I have my Toshiba flash drive/Memorystick (same thing or not?) plugged into my computer and it cannot extract to Windows Media Player

I am trying to get all my music in my WMP library, and there is no options to rip anything, but a CD; the previous answer is meaningless for me, because in MY WMP there is nothing that says 'Tools' that I can click on. What Miss me?

Hello

Step 1: You can follow the steps in the previous thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-sound/how-to-transfer-music-from-flash-drive-to-the/9043fd94-f90b-46b0-b3a0-b909639f6d41

To access the toolbar, press Alt, or right click on the arrows at the top of the media player.

Step 2: Alternatively, you can manually copy the files from the disc to the My Music folder and then drag and drop it in the folder my music in the Media Player library.

First, make sure that the netgear device is not a router.  An Extender is very good.  You can't have more than one router in a network.  Also make sure that if you use the router wireless integrated into your modem, the router ONLY in use.

There is a very specific configuration for the Extender.  It should have come with detailed instructions.  If you can't find them, call Netgear for assistance.

FWIW... Win XP cannot natively recognize Commercial

is not a DVD decoder on your Win XP Pro drive.

If you could play before commercial video DVD...
do a system restore to a time before this started

Or you could buy a DVD decoder at the following link:

  • I can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Pro and get this error msg: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

    • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
    • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
    • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
    • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
    • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
    • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
    • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
    • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
    • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
    • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive

    the parameters.

  • Flash Player similar to Windows Media Player

    Hello

I try to upgrade to Adobe Flash Player, but it wouldn't let me install it. He always says that I have to uninstall old versions first.

But I can't find older versions. All I can find is Adobe Windows Media Player. Is it the same? What do I need to uninstall

This in order to install Flash Player?

    Thank you

    Tanja

Hi, always use the Flash Player uninstaller before installing the latest version. Download and SAVE to your desktop.  http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/141/tn_14157.html

Then go to this troubleshooting guide and make sure that your settings are correct and follow the suggestions that apply.

Find manual installers and use one or both, depending on what you need. Download and SAVE to your desktop.

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/191/tn_19166.html

You must use the administrator account, close all browsers, disable all applications (see the system tray) that use Flash (such as Messenger services). Launch the uninstaller and when finished, restart your computer. Then run the installation program (s), and then restart.

Windows Media Player is Microsoft. You may also need to Adobe Media Player. Not the same thing. Flash Player is different from the one of the people. Only, you want to uninstall Flash Player and install the new version.

    Hope this helps,

  • Windows media player I can't find a way to remove photos, or download it to a flash drive

I have a bunch of pictures I want to get off Windows Media Player and I can't figure out how do it.

The best would be to go into your folder of photos where the photos are actually saved.

In fact, when you are in Windows Media Player, you can select (highlight)
a file and choose in the menu "open file location".

The following steps may be worth a try:

Once you have accessed the right folder... Select the photos you want to add to
    the flash player.

The group selected (highlighted) right click and choose... Copy.

Reach... Start button / computer... your USB should be recognized
    with a drive letter.

Right-click on the drive letter that represents the flash drive and choose... Dough.

Right click on the selected group of photos and the menu another option...
    choose... Send to / {select the drive corresponding to the Flash drive letter}

    The Photos must transfer.

  • Having trouble getting Windows media player to recognize and extract some burned CD when I insert the CD, nothing comes up on the tab extract. I have licenses for all the protected songs and the same CD was ripped in the past by using media player.

My computer has a virus and before I wiped it's own, I copied all my files to blank CD I was able to extract these CDs on my computer but they are in the WMA format and I want them in MP3 format. I changed the rip settings but when I put in the CD Ripper re - it, nothing comes tab extract. I tried to delete all the files in windows media player and my computer but media player doesn't always recognize the CD tab extract. I have restored my music files from the bin to WMA, but I really need to extract the songs in MP3 format. What can I do to get Windows to recognize and tear my CD? Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!

Make sure that there is no CD in the CD drive. Then, go to Options - confidentiality of WMP and click the button Clear the Caches . Restart WMP, and insert a CD you want to re - rip. Are you able to rip the CD now?

If it still does not work, you can try to rip the CD from another user account (if necessary, create a new user account in the control panel). Afterwards, you can move the files ripped to MP3 to your own original account. Tim Baets
