IE8 Access Manager - unknown supervisor password

Try to disable access Manager, but I'm invited for the supervisor password. I don't remember a password so don't know not what that password is. How can I find the password, or circumvent the requirement?

We have forgotten the password. is there a way to reset the password or to disable it without the password?

    Hello

Download and run the http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/conadvpass.html program (if you are able to access the site)

    If not, perform this task:

"If you have forgotten the password of Access Manager, you can remove it by accessing this folder in Regedit (don't forget to back up your registry first):

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\

    CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings

Select the key called icon in the right pane and press on delete. Close Regedit.

Now, you can start Internet Explorer and goto tools, Internet Options... Select the content tab and click on disable. When asked a password, do not write, just click OK. This will disable access Manager, since nothing is more a password. You can enable it again as soon as invent you a more memorable password"

    Hello

I recommend the Toshiba Assist for supervisor password utility.
Secure should appear in the supervisor password utility.

Remote Control Manager improves the support for a remote control on your computer.
I don't know if you can accede to this request, but if so then you should check it in the Panel of m.

  • Can't access BIOS laptop Windows XP Pro system, because it is secured by an unknown administrator password.

I bought a laptop Compaq Presario X 1000 Goodwill Industries. It has Windows XP Pro installed and is secured by an unknown administrator password. When I try to access the system BIOS at startup, it calls the administrator password and denies access. How can I remove this password for the BIOS settings? Everything I've tried so far has failed. Please notify.

If you're at it, you could open the laptop and find the BIOS battery - I think that if you remove for about 15 minutes, and that should reset the BIOS.

  • Tecra A11 - 1EG - cannot be accessed after the supervisor setting BIOS password

Hello, I would like to know if anyone can help?

We have started to put a supervisor on our laptop Tecra A11 password so that our students can not set passwords on the hard drive, etc.

To enter the BIOS and set a BIOS password, press us F2 that the machine starts.
Then we go to the security option, then supervisor password.
After entering the password we use twice, press us F10 to save etc.

The machine starts ok and will windows smoothly.

The problem we have now, is that we cannot go back into the bios at all.
As machine starts support us on the "F2" key as before, but unlike previously the screen remains white and the "Toshiba leading Innovation > ' screen no longer appears."

If we keep our finger on the F' key or continue pressing the laptop restarts just without ever get to the BIOS screen where I guess that get us ask the supervisor password that we set earlier?

Is there another key, that we should be pressing that start the laptop?

I would add that we have added a password of supervisor for the screen of security BIOS on three of our laptops and all three have the same problem.

    Thank you

    Steve

I think this should be useful for you:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0B032D0000R01.htm

In some cases, you need to press the "INS" in Toshiba logo appears.

Then appears a prompt for the password for the supervisor and if the password is certified then the BIOS could be entered by pressing the "F2" key

  • Satellite A100-206 supervisor password problem

    Hello

We have a Satellite A100-206 at the office.

Then she ask me to remove the password so I typed the password, management of the bios and clear the user password.
But it is, I also noticed that the supervisor password was already defined but not selectable (gray color).

In any case, I've saved and restart.
The problem is that now the OS start without asking for a password, but I can't enter the bios because it asks for a password and is not that of the colleague don't forget to have it fixed.

Why can't I get more into the bios of th as a user?
I also find the hwsetup in windows re set the password of the user as shown in the manual, but this software is not present.

  • Satellite U400-150 - always needed, even to start supervisor password

Satellite U400-150 /PSU45E, the cooler BIOS v4.0, just been flashed (23/07/2009).

Well, I have a problem with the password at startup. I need to password, which should be _only_ required to enter the "BIOS". When I set the supervisor password (user is clear) I guess I should be asked for password enter or manage the CONFIGURATION of the BIOS, but it must always give me the password. To start, to start from other sources (F12) and to enter the SETUP.

In the AWARD bios, there is an option called "password at startup: enabled". But I find not so in Phoenix. In the topic "Security" in "CONFIGURATION of the BIOS", there is an option to set a password for the 'supervisor, user, or HARD drive. I already tried all combinations, none for me.

What I want to achieve is:

I would like to be invited to give a password only when I enter the CONFIGURATION or when I try to boot from another deaf (hold F12). When I start the system only during the regular ignition I need not give the password.

    Could you please help me?

    > One last thing, I can still boot from another source, such as USB, DVD key, another without entering the password... what kind of security is that?

    Check this Toshiba document on:
    * What is a BIOS supervisor password? *
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ9202JF0000R01.htm

    It is said clearly:
+ A password of the BIOS supervisor, used in combination with the password of the BIOS, is the second security option you have for your laptop. The BIOS supervisor password protects the BIOS settings. In most cases, the BIOS supervisor password is used by the COMPUTER system administrator in a network environment to restrict the access to certain functions of the laptop, but individual users can benefit from this additional security. For example, a supervisor of the BIOS password is adjustable to restrict access to the BIOS, to restrict the user BIOS and disk HARD or password to restrict the access to power management features. In most cases, these types of restrictions are needed in the middle to large companies. Users without supervisor BIOS password cannot change these settings.
