  I have a (Bachmann M1) SPS connected to the PC via an OPC server. I have a draft LabView 100 Variables. These Variables a figure on a HyperTrend a saved in an ASCII file. It works very well, most of the time

  But after a restart of the SPS it gives reading tower, about 25% of the Variables. In the control of the OPC tool, I can see that the OPC server is running and all Variables are very well. I also see in the NOR-DSM. Here, I can see that the value of the Variables is "NAN". After a restart of the process library, it works fine until the next reboot of the SPS.

  I have this combination of Hard - and Software component (SPS - OPC - PC) which works well on 10 other Test applications. Also after a reboot of the SPS. I also run the same software. I only change the address of the OPC Server and must import the reactive power. But the rest is the same.

  If anbody else have the same problem and maybe a solution for this problem?

  You do not have.  You add another e-mail address as a second email account, while you keep the other at the same time.  But as stated to Veritas, it would be useful that you got a little more specific if you want a more detailed answer.

  Hi Volker,

  There is an Express VI, that lets you create or change existing servers of e/s Modbus programmatically createand configure the Server IO. Once you set up like Modbus, you will be able to provide the address programmatically.

  In regards to the address - you are right in that the Modbus address configured in the configuration of the server is not really used with Modbus Ethernet. According to Modbus specifications, the address is used when a network connecting Modbus Ethernet to a secondary network series Modbus via a bridge or a bridge. The specs say that the address 0xFF should be used on an Ethernet network. For more information on this topic, Please see page 23.

  I'm moving a project from a platform of 9114 cRIO a cRIO9068, the reason for a difference of heavy in terms of power CPU, memory, performance FPGA etc...

  Real time I deploy a modbus TCP server, and I publish just I16 data.

  The problem comes when the program tries to write a negative value to a binded on modbus variable. This variable is in the same format (I16), the program could write negative values, between 0 and -32768, but whenever the modbus force set to zero.

  I tested the modbus also with the 'system of distributed OR 2014 Manager' but always impossible to write negative values on I16, but I can if I consider the data as I32!

  Furthermore, I deployed a modbus server on my PC and in this case, everything is fine.

  More information:

  I work with labView 14.0f1.

  The cRIO are installed 'Labview RealTIme 14.0.0' and 'server Modbus I/O 14.0.0.

  I tested the feature on three different cRIO 9068 with the same result.

  I think it's something wrong with cRIO 9068, can anyone help me?

  I was able to reproduce the problem cRIO 9068 and it look like a CAR (corrective action request). I've opened a request for Corrective Action (AUTO ID 511039) to report the issue OR R & D.

  Have you tried to implement MODBUS slave on ana MODBUS master PC on cRIO? I tried and it works even with I16 data types.

  How do you define the address 0? When I put my server Modbus slave address 0 in the communication parameters, it is by default to 1, so I am not able to change the address 0.

  You can not write directly on the client computer.  However, using cfcontent, that you can prompt the user to open or save the file.

  The solution described by Malcolm works very well and was one of the most common ways to work around the problem of query of a server instead of a client. Sleep inside the service routine is not particularly dangerous as long as the weather is not too big because it will tie up a single thread server. Make the multi-threaded server would allow the server to always treat administrative applications, although in general a server will not be stopped while it is still in query processing. Making small enough sleep time is probably the best thing and the load is still relatively low (tpacall NOREPLY should not take more than 20 microseconds or so CPU time on modern processors.)

  The way this is supposed to work, it's that your main router obtains the DNS server address of an upstream (on the ISP network) server. The wireless access point or router (router in bridged mode) next level gets its the main router DNS addresses. All subsidiary wireless access points get their the next upstream router DNS server address. Your Mac gets these addresses from the router or wireless access point when it gets its IP address.

  It is possible that you may need to turn off all routers, then feed their place in the order of the modem to the outside. But once that happens it is likely to have on them.

  If no joy in doing that, don't use the Admin user on your main router to see what should be these addresses, write them and enter them manually when you need it.

  All address books is a change to TB38 and I think that the loss of the ability to remember what address book you were using is an involuntary change.   When connect us to our network via a cable and boot on LAN of the laptop can not find our DHCP server and so of does not obtain an IP address.

  If we connect to an another laptop\workstation in the same Manor, it works very well.

  All the settings are correct in the BIOS.

  First of all, you should check if the settings of TCP/IP to connect to the local network.
  Network-> properties-> LAN (local area) connections-> TCP/IP-> properties

  Here, you should check if the options for the IP address, DNS are set to obtain automatically.
  In the advanced settings of TCP/IP in IP settings tab active DHCP must be visible.

  In addition, please check if all firewalls do not prevent the laptop to connect to the local network.

  My application processes reading registers a target of Modbus RTU (serial) then for the same iv set up a Modbus IO server which is available at DSC8.6. Lettering communicates well in the meantime real target & LabVIEW PC development but doesnot work on a PC that isn't LV have included RTE8.6 in the Setup program. Im not to use other features of the DSC as security, forest or alarming if have not installed system DSC on the target computer.

  Since you're using the Modbus IO server from the DSC module, you should probably run DSC so.

  If you do not use another feature of DSC, you can try using the Modbus Library and then try to configure the server.

  Don't worry about the model of the printer when you print from.  Is the printer driver which needs to understand where the print job is coming so that he can pass the print stream to the printer.  If the printer driver is not allowed to communicate between the server and your computer, then you must correct this problem first.
