i365 Rubber Ducky antennas install

Can someone tell me how or who will do it for me?

Thank you

TheBat

Once you have the "rubber ducky" antenna, it is easy to change, and you do NOT have to disassemble the phone. Basically, I stuck two links where you can buy replacement i325 antenna, which fits very well (and might even be the same part number for the i365 anyway).

A place where lighting is good (or use a flashlight), pull up the antenna (extendable) factory completely and look down into the socket. You should see a black ring on the sides of the socket and a shiny metal bottom of the socket. Look carefully at the black ring, note there are two shallow vertical grooves in the side walls of the black ring. (see photo below)

Get a screwdriver flat blade which fits perfectly into these slots, so the blade just a little bit more closely that the slots so you can adapt it to all the way to the bottom of the socket. Align the flat blade with two slots and tilt the screwdriver just a bit, so you get solid and wedging between the driver & slots action. (see photo below) Don't jam the pilot too hard, you could destroy the phone, or you could make it more difficult to unscrew the extendable antenna if you push too hard on the side.

While practice moderate pressure downward and into one of the slots in the side wall (i.e. pushing down to the angle of the pilot), upgrade the driver slowly and watch to make sure that the black ring turns with the screwdriver. If it is not running, you will need to find a better fit screwdriver, or push a little harder if the blade digs a little more in the black plastic ring, so you can ask enough torque on the ring to unscrew.

Once you have the ring completely unscrewed, you will see an insert threaded brass at the bottom of the antenna Jack if the i365 (see photo below). Just pass your new antenna in the threaded hole, grasp the base of the antenna rubber with the tips of the fingers and tighten completely.

BTW, I was able to buy the real Motorola OEM part of CPR technology to this site:

http://www.nexnow.com/Nextel-I325-antenna.html

I couldn't find under the i365 accessories, but one that matches the i325 seems to be the same piece, and mine installed easily and works very well.

I didn't buy anything on the following Web site, but here is another Web site that has what they claim is OEM quality replacement antennas. I have no reason to doubt them, but can personally testify for them:

http://yesofcourse.com/i325replacementantennaoem.aspx

Here are some photos that could help clarify the instructions above.

Good luck!

  • i365 with rubber antenna

I apologize in advance if this question has already been addressed (I'm new here).

I read here & here that "rubber duck" antenna on the i365 only increases the signal nor the antenna reception foldable stock when it is extended. I do not pretend, but I find that hard to believe.

Does anyone have a real and actual experience with the i365 comparing the real signal with the antenna reception folding stock extended compared to the rubber duck antenna?

No solid info and will be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    -iDENrocks

Well, I can answer my own question now. The answer is Yes, the i365 with fixed antenna of rubberized performs much better at holding calls and holding them clearly from the antenna expandable stock.

I tested my new i365 with rubber duck antenna in social areas in California and Maine, and she played even better than I hoped it might.

I also compared side-by-side with my i580 to CA and the i365 with antenna fixed, rubberized holds calls significantly better than the i580 in the areas of signal low iDEN.

  • Change the frequency of the antenna

    Hello

I hope I can get a quick answer on this forum with an understandable explanation...

I have a wireless router that runs on 802.11, and I'm trying to change the frequency at which it runs on. I'm sure this is possible, but I didn't really know how this can be done.

Change the frequency would be easier than to change the antenna, or should a work be done on the circuit board. I realize it may void my warranty, but it is a computer science for my school project.

Can I leave the router alone completely and just mess with the firmware in a sort of way?

    You mean regional wireless network?

Forget it. He needs the hardware changes. The radio of the BEF is a 2.4 GHz radio. Definitely, there is no way to set this radio to a different frequency outside this band.

You will need to replace the piece of the radio, antennas, install a custom firmware with a driver for the new piece and customize the firmware to manage the necessary settings for the new radio.

You will need to check in another forum for help with this. This forum does not cover this type of topics.

But I want to get my hopes up. I think that the BEF does not use standard linux in its firmware. So you won't get any firmware except the official for the BEF. So you will get the source code for the firmware needed to recompile the firmware in order to add your new driver.

So basically, I would say that what you do is impossible, unless you are able to build your own firmware from scratch.

  • design of huge cell MIMO 3 x 3 using splitters and antenna external omni

    Hello

    The requirements are the following:

Offers complete coverage for a basement.

Maximum number of users competitor is between 5-10

    VoIPoWlan

    Low bandwidth

In the basement is distinguished from corridors and technicrooms isolated by thick walls brick and metal doors.

In order to ensure full cogerage voip would require a large number of AP they are quire expensive and high flow is not required.

Is it a good idea to use only a few AP with dividers and external antennas?

    For example:

    1 x dual band AP 3 x 3 mimo

3 x dispatchers dual band, each of them has 3 output ports

    3 dual-band 3 x 3 mimo antennas 2 omni and a directional

The basement has 2 rooms and a corridor.

Each of the rooms has an omni antenna installed, corridor has one directional.

    Antennas are connected by separators.

Given that the cable lengths are not the same, I may need to use amplifiers also. Is this correct?

What about the problem of the node that is hidden, when 2 wlan stations are connected to the same access point can not hear each other?

This cell can be huge. I gave a small example, but in our project, we need cover a basement of a square that contains many rooms and corridors. Obviously, you must use several AP + combos splitter basically repeat this small example, I gave.

The main goal is to save money by reducing the number of AP and switches. We did the sitesurvey we found that 40-45 AP is needed. My idea is to use up to 10 AP + battery separator.

Has anyone done a similar deployment?

    The disadvantages?

    Thank you!

    István

MIMO radios are filled with a lot of very complex mathematics.  It phase shifts handels, changes of time, reflections, roaming, etc..  You are wanting to fundamentally change the design of their operation.

    It will be terribly.

If it were me, I would correctly, based on the your wireless site survey, or not at all.  I don't want to be associated with a design that works badly.  I would walk first of employment.  But that's me.

It is your reputation and your choice.

  • No GPS solid does difficulty (Iphone 6 IOS 9.3.5)

On my iPhone with IOS 9.3.5 6 does not have GPS. Navigation applications do not work because the GPS has an accuracy of 100 m or more. I got a new GPS antenna installed to get rid of the problem, but it doesn't seem to be the problem. So, probably, it's a software problem? The strange thing is a moment, it seems that the gps has a good fix, the other time the accuracy went (up to 1,000 m or more?). I don't understand? More people with this kind of problem?

iPhones use "assisted GPS" for a location more precise. This means that data GPS are combined with the relay antenna, Wi - Fi and Bluetooth same known places. If these are not available, the accuracy will be lower.

Also note that the GPS requires at least 12.5 minutes to get a location. It's time to get the signal of two satellites. Three would be much better.

  • 802. 11a for Qosmio G20-126 wireless?

I have read the product manual and the laptop seems to have at least documentation in favour after having been cleared for use on 802. 11A.

My question is, is he a 5 GHz antenna, installed in the laptop and is it possible to change the map of Intel Pro Wireless 2200bg for the most recent map of 2195ABG Intel Pro Wireless instead?

I really need since the community I live 30 wireless networks in a short range and all channels are blocked by routers at low prices which tend to cause collisions on the 2.4 Ghz band. I wouldn't want a book this wonderful and did not what I feel is almost standard feature in expensive laptops today.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Well, I found the information that this device supports WiFi standard 802. 11 b/g.
Moreover, I found the information in the user manual which has the characteristics of radio wireless LAN cards can vary in function:
-/region of the country where the product was purchased
    -product type

Wireless LAN networking products have been designed to operate in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, local radio regulations strip can impose a number of limitations to the use of wireless communication equipment.

In my opinion, you should try this card if it works. If this isn't the case, you can return this card to your local dealer.

In addition, please consult the manual of the user-> Appendix C

  • HP ENVY laptop - 15-k220nr: upgraded wireless HP ENVY laptop-15 k220nr.

    Hello

My laptop came with Intel AC card 3160 WiFi, but it is buggy and fall on and outside. I think of him replacing Intel AC 7260, which should be better.

    http://www.Amazon.com/Intel-7260-HMWG-R-Wireless-AC-Bluetooth-mounting/DP/B00MY9S692/ref=sr_1_1?IE=U...

They are the same size, I don't know if there will be a few problems or not if I do this? In addition, the led are compatible? I get full speed AC1200?

    Thank you

I can now confirm that the adapter Intel Wireless AC7260 sector works PERFECTLY in a HP Envy 15t, specifically an HP Envy 15-k220nr (4720MQ plant, 8 GB of Ram, Intel i7 installed Intel Wireless 3160 adapter).  It works with Windows Pro 10 x 64 great - I can't speak for Windows 7/8/8.1 that I updated before installing (which I recommend), but I expect that it works on Windows 8/8.1 for sure and probably on Windows 7 without problem.

I bought the card on Amazon; the model is "Intel network 7260.HMWG. R' - the. R is important because it is a revised version of the chip with improvements on the original.  It is, by the Intel reports, the same card SKU 7260.HMWWB. R - different SKUS simply represent different packages.  Check it out at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MV3N7UO

At the time I did, the cost of the card was $26.50.  It is a Mini PCIe card, which is the type of the computer used.

It's a surprisingly simple upgrade.  I have simply shut down my computer, which has been already upgraded to Windows Pro 10.  As with all facilities, follow control measures for static (white room, wrist band), that screws follow-up go where (easier in this case because they are mostly identifcal when disassembly of the machine) and general practices for the maintenance of a system.  I would not recommend this upgrade is done by an amateur - it's a more complex installation, since you need to access the motherboard and remove the housing rather than simply to open a port on the underside of the computer.  That said, for having to open the base unit, it is a process very easy (relatively speaking) with this laptop.  It is useful that the repair is very complete.  Be careful, because if you are not an authorized service provider and your computer is under warranty, you may void your warranty by opening the machine.  In addition, don't forget to keep the old card to allow you to reinstall and restore your computer to care factor if you need to send in warranty repair or want to sell it but keep the new card.

It took my about 20 minutes to take it apart, install, test and go back.  Before you BEGIN, download the new drivers, you'll need - HP drivers are working, great and I always go with the current manufacturer on the OEM drivers drivers when possible because they are often optimized for the system.  You can also download download.intel.com drivers, but I would recommend get the driver WLAN wireless network current HP download page (http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-15-Notebook-PC-series/7527530/model/7685078#...).  This card, looking for the same drivers regarding the AC-3160 card because they use the same drivers.  Download the TWO the WLAN and Bluetooth drivers - to date, the drivers have been updated on 15/10/15 and are:

    • Bluetooth of Intel driver, version 18.1.1525.1470 [email protected]
    • Intel Wireless Driver, version 18.12.0.3 Rev.P

After downloading the drivers, put them on your desktop or somewhere else easy access that you will need them as soon as you restart the installation and the wireless NOT work initially, following so if you do not have the drivers you have given to get them through a wired connection or another computer.

I disassembled the machine by the Service Manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04510889).  Remove the battery and basic housing, disconnect the cables in water for the fingerprint sensor, the mouse and the keyboard and back on top of the basic coverage and put it against the monitor.  BE CAREFUL - this shifts the center of gravity of the computer and makes the computer to tip backward as I learned when I got mine from flipping back off of the table, I was working on - just be careful.

After opening to the top of the enclosure, installation is incredibly simple.  The WLAN card is located at the back of the computer to the Middle - back where the hinges of the screen connect computer, centered between them.  You just pop off the two wireless antennas (YES - this laptop, despite the expedition with AC only 1 x 1 wireless card options, IT has two antennas installed at the factory, so it can support fully a card 2 x 2), then remove the screw from the card in place.  The map is displayed; bring him back (help little fingers - I have big hands and it was difficult because card is pressed against the back of the case) and pop out.  Insert the new card, tap it down, screw and reattach the antennas, making sure that the wire connected to the 'hand' on the original card is connected to the 'hand' on the new map, and the wire of "to THE" relates to "to THE.  On my computer, the black wire is the main antenna, the gray wire was the second antenna.

If you're like me, after installation, you can set reconnect the keyboard/mouse/finger print sensor and reboot the machine before screwing everything together to make sure it works.   Just be careful if you do this.  When you restart, wireless will not work.  Run the installation programs for the drivers that you downloaded at the beginning of the year - I found install the dirver wireless, then bluetooth driver works better.  After installation and reboot, everything should work fine, including bluetooth.  I have had absolutely no problem with everything to work.

Now the fun part: performance.  The map is hands down more quickly then the motherboard.  2 x 2 MIMO broadcast practically double your performance to download (assuming you have at least to AC1200 router that supports speeds of that card is).  I use an ASUS AC1900 RT-AC68U, a great router is worth every penny.  Speedtest.NET, my laptop on the wireless now easily continues with my internet service 60MBPS, going as fast as my wired connection (with the old card, he maxed out at around download 50MBPS; with the new card, it uses bandwidth full, closer to 70MBPS for us.)  Download speeds were around 4, 5-5 Mbps, to be expected in view of our internet service.

File transfers are literally about twice as fast as prerequisites for the upgrade.  I supported sustained more than 8 Mbps download speeds when there are about 40 feet from the router with 3 walls and other elements of the way.  File transfer speeds are great, more 40MBPS transferring files to my NAS, compared to close to 20 with the original map (also from 40 feet with 3 walls and other obstacles).

Overall, the performance is much better that the original card, as expected, the installation is simple and quick, and everything works perfectly.  I highly recommend this upgrade.

I bought a processor intel 5300 after having seen a guide on ebay and tried to install it myself. the card has been able to view the networks around me, including my own, but couldn't connect. I realized then that the motherboard wireless g has two antenna ports and intel has three, it does mean that I have another antenna installed for the updated map work correctly. also, I know only the basics of computers, so I'm sorry for the long and maybe stupid question and post, but any help or advice would be much appreciated. also, I installed the hellowifi bluetooth module and it works like a charm with my mouse microsoft incase it's all hestiant on this upgrade. May not have been included. I don't own a S10, so I don't know what is / is not included. If the antenna has not been included, you can probably buy one and send it inside your netbook. Possibly remove your complete netbook and losing your warranty.

  • Can not capture TV signal in Media Center

    Hello

    IM from Australia,

We recently had a new antenna installed in our building and they designed the antenna to a different and blocked transmission of the single tower due to us being between the two rounds and he in interference.

The new tower is the Sydney - Kings Cross Tower (East) and it is on a different frequency to the other Tower range.

e.g. channel 7 Sydney broadcasts to 182.25 of Artarmon MHz or 695,25 MHz of Kings Cross.

I can't get the Media Center to find the channels in the upper frequency band, even though both my TV and Mediaportal running on the same PC, using the same tuners can receive the signal when I specify the correct Tower (and it scans the bandwidth).

is there a way to make Windows 7 Media Center to analyze these frequencies?

    Hey guys.

I have an Acer Aspire V5 552P - X 404 with Windows 10 x 64 instaled. I am trying to replace the card supplied with the laptop (Atheros AR5B22 PCI-E) wireless with a card that has AC wireless cabability I found on Amazon (Azure Broadcom BCM94352HMB/BCM94352 PCI - E https://www.amazon.com/AzureWave-Broadcom-BCM94352HMB-BCM94352-867Mbps/dp/B00JY6X9HM). I recently tried the Intel AC-7260 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E7QGHE6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and although the map fit perfectly and the antennas installed very well, my laptop wouldn't start windows, it just sitting there with a blank screen. I assumed it was something to do with the motherboad is is not compatible with the Intel wireless card. I updated all the drivers on my laptop for the recent ounces and tried many different things to obtain Intel to work, but they all failed.

If anyone knows if the AzureWave Broadcom card work? Thanks and sorry for being a noob. I DID do some research before this announcement.

Here are the cards Wifi what acer says will work.

    Liteon 3rd WiFi 2 x 2 AGN + Broadcom BT4.0 20702 43228 + (2 x 2 WiFi 43228 AGN + BT4. 20702 DB 0) NC.23611.003

    Liteon 3rd WiFi 2 x 2 AGN + BT4.0 Atheros WB222 NI.23600.103

    Foxconn 3rd WiFi 2 x 2 AGN + BT4.0 Atheros WB222 NI.23600.102

    Foxconn 3rd WiFi 2 x 2 AGN + Broadcom BT4.0 20702 43228 + (2 x 2 WiFi 43228 AGN + BT4. 20702 DB 0) NI.23600.100

If you want AC, you'll just have to try Wifi cards until you find one that works. Acer do not use whitelists in the bios then it will be just a compatibility / driver problem.
