  Yes, they remain intact, IF you click on the option not to uninstall older versions.

  and even if you click this option, you can reinstall your previous version because adobe still makes available old versions cs and even legacy versions macromedia.

  iPad and iPhone running on iOS.  Mbps on OSX.  Applications may be the same but are not identical.  If you want the OSX version to run on your MBP, you will have to pay for it.

  You need Acrobat application to secure your document with password. It seems that you use Acrobat Reader.

  Acrobat Reader is a free service and do not have this option.
