identification of Panel dv4-1225dx

How to identify which Panel is in this laptop?

The screen is bright (not Matt) and specification of the HP product page does not "LED" in the description of the display, it is why should I assume that it is the non - LED Brightview No. 497182-001 and uses Display Inverter 486736-001?

HP States product specifications:

Display14.1 "diagonal WXGA high-definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)

But the maintenance and Service Guide indicates the following options of the Panel for this model:

Display Panel options:

14.1 inch WXGA LED with BrightView

14.1 inch WXGA with BrightView

14.1 inch, anti-glare, WXGA with rinse the glass (1280 × 800)

I have a HP Pavilion DV4-1225dx, I bought at bestbuy and I am running windows 7 64 bit, I was wondering if there was drivers availible for remote control of my laptop, I would prefer not having to install the whole suite of HP, but I'd do it if it means I could make it work I used 64-bit drivers for vista for the rest of the machine and they all worked perfectly, but for remote control Setup crashes my whole upward machine when I try to start it, if anyone has any ideas?

    Try this driver.

  • leader revovery pavilion dv4 1225dx

My pavilion dv4 1225dx stopped randomly start, showed a blank screen and the caps and scroll lights were blink every few seconds. What I've read, it is unfortunately a major problem. I tried a hard reset, taking and in the stack, the stack of the RTC, try different combinations of these two modules and WLAN module to see if the computer should start without it. Nothing has worked.

I understand that my computer is done at this stage, but I need to get the files out of it. Can I use a USB adapter cable to transfer the files from my hard drive? If so, how?

    -Desperate and tired-

    Hello

Probably your best option is to remove the hard - see Page 68 of your Service Guide & -place it in an external enclosure (an example of what you need is on the link below), that connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.

  • HP pavilion dv4-1225dx windows wireless controller 7

I have a laptop laptop HP Pavilion dv4-1225dx originnaly came with the Windows Vistaoperating system, but I updated to this OS with Windows 7 Professional , and when I did this, the Wireless card no longer works.

In fact, the laptop is not able to connect to any wireless network, because the wireless card is still OFF, and when I try to on, it is not possible.

I did all the suggestions and help, but finally, the suggestion was to post my problem here to find a solution. I hope someone can help me.

Can you help me find a solution to this problem?

I'd appreciate any comments or help you can give me. Thank you very much!!

    Dear friend,

In fact, I found a solution. It was strange for me but now the wireless adapter works and its light is now blue (on).

I need to download the site Web HP some software and steps that help me to solve the problem are:

    The solution that I found:

    0) BIOS upgrade (perhaps this step is not necessary but for now when I tried to solve my problem I did)

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-86224-1&CC=US&DLC=&LC=en&os=4062&Product=3860437&sw_lang=

    (1) download and install the HP wireless assistant package. This will help for sure to activate and put the wireless button and wireless adapter.

  • Pavillion Dv4-1225dx do not fully recognize the capacity of the hard disk

Recently I replaced the OEM hitachi hard drive (SATA 250 GB at 5400 RPM) in my Dv4-1225dx. Replaced by a WD scorpio black 16mg buffer 320G 7200 RPM / min. system registers only one size of 298G drive despite the fact that the player goes out very well with the Western Digital diagnostic tool and check the bios of the system HDD Pavilion. Is there a BIOS setting that is to limit the ability of the systems to recognize more than 300 GB drives? If there is, I'm not, the Bios (BIOS latest worm d.55) hid all the settings that I'm used to seeing on other laptops. If anyone has had this problem, or have any ideas of what I should look at? Thanks in advance...

The missing space is called disk overhead. I'll show you and example. The image is that of a STAT 500 GB drive. In fact only 465 GB is used.  The calculation is simple. Please keep in mind that a kilobyte is actually 1024octets.

  • Windows 7 64 bit & dv4 1225dx - Audio drivers?

So I had the chance to install other drivers from Vista to Windows 7 beta until I run them in compatibility to vista as an administrator mode.  I decided to launch Windows 7 on a dual boot for my wife DV4.

So far, everything works fine, except for the audio.  QuickPlay material does not respond or does not respond as it should.  The sound icon will show that it is not cut, but the speaker orange/red, showing that she is mute is turned on.  You can then go to press the speaker icon mute on the QuickPlay... and the sound in the taskbar indicates that she is mute.

When you look at the sound properties is to show the waves bouncing up and down to the music that I play on... but the speakers do not work at all.  I went to the site of HPs, but I see not all Sound drivers.

Anyone know who makes this sound card (as seems only to appear as High Definition Audio)... with the generic driver windows installed.  I want to see if I can get a version of these drivers Vista... and run in compat mode to see if I can make it work.

The HDA driver is correctly installed and the device says it works correctly.  I went through all the audio menus possible.

I have the official vista driver earlier someone in HPs Live Chat Customer Support and they gave me with the download below for what I needed

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp39501-40000/SP39671.exe

Now... I ran as administrator and vista compat mode, but it failed.  But I remembered where the defult installation files, so I went to C:\SWSetup I think his name was... and then in the drivers folder.  There, I found an app for PC Audio.  So I put on that compat mode and run as administrator, and installed the drivers correctly.  It took a restart... and when he came online I got sound.

    Thanks for the replies

  • Problems with HP laptop (model dv4-1225dx), turns off

I have bolded the important bits.

To be honest, I had problems with this computer since the beginning.  A lot of it, however, is due to a problem of overheating resulting from a wrong place fan and cons set to automatically install updates.

But a cooling pad and a setting to choose what is installed more or less solved that.

Now for the problem.  I installed Windows 7 a few months ago, and everything has been working fine since then.  Since yesterday, however, the computer shuts down after a few minutes of being on.  Now, the fan on this thing is very strong, even in low use (another drawback of this model, but is not the point) so I'm pretty sure that's not working.  But it does not seem likely that the computer could warm up enough to warrant a hard stop in a few minutes, it?

I tried the Startup Repair but the computer is turned off before being able to complete it.  I'm still able to do if I start Windows normally, but once again only for a few minutes before it stops.

    So I have two questions:

    1. replacement of the fan of something I can do myself, or is it too integrated or complicated to manage?

    2. the random stop is really a matter of fan at all?

On an unrelated note, Norton seems to have dug his own player to backup on my D drive, which means it cannot do a good backup.  How can I get rid of what I properly backup?

    Hello

It may be a faulty hard drive. Try to run a test drive. here

It can also be a fan problem. You can replace the fan yourself. Step by step here Guide

With respect to the reverse, use the one that provide windows. Try this from microsoft. here

  • HP Pavilion DV4 1225dx: HP dvd dvd RW Options not recognized by laptop

    Hi Baldin,

Try to unplug/remove the DVD writer and released in...  (Cela that plugged while on and battery removed).

If it do work, then try to update the driver from the Optiarc...

If that too fails, then probably, your burner is dead...

  • mute dv4 1225dx windows 7 button does not work after restarting

Hello world. I will try windows 7 on my pavilion laptop and everything works perfectly except the button mute who does not work (do not put on mute or turn red). I installed the driver sp45073 which is supposed to be the one to W7 64-bit. the curious thing is that it works perfectly once the computer restarts after the installation, but if I restart again, it stops working. If someone could help me that would be great. Thanks in advance,

Well, I ended up reinstalling windows 7 64 and it works now. It seems that the problem was the installation of the drivers via windows update. I just installed those appearing on the hp Web page and there is no problem so far.

  • HP dv4 1225dx Quick Launch Button problems

I can not so much with my quick launch buttons.  I tried installing and uninstalling different old and new drivers, and I have absolutely no chance.  Are the buttons light up, but when I touch them I get no response at all.  It's extremely frustrating because I'm unable to find the device drivers specific to this problem.  Help!

Electrical components sometimes must have all the food sources removed and reintroduced to work properly.  Try to perform a hard reset first, if this does not work then we will move on to the next step.

    To perform a hard reset

    • Shut down the computer by going to the menu start and select shut down.
    • Unplug the adapter from the laptop.
    • Remove the battery from the bottom of the laptop.  There will be a switch/battery eject button.
    • Wait at least 1 minute with all sources of power disconnected.
    • Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter and turn on the laptop.
