Image IPTC

Hi all

I'm new on BlackBerry, java and the community but I am an experienced programmer c +.

I need to develop an application that will be attaching iptc data in the image.

Someone has already tried to do by random or guide me a bit how it can be done?

Thank you very much in advance,

Hello

I have not found any library info join IPTC on Blackberry. However have found work around to send information I want to join IPTC on the server as well as the image on the server of my app and fix it on here after the arrival.

So now my while are happy to take pictures on their devices, send it to the server with description and other information and images are appearing on their website a few minutes after having fully subtitled :-)

Have done so for both Windows mobile (HTC phones) is currently working on an Android app.

In fact, on Windows Mobile there are libraries to tie the IPTC for the image on the device but I need do anything more.

If you want to know more info how email me on: [email protected]

  • Keywords from Lightroom and IPTC fields

    Hello!

Does anyone know if Lightroom actually wrote the keywords in the IPTC image file field? I'm new to LR, and me are familiar to the bridge, where the keywords are actually added to the same file, but as there is so much faster keywording in LR than Bridge, I fear that the tags are not written in the files, but only in the LR database, so I need to export the image keyworded to obtain aid of keywords in the field image IPTC field. Am I wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Key words originally in the basis of LR but when you export an image you can include metadata,

You also have the option to save metadata to the files from the Menu metadata > save metadata to file...

For the PSD, JPG, TIFF, DNG this will write the key words in the file. For raw files, it will produce a file.

  • The passage of the structure of folders in Lightroom (EXIF/IPTC)?

    Hello

I have + 25 k images organized in a folder structure today. This structure has served me well for several years, but I realize that he there limits.
Lightroom trial made me decide to go to a new approach, but some "nightmares" of how to include pictures of my old folder structure (25 images k...)

I know that I can keep my intact files in Lightroom, and I did. But I also want to have some sort of description on EXIF/IPTC. Today, this description is in the name of the folder and there only.

How can I automatically include the name of the current folder images in the file image IPTC caption or any other EXIF/IPTC field? I want to do this for images and folders in a single batch and not select each folder manually.

The old images will be more in line with images I import in the future, and they will be at least universal based on the former name of searchable folder.

Is there a software that is ready to go for this?

What is a task for Automator?

I have access to both PC and MAC for this type of batch operation.

  • Is it possible to edit the IPTC metadata in psb files?

I created a file by combining a number of images in a panorama. As planned, the panorama picked up one of the source images IPTC metadata and saved in the resulting file.

If I had saved the file in psd or tiff, I could easily use Bridge or Lightroom to edit IPTC metadata after you save the file. But Lightroom doesn't even read the psb files and bridge won't let me edit the metadata (metadata seem to be read-only).

The only way I could figure to change metadata needed to use exiftool. It seems very strange that a third-party tool is necessary to make simple changes to what is (I think) an owner of the Adobe format file. Or am I missing something?

  • How to copy "Date to update the" to "Date of creation"?

For some reason, all my photos have had their 'date Created' changed for a date in 2015? I do not have a back-up I can restore (a more 30 000 photos), but both the "date modified" and the date of "Last opened" remain as the original "date of creation".

Is it possible to copy the 'date Modified' or the 'last opening' to replace the 'created date '?

    ANY suggestions much appreciated.

Thank you and happy new year,

    Kenneth

I use a MacBook Air with the latest Photos and operating system installed.

Where you see the 'creation Date' in the Photos?  The information about the Photos Panel is only indicating the date of capture integrated in the file original image IPTC and EXIF tags.

File creation date that you see in the Finder, if you access the originals using the Finder, may change, if your library is synchronized with iCloud. All original image in my library on my MacBook Pro to iCloud retina display a date of creation sometime in July, when I downloaded the iCloud library.

  • legends in the metadata

How to add captions to the individual images IPTC metadata?   I can only find edit for metadata presets.

I don't see in the metadata in the upper part of the library is to edit the

    predefined information.

You should not look up in the library. Look on the right side of the library Module, the metadata Panel (under control panel Keywording and keyword list as shown in the screenshot of assani). If it isn't, press F8 to make it appear.

  • Easier manufacturing import?

I searched this forum in several ways and can't seem to find the answers I need. Probably there is here and I'm not holding my mouth right

I am a recent emigrant from Apertueville, so I'm still learning, "The way a true Lightroom." (Side, as a professional user of these two programs, I have to say that they are pretty much equivalent.) Each has strengths or weakness that the other has. Among the surprisingly inaccurate ducks is that LR is categorically faster than the AP. With sufficiently powerful hardware, I find much slower LR for some operations).

Question 1: I searched help online and cannot find a way to stop ejecting the card after importation of LR. Most of the time I'll have some photos that belong to several categories / different metadata. Example: I shoot sports (among others) HS for the local newspaper. Now, softball and baseball are played at the same time the same day. So I'm running back between the ranges of each game pieces. Types of photo will be interspersed. At the end of a doubleheader, I have pictures of ~ 1 K. Obviously a very large part of them are throwing a ways. I go to import and step through the inflow (into the expanded view) making the first brutal cut. Probably 80% + are never imported. When I click on import, LR does its thing and when you're done announcement that the card has been ejected. It is a real pain as I then remove the drive CF card, reinsert, wait that the systΦme can recognize the card and start over. This leads to the second question.

Question 2: Modification and manipulation of metadata. AP was entitled to metadata Panel layout in the import process implemented. The only way I found to change metadata in LR is go to the 'Apply Durng Import' Panel, click on the list of metadata by selecting 'Edit Presets' which leads to the top of the window of metadata custom selected. I then need to select whatever the preset I have (in this case he is a HS sports preset), make the necessary changes, save it and after you set up the file name correctly start the import. Because I'm always on time, that seems really slow and heavy. Also, if I forgot to change the preset next time, I find myself with errors in the metadata. Simple example. If the game is played say Baboquivari rather that it should be noted in Image IPTC and status Tohono o ' O'odham. (Believe me, the people in these two places would not appreciate being called the wrong thing.) There is perhaps a plugin that modifies, facilitates this process as the standard process of LR (at least I understand it now) is quite inefficient.

I have other things that I have not worked on, but these two are cost me some time.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Robert

    (1) see here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4710792

    (2) you can have as 'sport presets' as you want, either one for each team you cover. Name them in a descriptive manner, so that you know what are the components.

    But maybe that's not necessary:

Once the import is complete, the imported images are displayed in the grid. If they don't click on in the catalog Panel.

Now, when all the images are displayed in the grid, press Ctrl / Cmd + A (letter A on your keyboard) to select all images. On the right side in the Panel, then you can enter the keywords that apply to all selected images. Further down in the Panel you can enter a title and a legend that will apply to all selected images.

  • The IPTC metadata: copy and paste the data into an image

So here's the problem: I work for a photo journalist/travel photographer to his Lightroom 4 8 TB database.
Now, for some reason, he wants the CPHI-metadata title, the title and the legend to be the same for each photo. What I mean by that is not simply to give each photo the exact name, but rather have a picture with the title "Machu Pichu for the sunset" also the title ""Machu Pichu for the sunset"and the legend"Machu Pichu for Sunset".»
So far, I did copy and paste between these boxes (I only usually have a title) for each single photo, but as you can imagine, with 8 TB, this will drive you absolutely crazy.
What I would like is to have is some kind of metadata Lightroom preset for just take the title and copy and paste it in title and legend to tell. Is it possible that it is possible?
Thanks in advance. It would really save me tons of quite unnecessary work.

  • Bad Dates - Images uploaded

Today I decided that I should put my pictures in order to find them more easily. I first watched them all quickly in moments, and I found that screenshots and photos taken of my iPod and iPhone have the correct date, while the photos downloaded from the Internet have incorrect dates.

For example, this Panel of XKCD (http://xkcd.com/1664/) was released in 2016 but is dated March 20, 2012 in Photos:

Several pictures taken from the same Web page may have different dates. This also happens good JPEG and PNG.

Is anyone know how the Photos app / iCloud library determines the date on which associate an image with?

JPEG files have the date included in the EXIF/IPTC data in the image - the most likely is that the dates of 'bad' you see the correct dates such as defined by the image - you can export the unmodified original (menu, file == > export) and use Preview to look at the data in EXIF/IPTC but I am sure you will find that {Photos using the dates here

  • I use Image Capture to shoot pics my phone is off

Tired of importers jpg directly to photographs, then having to export and re-name-the, I use Image Capture to extract my iPhone.  I save it to my desktop.   I got their name in the Finder.  Then, I open the pictures and import them from my office.  When I finished all imports, I delete the pictures on my desk.  I have been through the jpgs in Photos and see several that I KNOW that I have given a file name, but they have names like IMG_5677.  What a waste of time!   I HATE it that Apple makes it so difficult just give a file name to your photos!  I use filenames for reasons of family history.  I don't want to be enslaved to a convention of software as "Securities.".

    Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

You must make the difference between the file and the data it contains. This Word file is not your novel, it is a container. The data it contains is your novel. The Beatles never wrote or recorded an mp3 file. He wrote and recording Let It Be , and this mp3 file contains a copy of this record. That jpeg is not your Photo. It is actually a compression format that contains a version of your photo.

    - And is not Apple, but a convention shared by all the camera manufacturers, software manufacturers and so on - there is a difference between the name of the file that refers to the file and the title of the photo which is a name that you give the image. Thus, IMG_5677 is a file name, our marriage is a title for a photo.

The title of the photo is saved in Exif and IPTC Photo metadata and that is accessible by all software photo on all computer systems. Add a title in pictures, export the image, send it to a Windows machine, open it in, say, Lightroom, and there is the title.

There is an agreed standard all of the manufacturers of cameras and software manufacturers.

    Compatible with this standard photos.

You want to use filenames for titles which is not standard, and if you find yourself with this complexity.

Here is another way to work. Import the images in the Photos. Add a title to them in Photos. So, if you want a free version at some point that has the title as file name, export the image (file-> export) and, in the export dialog, he say to use the title as the file name.

    Less complex and standards.

  • In Photos, I changed the date, title and information on the location of the images of a slide digitizing company.  I want to preserve the custom metadata and the original resolution of 2500 dpi in a file backup, but when I export it loses my metadata chan

Using version 1.3 of Photos, I edited the metadata about the images, I received a business of digitization of slides to insert the first day of the slide, the location, a title and a keyword.  I want to archive these images with the original resolution of 2500 dpi, but when I export original unmodified, it does not preserve information.  When I export by choosing export as XMP IPTC, I can't read the XMP file to see if there are my revisions.

When I export using the 'Export # photo (s)' choice, I can use the previews/tools/Inspector/iptc and see my changes.  But this photo has only 72 dpi.

Is there a way to preserve this modification of metadata information in the original not modified?  Alternatively, this file has XMP I exported the info?  If so, how can I read it?  And that would mean I need to export both the original unmodified and the XMP file to my files from archive?

Don't know what you want - well there is a CIO field in the EXIF fields it is meaningless as DPI is not a setting but the result of a math problem third grade - points by (divided by) inches until you add inches per impression you have no IPR - and when you add inches the DPI for printing are determined by calculating not by any setting

    For more information, see http://www.rideau-info.com/photos/mythdpi.html

The IPTC fields allow you to enter a lot of information. In your case, I would type the comment in the area of the legend. The title field must contain your "Peppers". Unless you're in a structured environment relly, you need not more fields. (My personal opinion)

  • IPTC Metadata - iPad

    Hello...

I have now an iPad, where I downloaded creative cloud, Lightroom, Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix. I have the Plan of photography CC. The problem is that I have to be able to add IPTC content for my images when I get out on assignments.  Me to send immediately, to where they have got to go. How do I do this with programs that I downloaded?

Looking forward to hearing the answers :-)

    Gillian

Your images must first to import in Lightroom running on a desktop computer or a laptop. You want to see or work with Lightroom Mobile images placed in a collection that is synchronized to LR Mobile. You can then view the collection with a web browser and add a caption or title to optics. In my view, those are your only options at the moment.

  • The IPTC metadata does not picture record

A photo agency has agreed to distribute my images. They need title and the caption of each image, in any of the IPTC. I entered the title metadata and caption on the metadata on the right side column, but it does not appear on the exported image. I sent a number of test images to the Agency, and they can see the images, but not the metadata.

I checked - the catalog settings - edit automatically write changes to xmp, but still no luck. I've updated to the latest version of LR CC. See image showing the captured metadata, but that does not record on the image.   What I am doing wrong?

Which option you have chosen in the dialog box export as metadata - include?

You will need to use all the metadata, either all but thought camera camera & info.
