  So my friend visited our place and I noticed that he uses his Blackberry 9320 with Globe unlimited BIS Plan for internet tethering in his laptop. It works perfectly fine. And so I used their BB device on our PC and I got the same error as posted above. I then connected his 9320 BB to his laptop (with same Blackberry Desktop Software installed) and it started to work again very well. So, I also tried my BB 9360 on his laptop computer and internet endearing worked!

  
  

  What I've been through, I guess that the problem is not related to the BB Desktop Software I use plan or service that I currently have with my carrier. Obviously, the problem is due to a problem of incompatibility somehow.

  My HP Photosmart all-in-one (which is only a few months old) stopped communicating with my router Netgear DGN1000 Adsl a few days before Christmas.

  Instead of the 192.168.0.9 ip address that he used before I turned off the router, ITI is back with an address of 169.254.249.128; 'Source setup' = 'Auto ip "; a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0; and default gateway 0.0.0.0. I know that they are bad, so I tried a fixed ip address to 192.168.0.201, a SM 255.255.255.0; and a DG 192.168.0.1; It was OK, but the next day, returned to the auto ip settings.

  I finally managed to contact HP and the guy spent 75 minutes with me trying to restore things and finally the village that the Netgear router did not have access to the printer via certain ports (which he sent me a list of) and something he said that I had to tell my ISP (Virgin media) "FLOOD DETECTION SET to OFF" & "SP1 FIREWALL SET TO OFF.

  Communicating with VM, they were insistent that their router was not at fault - they could open ports 12 or so, at a cost to me of 60 pounds! (I refused this)

  HP told me how to set up for printing Ad Hoc (bypassing the router), who had worked during our tests.

(I would have rather found a final breakdown) I have all other routers, I could try, or I could open ports, but my question is - if I had need of these open ports and other settings (detection of flooding etc.) why the work of the printer for the first few weeks I had it implemented, and why turn off the router caused these issues? (Assume that I need in the future - to turn off the router happens)

  As you mentioned, the printer came back with a style 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address. This is normally produced when the device is not able to get a full connection with the router, router it gives an internal IP address.
  
  Normal suggestion when a printer continues to maintain a connection is to assign a static IP address. This is done by using the manual IP functionality, you've talked about using. This locks the device to the network settings, and even when the network is restarted the information is preserved. This should be the solution to the issue.

  OK, there are a lot of problems I have with my computer, most involving internet explore version 7 on Windows Vista home basic. He start as a graphic and videos not playing does not and could not download anything it, kept getting error messages. So I thought it might be a virus. So I reformatted my computer back to factory settings. I installed McAfee Antivirus Plus 2010, he ran, he came with nothing. Go back on internet explorer, it became worse. Now, when I hear myself first of all, it appears "internet explore cannot display webpage"-incidentally there nothing wrong with my internet connection at all - I have to update it about 5 - 10 times to show him half a page readable with photos showing only no graphics cut St) he's can't download anything it either cannot play videos etc. I tried to disable add-ons not better.   After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

  May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

  Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

  Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

  Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

  Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

I don't really know what is happening. Can someone help me with this?
