      CD %SystemRoot%\System32
      Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
      net start wuauserv
    4. Try to install updates again.

  • Windows 8 Metro apps does not open

Windows 8 Metro Apps does not and can not access the Windows store.  I tried Apps Troubleshooter who said that he could not solve the problem.  I tried to do a restore.  It is said that he cannot fix error.  I read one post from another who says all this happened when they uninstalled McAfee.  They believe that uninstalled McAfee deleted an important dll.   My Acer Aspire also came with McAfee installed and I uninstalled it when the trial period has expired.   I think that's when my problems started.   The other user said that the metro Apps worked once they bought McAfee.   Does anyone have a solution that does not involve the purchase of McAfee?

Microsoft windows media player does not retain the previous size. is irrtating so me gift of reorganize its size every time when I open it.plz help I want stable wmp version 11, version 12 is sucks.

    Hello, Simone

I'll assume you're on Windows 7. Windows Media Player 12 is not supported on Windows Vista or XP and as such, you will need to go back to Windows Media Player 11.

You can check the permissions in the registry to ensure that it is able to record information.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Open the registry editor by clicking on start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press on enter, you may be prompted to continue.

In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, MediaPlayer, then Preferences.

It should be an element named LastLocation_26, right-click on it and select Rename, and rename it to old LastLocation_26.

Leave the open registry editor and open Media Player, then move it to your favorite place and close Media Player.

In the registry editor, press F5 on your keyboard and check if LastLocation_26 has been recreated.

If this is not the case, there is probably a permissions problem.

If so, the location must be registered.
