If someone calls and tells me to see computer management have I been hacked?
I do not download anything either and I do not give any personal information.
Do not give what you have. You are well.
Nobody's-going to start the call with you on your computer. Just like everything else you want to fixed - you have either had to implement this personally prior with the knowledge they would call you if there are problems (as a residential - and even security system then it will be a password or a way to prove that all stakeholders should be involved) or you will need to bring things to be considered.

Original title: scams?Microsoft never call houses and tell them that their computer has problems? Some guy called who I could barely understand and wanted to guide me through some things. They said they got my # registration of Microsoft.
Fake phone calls to technical support
Such unsolicited telephone calls are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:

Microsoft does ever not requested for telephone calls of support or security.

A person called and said sending error messages computer and they can repair only by phone
Why did someone Windows is calling to tell me that my computer sends error messages and only they can fix it over the phone? Is anyone of windows or another? Please write me back
Hello
Its a SCAM!
In the United States, you can contact the FBI, Attorney general, the police authorities and consumer
Watch groups. Arm yourself with knowledge. No, Microsoft wouldn't you not solicited. Or they would know if errors exist on your
computer. So that's the fraud or scams to get your money or worse to steal your identity.Avoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently - Microsoft is not unsolicited

someone calls saying that I got error reports to the CSM of hacker in my computer
someone calls saying that I got error reports to the CSM of hacker in my computer
they had me hold the windows key and r for program box run then type eventwr to show me message error and warning because of pirates, the top of the cookie type show I have no files to delete all cookies in the folder, then certmgrmsc to show my windows is not certified, then iexplore. support.me to check on the warning and error messages. they wanted me to enter a code 789470 in the last 'iexplore. support.me. I told him how I know that it is that they say it is tec /msc / he gave me his name to John Maher higher tech and Roger Williams first calling me an another tech with a 1-818-572-1445 number to call him back to. I told her that I had no money in my account right now to pay for 5 years @ 199.00 or life 119.00. I don't think these guys are for real. I didn't call back and they are supposed to call me tomorrow if I don't call them all first for money to pay for. We can get them or?
It's a scam. Just ignore it - they are just trying to make you pay for fake support services, or trying to access your computer to steal information.
If you let their distance in, do a full scan and change your passwords on your important accounts.

Im trying to publish a document that I create on Indesign, but when I push producer Folio he takes me to the Adobe web page and tells me that I don't have a folio. How can I fix?
Check if you have created a folio in offline mode (appears with the icon of the computer/processor) to Panel Builder Folio in InDesign?
Or folio is created under a different account in Panel Builder Folio.
If the Folio is Offline: connect on Folio Builder Panel using the producer identification information Folio, folio offline select and click Download. Now, you will get this folio in Folio Producer and would be available for the publication of too.
For more information, see https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/create-folios.html#folio_builder_pan el_overview
If you are connected to the Panel Builder Folio under a different account: share folio with desired edition account, after the folio appears below the post account. Now, either you can publish or create a copy (to control properly), and then publish the copied folio. Digital Publishing Suite help | Creation of folios

Well, I just hope that someone who has met these two mistakes will find my dose. It might save a lot of pointless research on the net.
SYMPTOMS:
-When you try to open a Silverlight application in your browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE, etc), your browser displays only a white area. When you right click on the white area, you can click on the Silverlight properties.
-If you try to start "Computer management" by clicking on the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Manage', you get the following error: 'access denied '.CAUSE:
The following errors are usually the result of a bad environment variable. In this case the "windir" environment variable does not work correctly. You can try running the management of the computer to start > run and entering:
%windir%\system32\mmc.exe/s %windir%\system32\compmgmt.mscNotice the between the characters of percentage windir environment variable. If you run the above code, you will probably get an error saying that MMC cannot open the file. Look closely at the path, it's back!
You will probably find any % somewhere. What actually happened here is the variable windir made reference to another variable: systemroot
Why this creates problems, I'm not sure. Also, I don't understand what made then variable windir change.SOLUTION:
-From your desktop or Explorer: right-click on "My computer" and select "Properties".
-Click on the "Advanced" tab and then click "Environment Variables".http://pcauthorities.com/images/advanced-system-properties-XP.jpg
-Did the windir variable. Together to "C:\Windows" do not think that it is already set to "C:\Windows", because windows then tells you. Double-click it to know for sure.

-See, I told you! Change this to "C:\Windows".

Popup - telling me to call 888-979-2448 to see if my PC has been infected - SCAM?
When I called this number, the person told me it was Microsoft Support and suggested that he needed to take control of my PC to tell me if it was really infected. This looks like a major scam to me. Please can someone confirm that 888-979-2448 is a legitimate Windows support number? Thanks - screenshot attached
All of these types of pop-ups are false warnings - scams. Never call these numbers.
Since you already called, I hope that allows you access to your computer and just hung on these crooks.
Please read: PSA: Tech Support scams pop ups on the rise
Use the Task Manager to close your browser:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/end-process#1TC=Windows-7
Delete the temporary internet files and restart. After the reboot, the pop-up should be gone.
Otherwise, follow the steps here: Remove Tech Support pop up scam (call for support scam)
See you soon,.

Local users and groups is missing from computer management
I can't find the local users and groups folder in computer management. He is absent.
Hello
Advanced management tools are only available in the Windows 8 Pro version. It seems that you have the standard version of Windows 8. Windows and Windows 8 RT have local users and groups with disabilities.
You can also check the wire and check.

I received a call today a stone that identified himself as Windows Support calls. He informed me that my Windows program was in danger of crashing, and if I went on my computer immediately he could walk me through the steps to correct this situation. I refused, and he said he'll call again tomorrow. I also Norton Antivirus installed on my computer, and according to the latest analysis today, there is no serious problems. So, my question would be support personnel Tech Windows do actually contact customers or should I consider this a scam?
Thank you
Kathy Waddell

This a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. . Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.
At let them into your computer? If you did you are at serious risk for what they could have done it (installed spyware? Steal the passwords?), and I highly recommend that you do the two following:
1 reinstall Windows properly
2. change all your passwords, especially those of the financial institutions and online stores.

someone called and said I have bought for safety with TOZM, safe?
We received a call our computer has virus or something and go on a www.emmyy.com site, the man on the phone was not so good to expose, so I did not understand everything, but it is safe to do this?
No, it's SCAM and FAKE for sure.
If you do not worry on your PC on the virus, you can run a full system scan with:
