  Have you checked the updates for your add ons after update to Thunderbird. Each new version of Thunderbird is a matching version of lightning. Looks like you have not upgraded the lightning.

  We went from DSL to FIOS. As a result, I received a new email address, but arranged with Verizon to use my original lequipetv.fr e-mail address. I had no access to mail the original account for several weeks after the conversion to FIOS. For some reason, at that time, that I've updated Thunderbird, the original e-mail address and the password were no longer recognized by Verizon. After working with them, they were able to restore access. But then, later that day, I was unable to open a session. Back to Verizon... went through the same procedure and got things restored again. It has been a few days now. If all goes well, it will continue to do so indefinitely.

  I have updated to the latest version of Java, when the plugin Mozilla page indicated he was overwhelmed yesterday. Usually, I don't have a problem when I download and update. In this case, it went well and I rechecked the Java Web site and it says that I have the currently installed version, which is Version 7 update 51. Even where you are going to uninstall/install programs correctly there like my page add-on that shows I did yesterday as well. My Avast antivirus shows that it is the new version too. After I rebooted the Mozilla plugin page is still saying it is not updated.

  I have updated Java on 16/04/14, but when I tried to access a site it says that I need a plug-in. I'm gone "modules" & found that my Java plug-ins have been exceeded, & I also read the page of 'vulnerability' confusing on Mozilla. He did nothing to help, as he said some show plugins Java upward as vulnerable, but they are not really... because I'm not technically savvy, I have NO idea what that means!

  Will someone please tell me how to upgrade my plugins for Firefox 28.0 Java so I'll be able to view the Web site, I tried to see for 2 days?
  I went to the site of Java & when I run the 'check' tool version it says that I have already installed the latest version. If that's the case, why not not my Firefox Java Plug-ins updated, too?

• All messages have disappeared from Thunderbird Inbox.

  All of my emails have disappeared from Thunderbird Inbox. "Sent" and "Trash" messages are OK. I tried to delete the file "Inbox.msf", as some have suggested, then restarted TB, but the mailbox is still empty. My messages are apparently still in the "Inbox" file (under 'profile'), but all the gobblety-gook with loads of codes and numbers. I copy all of this mess, but don't have a clue how it back in my Inbox and make it readable. Can anyone help?
