If I do not support until my MBP before installing a new hard drive...
Very quick question:
If I don't support my hard drive before installing a new hard drive, SSD, the MBP (early 2011) "know" download all the OS X software appropriate and that sort of thing? I guess my question is: is the part of the hard drive of the same hard drive recovery? Or on a separate physical disk.
I don't have a time machine, and it would probably be easier to start from scratch.
Thank you!
If your computer comes with 10.6.8 or earlier and did not have its updated firmware updated to use Internet Apple system recovery, it is only on the internal drive. Otherwise, separate recovery methods are in the firmware and the drive internal.

Installed the new hard drive - now "OS not found"
Hi, I recently installed a new hard drive in my laptop because the old hard drive was dead. So, I installed the hard drive and I am now installing the operating system using the Dell disk I received with my laptop. This is for the 32-bit window Vista and it says it should be used for re-installation of Vista. It was in a sealed envelope - so it has never been used.
When I start the laptop and insert the disc, it just says: operating system not found. I made sure the cd drive is the first in the startup list. I also put the drive into another laptop and copied the files on a USB key. Then tried to install it on the USB. No luck.
I have run the system diagnostics, and it says that my hard drive and cd drive are recognized and functioning.
The dell cd drive is not bootable? Thanks in advance for your help.
I was able to fix this on my own. It turns out that one of the files has been altered I discovered once I was finally able to get it to boot from a USB device. I found the one window Vista installation disk other that I have with another computer laptop and used that. Worked well.

From January 2013, after a series of about 13 automatic updates, Windows 7 hang in the boot process. Using the repair function of the system on the Windows 7 installation disc, I was able to select a restore point at the beginning and Windows would be operated until I chose shutdown and updates would be automatically install 13 updates and then freeze at startup. Finally, in a workaround, I would choose standby extended instead of shutdown until the system would break down after 10 days. After going through this loop until the end of February, I bought a new hard drive and installed Windows 7 again. I used the product key and the OEM ID on the back of my Acer Aspire 5253 - BZ849, but keep getting prompts is not valid. How can I get this fixed WITHOUT PAYING for WINDOWS AGAIN!
The product key on the back label of the Acer PC is: * product key removed privacy * (initially, it has been accepted as valid. Now I get guests that it is not and I have 22 days to activate.) There is also a code in parentheses (X 16-96072), followed by 168-00196-149-361.

had to install the new hard drive, windows key does not
My hard drive died in my Inspiron 660. I ordered a new hard drive and a recovery Dell USB key. A recovery key for Windows 8 pro based on my recommended by Dell service tag. I installed the new drive and used the recovery key to install Windows 8 pro. I then used a third-party tool to get the product key from the BIOS. The product key does not work. I wonder if the product key on the BIOS isn't for Windows 8, Windows 8 pro. If so, the wrong recovery key recommended by Dell.
What should I do to activate Windows successfully?
Secondly, on my old drive hard, I had upgraded to Windows 10 while he was a free upgrade. How to bring back the free update?
Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 TH1 and TH2 had problems installing specific edition. Your key can be a simple language edition or one with Bing edition and therefore rejected by the installation of the edition of bad media.
Windows 10 TH2 and later all the windows 8.x and 7 OEM keys are treated as Windows 10 keys. Edition installation specific issues have been fixed with Windows 10 RS1. The file .iso Windows 10 RS1 image is covering several editions. It contains all OEM editions and will automatically collect a key Windows 8/8.1/10 UEFI BIOS OEM System Locked Preinstallation and automatically installs the correct edition of Windows 10:

Win 7 | LR 5 CC: changes do not transfer when I copied my images on new hard drive
I am running windows 7 and Lightroom 5 CC. I recently added a new drive hard more to my desktop. I copied my photo folder to lightroom for the new hard drive, but the changes didn't transfer. I tried to revive with my latest backup with no Luke
So the same photo is on F and G, changes present on F, but not G.
I still think that synchronization of records was the problem.
However, in my view, there is a simple solution (well, simple is in the eye of the beholder, of course, maybe you don't think it's simple, but here goes)
Delete all photos of g. using Lightroom, remove them all of the catalogue and the hard drive. Of course, that assumes you have no need for anything whatsoever on G.
Go back to your operating system, copy photos from F to G, leaving the structure of the entire same folder on both drives. Are not "the attempt to put things away upwards after the copy. Does not synchronize. Do not import anything. Everything simply old COPY from F to G.
Return to Lightroom, and right click on the folder my Lightroom on F Photos, select the location of the update folder, point to my Lightroom Photos on g. done! More information in Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing scroll down to the section called "update folder location".

Whenever I try to use my restore disks of backup with the image of the system when I bought my Dell 8300 desktop computer I get this error message (your hard drive is not taken in charge for this process. Please use a hard drive at least GB in size.
My computer crashed went to blue screen that wouldn't everything now I hear 4 beeps, finally I managed to do start on. I already ran the long diagnoses everything was fine.
Here's my problem. I changed the Sata AHCI RAID mode I could create a partition then my Windows 7 downloaded CD Windows 7... my CD of drivers dell drivers, but now I'm unable to use my system restore CD to restore like I always do when I have a problem. When I changed the sata mode to AHIC on load it says (lack of operating system)
I'm not very technical, so if someone can show me step by step on what I should do or give me a call [Admin Note: personal information removed] I would appreciate it a lot. I've added a few pictures as well
Large. I am pleased that my DBAN guide has helped you.
Now that you are on the factory settings, I advise Dell DataSafe Local Backup uninstall and upgrade to the latest version of Dell backup and restoration which has many bugs/improvements, including the ability to restore to another hard drive which is useful in case the hard disk fails in the future or you decide to upgrade later to an SSD. The XPS 8300 running perfectly with a SSD, I have mine put in place with one. Then you can create a Rescue Disk (external hard drive Bootable) or Backup factory (Bootable USB Flash Drive) that will be promoted the recovery compared to the facts media with Dell DataSafe Local Backup. See here for more details:
http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/Dell-backup-and-recovery/
Note This is not a UEFI BIOS (he missed just out on the passage to the UEFI) but may start from an external hard drive.

I just replaced my hard drive with a new because the other HD said imminent failure or something like that! Hello panjok2,
Sometimes recovery CD are dependent on the architecture of a hard drive. If it is different from the original disc, then we have problems.
In this case, the best thing you could do is contact HP and see if this is the case. If it is not why this happens, they should be able to help you as well because they are the ultimate authority on their recovery process.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Best regards

Hi, Nick:
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience in troubleshooting these special software installations.
We should expect to download and install.
If they are not, I have no tricks up my sleeve for you to try.
I recommend starting a new thread describing your questions with this software and hope that someone else in the support forum can help you with these items.
See you soon,.

If put you the first disc to start, you end up back where you started... I changed the boot order and put the hard drive first... even starts
Hello
That sound great for the hard drive.
With regard to the problem you have with Windows activation, it's because your laptop is listed as originally came with Windows 7 Home Premium - as I mentioned in my guide for the creation of a sale installation disc at retail, the image that you use needs to be also be Home Premium - IE you cannot move to professional or ultimate edition as the key on your COA label will not work for a different version of Home Premium and there is no way around that.
The image that should be used is on the following link.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
You will need to create another disc of installation using the above Image and then use it to reinstall Windows 7 - the activation methods I described previously, then will work fine.
Kind regards
