If I do a clean installation Windows 10 anniversary update...

I have a xps desktop 8700.

Windows will find most of the drivers?

If I enter my serial number and go to drivers will be all the drivers that I need to be there?

(I had an old Dell with Windows XP. I did a clean install on it once. I think that there was a device that was listed as unknown. I put in the dell driver disk and it installed most of the missing drivers I need, I recall. "(But you no longer get discs with Dell computers)."

Is there a place to download a driver diskette?

If I open reflex Macrium, it shows that there are 5 partitions. One is the c: drive, it is Image ACB, one is wintools (I think). What are the other 2? They must be Dell partitions as ever, I have created all the partitions.

I looked at the model number of my hard drive and it seems to be a standard hard drive. Someone said that there could be a small SSD, which is used to help the other boot faster disk. If there is such a unit, wouldn't see if I opened Optimizer? Or in Macrium reflect?

My hard drive model number is WD10EZEX

Native driver Windows 10 has a much larger basis than Windows XP. Going to feature built-in to most of the components and it will automatically get a multitude of drivers directly from Windows Update. In addition, Microsoft update the installation media about every 3 months or when it should have done given that Windows Vista is released. There may be one or two new drivers on the Dell Web site however. Ron has already you linked to my installation guides. I also did some video tutorials:

This system has a UEFI BIOS home and SecureBoot must be enabled.

I've updated two computers (HP Compaq Elite SFF 8300 and E6320 Dell), Hp with 2013 installed Office and Dell with Office 2010 installed. The printer is connected to my network. The latest "complete solution drivers' HP was installed before the upgrade. Hello!

Thanks for your suggestion of a solution!

First of all, it fixed my problem of printing when I tried with a new user on both computers. Yet, I was a little confused that two updates and an installstion clean "updated anniversary" should lead to a curropted user profile!

Then when I did what I always be with new computers/users, to the environment variables 'TMP' and 'TEMP' C:\Temp for the new user. Printing stops again. Extract a little more and found that users on C:\Temp needed to be 'total control '. 'Change' was not enough. Perhaps one of the new things in birthday update?

In any case, there where the pleasure with your help!

I haven't identified the problem because it's random, very often and it's very annoying, my sound system is its IDT DTS + I tried to reinstall the drivers with the latest version but some of the problem persists...
Only, I noticed that the problem is more 'feel' when the bass setting is higher or when I change the audio setting to my taste.
I ask you to help also became very boring because without my custom settings is really horrible!
    Thank you.
Sorry for the English, but this isn't my mother tongue, I used google translator.

    Hi there @Alexcpp,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that, after the update of Windows 10 anniversary, you had some sound problems.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Check the support page for your model of HP Pavilion 500-215el desktop PC, there don't seem to be updated drivers, and you have already tried to reinstall existing ones.

You can always try to use the HP Support Assistant, HP PCs - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is a driver available that is not displayed on the support page. It is unlikely, but there is always a chance that the page has not yet updated.

Another possibility is to make some adjustments on your system, just in case there is another driver or software that interferes with the audio, which could cause problems of lag. You can try the search, even if these: computers HP - computer is slow (10 Windows), HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers.  They are never a waste of time because often there is something that could help the overall performance of the system.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Cleaner installation (Windows 7 recovery discs)

I use a pavilion laptop (dv7-3085dx) and I would like to do a clean install of windows 7.  After ordering HP recovery discs I booted from the dvd system recovery, reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows 7.  Then he asked me to put on the cd of driver and application recovery and method to install a ton of bloatware on my fresh system.  There is no option of autorun on the cd that allows you NOT to fill your computer full of useless * beep *.

After Googling the problem I came up with two possible solutions:

    (1) install the cd drivers and complete applications, and then using a program such as pc-decrapifier

    (2) selectively install drivers useful and apps after install the clean by using a cd image program.

I feel that programs such as "pc decrapifier" still leave bloatware remains in the registry and that installing selectively useful drivers and applications can be tricky.  Does anyone have tips for how should I proceed and what applications and drivers are essential or useful?

TL; DR how can I reinstall windows 7 in order to avoid bloatware and have a fully functional computer?

    Thank you guys!

    Thanks for your help

    1 Yes

    2. links on this page are to the Microsoft site, but I am not a lawyer

    3. Yes

4, yes you have to load a driver Sata (Intel only) during installation, there is an option "Load driver" during the beginning of the installation of W7, if installation of W7 do not find a hard drive, start the installation again and load the Sata driver.

There may be other drivers, you need to install once installation is complete, check for missing drivers Device Manager, if you can connect to the internet to do a windows update and see if it suggests and driver optional downloads.

    5. try this link, I would not trust other sources, the iso can be infected.

  • Cannot install of Windows 10 anniversary update on MacBook Air

    Hi all

When I run the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 10, he told me that I am currently running version 10586 and the latest version is 14393. (from August 03-2016). After I click 'Update Now' to start, I get the following message:

10 of Windows does not run on this PC

This is why 10 Windows cannot be installed:

    CPU: OK

    Memory: OK

    Disk space: OK

! Display: The display is not compatible with Windows 10. Check with the manufacturer for support.

End of 2015 MacBook Air running Windows 10, no problem, the display runs the Intel® HD Graphics 600 driver and Control Panel, everything is OK.

No clue as to what might happen?

  • Windows 10 anniversary update broke my Acer Switch SW5-12 10

I type on my laptop big because I can't get my convertible tablet, touchpad or a touchscreen to work. Not even a usb mouse moves without severe lag, as in 20 times on the mouse pad move your thumb on the screen. I downloaded and flashed all updates to the bios, calibrated the screen, restarted about 10 times (because it took about 6 times after previous Windows update for my touch screen works), and nothing has changed. Acer care center said that all my drivers are up to date. Given that a click on the screen shows several little circles in a vertical row and open 2 or 3 different windows for aps I never clicked on, it takes hours to do something that should have taken minutes. So no, Acer, drivers are not updated.

I've seen the Acer note on another model, saw that they were working on touchpad problems. I hope they're working on a fix for this model, but it needs the touchscreen fixed as well. If someone figured out how to solve this problem, please help. I don't want to take my laptop grand on a different level.

First, the last update (-4798) sets out a number of things, including a mouse jerky on my W3.

Secondly, they are the trackballs computer USB Pocket that can work very well.

How can I, without seeking to erase and reinstall again?

To activate the built-in Windows 7 games:

    1. click on Start (lower-left) and then on Control Panel.

    2. click on programs and features.

    3. on the left side of the screen, click on 'Windows turn features on or off".

    4. find the entry called games & check the box next to it.

    5. click on OK.

    6 reset.

If the games box is already checked, uncheck the box , click OK, restart, then do steps 1-6 above.

    Hello

"do a custom (clean) installation for windows 7 home premium.

You say you want to install Windows 7, NOT Vista.

It is a better idea if you buy you the Windows 7 DVD and then install it from the media.

You then save model the work of making a Bootable DVD from the download and you also then have a reliable way to reinstall Windows 7 and repair work on this, if you have the need to.

Before purchasing Windows 7, make sure that your hardware and software will work properly with him.

Take some time and these checks:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

  • Wipe the HD, do clean install Windows 7 - cannot detect HD during installation

    Hello

So basically I have Toshiba Satellite L305-s5908 and I wiped the full HD (use to have Vista on the laptop), and yes I copied everything on a HD external backup.  My problem is when I'm clean installation of Windows 7, it gets to a point where it asks 'where to install Windows 7', and it does not show my HD.  Now I'm stuck.    What to do?  Here's what I tired...

-J' looked for a driver for the HD, but Toshiba has not (at least I can't find it).  Other sites claim to have a 'pilot', but I'm afraid to download spyware or malicious software.

-what I have to reformat my HD wiped & then install Windows 7?  If so, what are the steps?

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi all

    I got my problem solved.

With the help of another COMPUTER forum, I got my HD work and installation of Windows 7 made.  Long story short, I wiped my own HD (had Vista).  After the failure of it own, I discovered the 'C' was thought (via the command Diskpart) someone suggested I download and burn to a CD, a program called "GParted" (search with Bing).

GParted is a free partition editor to graphically manage your disk partitions.

With GParted you can resize, copy, and move partitions without data loss, so you can:

    • Grow or shrink your C: drive
    • Creating space for new operating systems
    • Attempt to rescue data from lost partitions

After starting with GParted, he went to work. As my HD was clean it took 5 to 8 minutes to complete.  Once GParted has been done, I inserted the Windows 7 installation CD.  Finally when he got to the screen "where do you want to install Windows?" my HD showed.  Finally!   What a relief!   After an hour, my old laptop was completely installed Windows 7.   I'm so happy that this has been resolved.

I am logged on as administrator, and one of the strange things is I see four entries under the heading "power entities.  Also, when I downloaded and installed iTunes, it installed, but you try to start the program I got the message "access denied."  This happens with any of my other programs (can open the program, but not a file) and I just can't understand what can do.  Help, please!
