Icons of connectivity

For a Slate HP 7 HD running 4.2.2 Android...

Y at - it somewhere that defines the small icons that appear in the top right of the screen. There is a fan and a triangle. It seems that the fan indicates the strength of the Wi - Fi and the triangle indicates the mobile Force? Fix. Sometimes, the triangle has an H next to it. What does that mean?

Sorry if this is a silly question but I can not see all the documents and could not find via search.

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

The 'H' is the type of data connection you currently have.

H = HSDPA (3. 5 g / 4 G) 'High Speed Downlink Packet Access' or 'High Speed Packet Access.

No 'H' or a 'E' = edge (2.5 g) "Enhanced Data rates for GSM evolution.

You can disable the gauge AC - start Access Connections - switch to Advanced mode - click Tools - global settings - click on notifications - uncheck "show the tonnage of logins in the taskbar.

You can enable 'the status of connections access in the taskbar icon' at the same place.

    Hi nancypalmiter,

1 - is your laptop battery charge when turned off?

2 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Sometimes, the problem may be with the laptop. The battery isn't bad, but it could be a loose connection or hardware problem with laptop. It will be the right idea to get the material under test if the battery of the laptop is not getting loaded even if the laptop is turned off.

You can also try the BIOS update and check if it helps. You can get in touch with the system manufacturer for assistance for the update of the BIOS.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

  • Lack of blackBerry Smartphones icon 'manage connections '.

    Hello

For some reason any the "manage connections" icon is missing from my BB menu.  I did a "view all", but it is not displayed anywhere.  The only way for me to get into this app is to assign the button on the right side to the application 'Manage connections' via the options "screen/keyboard.

No idea how to recover this icon on my menu?

    Thank you!

    1. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

    2. it can be dependent on theme. What theme are you running? Try changing themes (options > themes) and see if you see the icon.

  • When I click on onknown icon wifi connections are checked with "connect automatically" why?

the small icon 'wifi' on the taskbar of my laptop has six other House and wifi connections listed. I only know me. When I click the wifi icon, four of the six say "connect automatically". is it safe? Why it will remain unchecked in the box? concerned.

    Hi Lynne,

This option is by design. The option "connect automatically" is always checked for any open network (such as a secure network) so that you do not manually connect (each time) if the laptop comes in the range of open network.

If you do not automatically connect to an open network, then uncheck the option.

If the option is checked, even if you do not want to connect to a network, there is no harm.

If you have concerns, please let us know.

The usual cause is a bad anti virus update, or lack of one in Thunderbird updates.

    1 reset
    2. check that your anti-virus firewall component allows Thunderbird
    3. check with your service provider that their mail server is working.
    4. to diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:

    • Restart Thunderbird with disabled modules (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click "restart with disabled modules. If Thunderbird works as usual, there is an add-on or theme interfere with normal operations. You will need to reactivate the modules one at a time until you locate the offender.

Have you tried the previous version of the Atheros driver on your PC?

In addition, it is useful to check your configuration wireless Belkin router:

Offshore, i.e. the SSID hidden? What is the interval of tag?

The other thing to try is to change your channel wireless in the Belkin router (your PC adapter should pick up after changing anyway). If there is another source of signal, it can interfere with your wireless network. You can check this using the utility of ' Search for Wireless Device "of Toshiba ConfigFree.

    Thank you very much

For me, it seems that the router abandon themselves. Restart your router, and then try again.
