  4. in the drop-down menu, select "32-bit ISO."

  I bought this new Pavilion P7 - 1227C at Costco so that I can install Windows Server 2008 r2 with Hyper-V role

  I managed to install Windows 2008 server but unable to t the wireless or ethernet to work.  I tried to use the driver 64 bit Windows 7 without success.

  I think return Costco if I can't get the network driver that will work with Windows 2008 Server R2

  Thanks for the link, I was able to download AR816X_V.0.14.15_WHQL.

  The driver works for Windows 2008 Server R2.  I just need to find the drivers for the wireless card.

• My new HP Pavilion has not been tested for Windows 8. Why not?

  My Windows 7 HP Pavilion, model 520-1040 with a touchscreen was sold to me in July by Harvey Norman - as well as advice that it was designed in preparation for Windows 8.

  Today on the HP site I checked for more information on the upgrade to Windows 8.

  After I entered the product number of the computer, QU392AA #ABG, I received the message that "HP has not tested this PC" and told me that if I switch to Windows 8, I can lose nombreauses & stability.

  The models tested HP and drivers for computers built after seven of 2011. It sounds as if your model has been built in this period (even if the model you provided pulled up a touchsmart). When Windows 8 release, make sure to run Windows Update after installation. Windows Update provides drivers and firmwire provided to Microsoft by the manufacturer.

  You can find out if 3D driveguard is installed by going to Device Manager, click to expand the category of peripheral system and then look for the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor.

  If you see the device listed, then you should be fine.

  If you want to update the driver, here is the latest...

  There is NO right to downgrade to Vista Home Premium or Basic

  you will need to BUY XP from somewhere: computer store, eBay, etc.

  This model is quite old and has been supported for Win7. I can just say... no luck. A lot of older machines may well work with newer operating systems, but they are not officially supported.

  What should do? Try to check if the drivers, tools and utilities for a newer machine with similar hardware can be used on your laptop Satellite A.

  I had the similar problem in the past with Vista and no supported Win7.
