I have no volume on my la\ptop

No volume on my laptop

Hello

Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

http://h30642.www3.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59501-60000/sp59852.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, stop the laptop - it by holding down the button SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

Kind regards

Method 2: I also suggest to run a full system scan using Microsoft Security Scanner and check if the computer is infected with the virus.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • I have a volume display menu tha are unable to go in... Ontario

The monitor... hp2207h... has a volume menu that won't go away... any help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you...

    Hello @maplepark1,

I understand that your HP 2207 h LCD screen displays the volume and it will not go away. I provided you with a few steps, you can try below:

Step 1. Unplug the power cord at the back of the screen and the wall

Step 2. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute

Step 3. Plug the power cable in the monitor, and then to the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)

Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor

Step 5. Navigate to the factory reset option and select

If the steps above did not resolve your issue, you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the problem persists. If not I think it would be preferable that you contact HP Support for service options.
