I get a "400 Bad request error" when trying to access Gmail. I am running Firefox 3.6.16. No problem getting to other pages or to get to Gmail via IE (ick).

I am running XP and Firefox 3.6.16. Problem began in the middle of the day, nothing else I can do to that could have triggered it. Have restarted and who does not work either. Does not affect other sites.

This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies.

Try to clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems: Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

The most common cause of a non-accessible i/o error is a disconnected cable. When the computer tries to access a device, and it's no response after several tests, it will generate this error. Another common cause is when a program tries to access a file that has been removed or eliminated.

Disconnected Hard Drive/cable misconfiguration

Internal hard drives require a specific set up. IDE hard disks can have only one master. If another hard drive has its defining together correctly pin code, a user is perhaps not able to access the data, and he will receive a message that the drive are not available. Cables come off inside the case of the computer also cause a not accessible i/o error. The user can correct this problem by opening the case and attach the data cables for each drive safely at the back of each drive and the motherboard.

Test the equipment. If an error is displayed, go to step e.

e. click the general tab and click "Troubleshooting" found in the device status section and then press 'OK '. Follow the prompts to fix the problem. If an error is still displayed, go to step f.

f. click the driver tab and click on 'Update driver'. Follow the instructions until the process is complete and then to test the equipment.

I try to access using the line (by pressing F1) at EMP 11.1.2.3 but I get the following error:
404 - file or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Also, I get this error when trying to install a client tool such as customer of HFM to tools-> Install-> HFM Client for 64-bit.

Administrator account is disabled - system 5 error when trying to access

So I created a user account with administrator rights because I had problems with other accounts of user download of malware and viruses on my computer. Unfortunately, I've changed the password one night when I was very tired and now draws a complete blank on what it might be. Time has passed and I have tried everything I can think enough to know that I'm up a Creek trying to remember this password. After that some searching around, I learned to start safe mode to access the hidden administrator account, which does NOT produce the hidden administrator account. Then I read about access to the cmd as administrator, but that doesn't work either because he asks me the password I don't remember. If I try to run cmd with "net users administrator / Active: Yes", receives a message indicating "system error 5 has occurred, access denied. Same thing if I try to enter "net user *", and then click the password twice to clear it. I know that I have set up with administrator access the user account is different than construction administrator b/c if I go 'lusrmgr.msc' in the search/run box on the start menu, then clicking on 'users' I can see that they are two separate accounts. When I click with the right button on the built in Admin and select Properties, it shows a check in the box "account is disabled". If I uncheck this box, I gives me the error message "access denied." If I try to go the other route and check the "account is disabled" on the user account that I set up with administrator access, I gives me the same error. If I try to delete the setting of administrator group of the user account that I set up with administrator access I'm access denied once again. All this is considered... other ideas or tips? I read somewhere that apparently since I created a user to have admin access, hidden admin is disabled by windows automatically for safety. I really hope this isn't the case! I'm very hesitant to use a tool to reset password to a third party if I have to, but I'm running out of options and it's been months. I appreciate any help, tips, reviews, etc. Thank you!

You cannot administer a computer unless you are an administrator.

The built-in account is disabled if there is another admin account.

There is no way around it, or it would not be safe.

Don't forget the computers are not safe during execution.

I get a must activate windows error when trying to log in. I run windows activation and it is said that the product is already activated, click ok

I reinstall windows xp on an old pc with my xpsp2 cd. I used the key of xp on the sticker and when you restart the computer after the initial installation I got a must activate windows to continue. I went through the process on the phone and typed in a bunch of numbers and then it came up saying that windows is activated. He put me to the login screen, when I click on administrator I always get the must activate windows. When I select ok to activate it comes up saying that I must activate windows and will not let me continue. any ideas on how to solve this problem?

You might be able to solve your immediate problem of the 30-day activation grace period has expired by resetting it. Follow these steps:

1. If the computer can be started in a safe mode command prompt, do.

2. at the command prompt, type this command exactly (space, caps and comma are required):

Rundll32.exe syssetup, SetupOobeBnk

3. restart.

If you did it, your activation grace period will have been reset, giving you more time to work on the problem.

Error when trying to access the microsoft update web site

I am using windows XP Pro. SP3 32-bit (build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100216 - 1514)

I have IE v8.0.6001.18702

When I access the microsoft update web site, I get a message saying that I need to update windows update and I want that allows. No matter what I said or after 30 seconds have elapsed if I do nohting I get the message:
- The instruction at "0 x 08100068" referenced memoery to '0 x 08100068', the memoery could not be "written".
The address is different from one attempt to another, but both are still the same as eachother.

When I close this tab IE grave message box down and I get the message 'recovered tab' normal.

Can I search / install updates using vbscript widely available, or automatic update installation of windows. The problem only occurs when you try to access the web site itself.

I tried to download and install the latest windows update manually, but this does not solve the problem.

I am unaware of the date of the last update because I'm unable to access the update log.

I use a current version of McAfee Anti-virus.

I think my windows is a clean install, but I didn't do it, so I can't be 100% certain.

JQuery + 400 Bad Request
I work with a UI custom, built outside the normal constraints of APEX.

I have a page which returns an array of strings of elements. Each of these comes with several different selections.

Using the string array, I make an ajax call using APEX framework to return several items of data based on this string. I need to return the item id, item name, description of the object and a list of sub elements that have their own IDS, names and descriptions. Then I need to give the user the aiblity to select sub via the radio button and enter a text customized via a text box element.

I use the table that is initially transmitted to generate and return a json string which I'm evaluating client-side and build the user interface based on this javascript object.

This includes the addition of the div tags, radio and text dynamically via jquery areas.

Once I get on this page, all buttons stop working. I read that the APEX did a check of the content of the page and the HTML that is generated dynamically based on javascript, it is originally the 400 Bad request error. Is there a way to get around this?

Is the only time where the error appears when the additional html elements are generated, if none is created, I do not receive an error.

400 bad Request HTTPS on FF 10.0.1, 1o.0.2 vital security Proxy

I use Firefox on W7 in the office. Our company uses a Proxy of vital for Internet access security. After the upgrade from 9.0.1 to 10 FF FF (10.0.2 including), I have problems to access HTTPS sites. The proxy returns the following error message:

It still works without any problem after downgrading of 9 FF or IE, so it's certainly a problem of FF 10.

Update: the problem has disappeared without me changing anything (FF 10.0.2). Most likely, there was a problem with the proxy server itself rejecting valid requests for some reason, may have a problem with the user agent in the filtering rules. So it wasn't a problem in Firefox. Thank you for your support.

Check if the atg_admin.war is present in your ear.

If not then DafEar.Admin module is not picked up correctly and the ear does not correctly.

Try to make the ear using the CIM and not by the runassembler command.

I am running PowerCLI on a Win2k8Ent server, not locally on the vCenter.
Any ideas? Why should he use HTTP? 5.5 and older commands work properly.

It seems that you use vCenter 5.1, is that correct?

Please note that the PAF for PowerShell support is for vCenter 5.5 and higher. Prior to 5.5, the PAF API was not public.

400 bad Request cookies or request header too big nginx - what is the result of the error?

On CNN.com , I get this error when you try to view the video or by clicking on one of their tabs:

400 bad Request
Header too big request or Cookie
Nginx

This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
