I have a psc 1510. How to print a test page everytime I turn it on?
I would like the 1510 PSC DO NOT automatically print a test page everytime I turn on the printer. I don't do a lot of printing, so I don't want to waste paper by the presence of an extra page printed up evry time I want to just print a few pages. Is there a way to disable this test to the start page?
I use the PSC 1510 on a Mac, OS X 10.6.8.
Hi there owen13,
This sounds like the alignment page must be scanned. This article should cover the problem you are experiencing. Give the steps described a shot and tell us if it helps.
Good luck!

Office Jet 6000: cannot find how to print the test page with Office jet 6000
I can't find in the properties of this printer HOW to print a test page. I was running out of ink black, and all color cartridges are rather recent and not on show at low levels. But, after replacing the black cartridge the first doc to test printed came out very uneven and unreadable. There is no error message. How in diagnostics on this printer to test the printing? I tried not to print a doc of color (as photo) yet.
Can I update the driver? Help, please.
Hello
Test print page options under properties of the print driver for your device.
But I don't think that solv your problem.
You must print alignment and another test for correct print quality problems.
Here is the HP site, gives detailed instructions form document.
Good impression

After installing a new printer how to print a test page Windows 7?
After installing a new printer for the operating system Windows 7, right click on the printer icon then properties, there is no choice of test page printed as XP.
See the instructions that came with the printer. It might actually be a button on the printer.

HP officejet pro k550 will not print a test page using the printer buttons.
How to print a test page to make sure that this printer is still operational?
I tried all the instructions release possible jams printer, deleted and reinserted the printheads and clean the rollers. When you press the keys on the front of the printer, it will not print a test page. and no led error display.
The printer has been connected to another computer and stopped working last summer. The printer does not respond to commands from the computer, nor would he respond to the keys on the front of the printer itself. I can get the printhead to move using the controls on the front of the printer, however. The printer is not currently connected to any computer and the nearest computer has not installed the appropriate drivers. Initially the printer is connected to a desktop computer Dell Windows XP (sp 3).
Here's how to print a self-test of the control panel page.

PSC 1350 all prints a test page every time when turned on
After changing the cartridge, we printed test page.
Now, whenever we turn on the printer it prints test page automatically.
How to disable this option?
Thank you
Hello vancat,
If your problem is that your PSC 1350 prints a test page when it is turned on or after every printjob, it is very likely because the cartridge alignment process is not finished. After you have installed a new cartridge in the printer, it will print an alignment page. You must take this page and place it on the scanner glass (make sure that the top of the page is in a good way), then you press the "Scan" button on the printer itself. It will scan the page (that is, read the page) and full alignment process (so it is not scanning in the sense that it sends an image to the computer).
I hope that clarifies the process of alignment slightly.

How can I keep my HP1510 all-in-one to print the test pages as much?
How can I keep my HP1510 all-in-one to print the test pages as much? My printer is connected to my laptop, and it seems that whenever I disconnect, want the printer print a test page when I reboot. I don't know where the option is to disable this option.
Pages are likely alignment pages. When a new cartrdige is installed the printer will print an alignment page which should be placed on the scanner glass and press the button of scan to complete the alignment process. If the alignment is not complete it will repeat when the printer is powered suite or maybe at the end of print jobs.
The alignment page will stop printing when the alignment process is complete. See the page here for more information.

I have; ve reinstalled the software, wireless, everything went through fine. He asked me to remove the USB cable while it printed a test page. But he does not accept printing orders - printer offline. Very frustrating!
So, you have a problem with Picasa. You should contact them.
I also quite what your note 'Wireless' has to do with the question. Maybe it's because you have yet to provide a lot of information...

HP PSC 1402 - stop printing a test page
How the hell can you stop the bloody printer waste by printing a test page whenever it is turned on? I use a mac with os10.6?
Thank you
I found this
Richar J wrote:
This should solve your problemPlease follow exactly and IN ORDER.
1 turn the printer off and wait 10 seconds. Restart
2. let the printer print test page.
3. when the test page prints, unplug the USB cable, the printer connected to your computer. DO NOT turn off the printer, unplug the USB cable.
4. place the test page to the scanner glass, and then press the SCAN button on the printer. The indicator light flashes that the page is being analyzed.
5 remove the test page when the light is fixed.
6. Finally, turn the printer off and wait 10 seconds. Then turn on again. Printing test pages is no longer! Yay!
(You can now reconnect the printer to your computer with the USB cable).

Printer keeps printing a test page after each print document
I have a HP Deskjet 970Cse on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3.
About 2 weeks ago, I was receiving ambiguous messages on the ink levels, for example, saying a cartridge was ink when it was not, and after checking and replacement he told me the other cartridge was bad or empty.
I replaced the cartridges with new and error messages went. To test others, I replaced the previous game and they worked well without empty messages.
Then one day my computer tells me it was installing the HP printer and now I got 2 copies.
I uninstalled the drivers and printers and downloaded the last at HP (the same I was already running years) and now it prints a test page after each print job that is wasting ink. By the print job, I mean it prints a test page once all the documents in the print queue. On the rare occasions that it will print a test between each document but this page is not the standard.
Any help would be appreciated.
Andy, honestly with a printer is 10 years and more, the problem you are experiencing may deal with the age of the device more than anything else. You could try hard-reset of the printer (leaving it unplugged for 20 seconds), but if what you said about the button is true - it is possible that the Board of Directors is signaling the machine to print a test page after each draw by a malfunction at the hardware level.
In this case, maybe it's time for a new printer. If you need help to choose one, there are many solids Deskjets currently on the market from HP that would be a wonderful substitute for this machine.
Let me know and have a great day!
