  This error message is a bit misleading. What happened is that CS5 that was issued before the "custodian" is not "signed" and installation is blocked because it is considered to be "unreliable".

  Solution: Temporarily set to "Everywhere" and then open the dmg file.

  A few years ago, I bought Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium edition for mac OS. It worked fine on my old mac. I bought a new laptop and looked at how to transfer. I was directed to download the copy on the web then put my serial number.

  I downloaded it without problem (DesignWebPremium_CS6_LS16.dmg), but as soon as I try and install I get the message

  The Creative Suite 3, I think that was intended for Mac OS 10.4 at the present time, we are on a 10.8, which I think must have your new iMac. As it is not tested on this operating system (because it is not released then) I wouldn't recommend your to install because you could face question in the future as well.
