• Classic i - pod, i-tunes not recognized not

  plugged the iPod on a Mac Classic.  Naturally, it erases all the music on the iPod. However, none of the music on the Mac was recorded on the ipod.  The monitor of playback for music stated, 'no music'.  Then, to make matters worse, when I plugged the ipod into my PC, it has not copied anything from the computer.  I went to devices on the drop of i-tunes, but the iPod does not appear as a device.  At one point, I got a warning to the effect that the iPod was corrupt.  I tried to reset by pressing the menu and select button, got the picture of the Apple, but still i-tunes does not recognize the device.  I tried this on another PC, that I have before at the end.  Same result.   Don't know what that means "naturally"...  If iPod was already associated with your Windows computer's iTunes library and you connected to your Mac, it shouldn't erase the iPod unless specifically can you tell iTunes Sync music library iTunes to Mac or do a restore (to erase the iPod).  Since that it has been deleted (probably with a restoration), after the restoration, the iPod uses the manually manage music and videos by default.  It still "synchronizes" but nothing is loaded onto the iPod.

  If you are planning that iTunes to automatically sync your music library on iPod, you assign to Sync music.  Find the iPod touch device in iTunes.  Here is a screenshot of the upper left corner of my window in iTunes, iPod button circled in red

  

  Click this button to display the settings of the iPod summary screen in the iTunes window.  Along the left side, in the sidebar, under settings, click on music.  To the right, the music from the iPod settings screen.  Check the box to Sync music.

  NOTE: All of the songs on the iPod that are are not in your iTunes library (on computer) will be lost.

  This enables automatic synchronization.  You can choose to synchronize the entire music library (if it fits) or a part of the selection .  Set up this screen as desired, then click apply to sync.  Further, iTunes automatically keeps iPod "in phase" with the changes to your music library (or the selected part of it) when you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected).

  NOTE: If your iPod is currently "corrupt", you will need to do a restore of the iPod in iTunes, before you can set it up to Sync music.  The restore button is on the settings of the iPod summary screen in iTunes.  Use any computer you plan to use with the iPod, to proceed to the restore.

  Embedded iPod software is the same, the only difference is how, the iPod's hard drive is formatted for Mac or Windows.  And do a restore on the iPod in iTunes, it's how the iPod software is reinstalled.

  A USB port is provided with your iPad? Or are you referring to the cable?

• HR HTML: Missing file in topic list Pod

  I'm working in HR HTML with a colleague on stations work separate, but using a CMS. Basically, extract us all the HR files in a local folder and archive them in the CMS for storage/backup.

  My colleague has changed a name of topic (with its HTML file name) in HR (via the Properties section) and transferred to the CMS. When I downloaded the file (with the new file name) of the MSC in my local HR folder, the following occurred when I tried to insert a link from another topic on the (new) subject:

  (1) the Hyperlink dialog box still had the old name of topic, but when I clicked on the preview pane is empty.

  (2) the new topic seemed quite in the Hyperlink dialog box or the pod of the list of topics.

  I imported the file/subject using file > import, which solved the problem. But I recall a file that uses HR to manage topics. I think you can remove it and HR it generate automatically when you open a project. Anyone know the name of the file?

  There is the PCD file, which is a temporary database with information on the project. This includes a list of topics. The list of topics is stored in the *.fpj file in your project directory. If a topic is missing, but all the links are still there, one of the *.fpj files has been corrupted.

• Characters Czechs corrupt in the Table of contents

  I'm working on a project large enough help in Czech. This isn't something that I started from scratch, I took during a colleague who recently left our company, so I don't know much about how it was done.

  The project is made of 3 elements, resulting in 3 CHMS which are then copied into the same folder with other CHM using some sort of algorithm.

  Once all of these files (CHMS 4 in total) are copied to the folder Help software, they are shown as a component only when you click the button in the software - which means that you see a table of contents complete with chapters of each 3 files).

  The problem is when I compile the individual CHMS, I get the message " " "characterparameters HTML help a not supported for the selected language. Do you want to continue? »

  If I continue, the file is compiled and when I open it, the table of contents seems ok. However, when I copy with the other files and open in the software (a program of type CAD) some characters are replaced with something else:

  
  

  I use Robo help 10 and the police in the files is Verdana. I read on another thread than the police could be the problem, but I don't know how to change in all files (except perhaps to Internet Options in the chm directly?)

  My regional settings are also defined in Czech when I compile the file, so it shouldn't be a problem. However, whenever I compile, I get this message and corrupt characters are displayed using the software.

  Can anyone help with this?

  I use RH 9.

  From my experience, namely character such problems can sometimes more an art than a science. This is what it looks like anyway.

  A few issues involved can be:

  1. Language for non-unicode programs office must match the output of the Control Panel, in the dialog box language and region , on the administration tab, make sure that the language of non-unicode programs is set to the target language.
  2. Language settings in RoboHelp - under file | Project settings, ensure that you have set the language in HR in Czech for all projects. In addition, in the pod of single Source Layouts, right-click on the output and choose Properties in the drop-down list, and language , make sure that it is set in Czech.
  3. Encoding of characters in the file itself - open the file (in this case .hhc) within a text editor like Notepad ++ and in menu coding , check its character encoding. By experience, it must be on encode them in UTF-8 encode in UTF-8 without BOM.
  4. Character encoding in the tag XML - also in Notepad ++, check the coding in the first tag line 1. My hhc file that we translated into Czech, it is set to

• RH10 corrupts links bookmark text to drop down link menu

  I noticed that when upgrading from RH9 RH10 to projects, RH10 will corrupt (for example, 'Broken Link') all bookmarks on a drop-down text link. For example, I have a head to "Change the status in PowerFlow" which, when clicked, drops drop a piece of text. The head is also included as a bookmark, "Changing_the_Status_in_PowerFlow."

  It worked perfectly in RH9 and I tested the upgrade to RH10 several times with the exact same result. Bookmarks not associated with the drop-down list text are not affected. Note the three links broken MM-4000, with drop-down lists; There is a fourth bookmark, not associated with a link from the drop down menu, which is accessible:

  

  RH10 inserts a "#" in the bookmark link, producing a 'file name is invalid. Error cannot use the character ' # ' in a way. ».   I downloaded the project file and considered the question. The question is very precise, just to make other people aware, the question, if you create a DHTML (drop-down list or expansion) text, and then on the DHTML text you apply the bookmark, and then upgrade the project to RH10, the bookmark does not appear.

  The same is the case, if you create a new project in RH10 and add bookmark to DHTML text, then bookmark does not appear in the pod project mgr.

  You must follow these steps

  • Download the script file.
  • Open RoboHelp project, click View > pod > explore script
  • in the Script Explorer, right-click and select Import and select the downloaded script file.
  • Take backup of your project where is DHTML.
  • Open the project, open the pod of the script Explorer, right-click on the new script file and select run.
  • the script will fix the entire project and all bookmarks will begin to function properly.

  The script is just a workaround, until the time engineering team RoboHelp resolves this problem.

  I understand that you have downloaded macOS Sierra, but are not able to install it, because you are told that the download was corrupted. In a situation like this, the next step would be to remove existing installation application download and re - download.

  If the list of songs from iPod (as shown in iTunes) is grayed out, it probably means you are using automatic synchronization (setting synchronization music ) to load songs on iPod.  When you use the Auto-Sync, iTunes syncs iPod "" with your library iTunes. You can not directly access songs on the iPod.  This is why they are greyed out.

  Songs on iPod should be in your iTunes library.  To listen to this song in iTunes, find it in your music library and play from there, not from your iPod.
