When I turn on my pc, it takes a long time to connect to the network, however when I'm finally connected. I still can't get online, I have to unplug and re - plug my Ethernet cable from my router, or go in network card, enable and then disable it (although sometimes it works on the other hand, for example I turn off and then turn it on). I suggest to start the computer in Mode safe mode with network and check whether you are faced with the same question. If the problem does not occur in Mode safe mode with networking you perform the clean boot to find what service or startup item is causing the problem.

Step 1:
Start the computer using safe mode with networking.

(a) remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer.
(b) If your computer has an operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts.
(c) you need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
(d) if the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutdown and restart your computer.
(e) in the display Advanced Startup Options, use the arrow keys to Select the safe mode with network option, and then press enter.
(f) log your computer with a user with the administrator of rights account.

Step 2:
If the issue happen not in Mode safe mode with networking, try to set up your computer in a clean boot state and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

    Models of Compaq C700 with Atheros AR5007.

    I tried the latest adapter driver for my Compaq site specific model. The pilot, which is planned for the model, has not solved the problem. However, I still watched the pilot for the adopter with "Atheros AR5007" as a keyword and finally found the driver that was updated in 2010, although that provided for different models of the Compaq site.

    Once the new driver has been applied, my PC works fine now.

  • Satellite Z930 - suspend the problem with connected USB hard drive

    Owner of a newly acquired Satellite Z930-15 X, I have a few questions/problems:

    1) suspends the work of RAM and good hibernation when there is no external hard drive connected. If there is one is connected, the laptop immediately returns back to suspend state. Is there a solution for this?

    (2) is there a way to selectively disable Bluetooth? Currently, only toggle airplane mode is available (with Fn + F8 or Windows 8 charm bar). This activates / deactivates the Wi - Fi or Bluetooth I think.

    (3) the portable computer is wobbly on reception. I put a bit of thin paper at the corner of a bottom (bottom left) so that it can be stabilized. Apparently, the problem is also mentioned in another thread. Is there a suggestion to fhix this problem?

    2 / I ve tested it on my machine and I noticed the same thing. When WIFI is disabled software BT is off too. I didn t find a way how to separately control adapter WLAN and BT.

    3 / I think that this issue needs to be clarified with Toshiba service. They must check and perhaps exchange rubbers inside.

  • I have the problem with connecting new gen 3 ATV to my wifi network.  This device must be used for the TV on the floor.  I have a GEN 3 oldest device installed in TV downstairs. I followed the instructions but does not connect.

    I just bought new gen 3 ATV.  Must be installed in the TV upstairs.   Unable to connect to the Wifi network.   I followed the instructions for the installation, the network is OK for other devices.  Have more older gen 3 ATV TV downstairs in the operation.    Is there a problem to have 2 ATV on the same network, or am I missing something?

    I am pleased to have the Apple TV on my TV as well and have a up and down.  Both work well, is not a problem having both on the same network.

    After going through the normal installation process, I would recommend then walk through this article.

  • Can not solve the problems of connection with Wifi (Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205) card

    The card Wifi on my X 220 (Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205) gave me so much trouble, I'm about to give up on this and buy another laptop.

    In general, the connection to any hotspot Wifi in any location is quite unreliable. It looks like it is connected for a while.

    And several times a day, sometimes several times per hour, I have to go to the Intel Wifi connection utility and click "Repair" to force the card to renew the IP address. This resets the connection and run for awhile again until I do more.

    In recent weeks, I tried everything I could think of. I uninstalled the drivers, installed the latest drivers from the Lenovo Web site, then tried those on the Intel site. Those who are a little more reliable, but the problem persists.

    If the drivers of card/can't be fixed, is there a chance to get Wifi to work again if I buy another Wifi card and install it? Should which card I try? Can be installed without sending it to Lenovo?

    Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. Thank you!


  • Updates of windows installed and now unable to get online with the Explorer.

    I am running windows vista and installed updates and now cannot get online.  I tried to run the system restore, but that did not help.  This happened once before when the only web sites that I could access were secure web sites, I have changed the security settings and that fixes the problem.  Nothing works for now.

    I'll get more info from my computer at home tonight and add to that tomorrow.

    If not help to tweak the parameters of your third-party firewall, try the following:

    1. disable your antivirus, all modules of Norton (as applicable), a real-time protection provided by an anti-spyware application (with the exception of Windows Defender; includes the Tea Timer of Spybot, AVG AS guard.exe, SpySweeper guards, etc.), disable the third-party firewall AND THEN select Windows Firewall.

Windows Update | Installed updates day & reboot.

    3 d - c #1 above.

    4 manually run Windows Update and install important updates available (i.e. KB976325).

    5 reboot & make sure everything in #1 above is on again and, if necessary, disable the Windows Firewall and enable (or reinstalling) your third-party firewall.

  • XP is connected to the wireless network but can't get online...

    I have a wireless network that works very well with my computer laptop and desktop so its punt in Mac OS, but when I boot XP, it cannot get online. He sees the network and says I'm connected but IE and Firefox keep the display of error messages telling me that they can't connect. If I click on the icon of repair under wireless network connection settings, it would loop forever in the IP address area you are looking for.     If you are connected your computer must be able to connect to the menus wireless router and have an IP address valid (169 . xx.xx.xx isn't a valid IP address).

  • Make the problem - CS4 / Ext Drive (G-Tech) disassemble cause

    I'm working on the project in Premiere Pro CS4. My work drive GTech G-RAID (1 TB) opportunity coming down without warning while I'm editing in the body. When this happens, all my sequences that have been previously released (15 +) become not rendering.

    Is there a way to fix this (all already made the rendered sequences) without having to make all the footage again.

    Hmmm, I honestly don't know if you can do it. When you set up your scratch disk location is the number of the disk and directory... .so if you change the location, I guess you would have to give this the same drive letter and have the exact same file and the path to this folder.

    If you have another post HD that you can assign the same letter than you are having problems with you may try, but, I don't have much hope for this work really... Sorry, I've never tried.

    At least if you have changed the locations of the scratch disk to a good internal drive, you must only deal with coating once?
