  Lightroom does not really use a file structure, it's a database.

  The photos must be in a folder somewhere in your operating system, and when you import a photo into Lightroom, the location of the actual folder and file name is entered in the Lightroom database, so now Lightroom knows where your photo.

  Now, I don't know it that all of these folders on your computer that you describe. You'll have to sort this possibility, somehow, perhaps by opening each folder Lightroom (not in your operating system) to see the benefits. Now, when you look in your operating system, you must find all the folders that contain pictures of Lightroom (you just find these files in the previous sentence), as well as the folder that contains your catalog and presets and preferences file.   You chose to copy at the time of importation because of which the images got copied to a different location and were arranged in date format.

  You must remove Lightroom and re-importation of the main files and click on 'Add' during the import.

  I think there are two ways that you could do this and basically what it is is what Jason says - if you make sure that they have type corresponding doc, group security and/or account, they will be in the same folder.

  An idea - you can use WebDav and setup a contribution with these predefined metadata folder. Then it would be just a drag and drop or copy / paste just like on a network drive. All files/folders that you copy to this folder of contribution should be labeled with the same info and have fallen into the same folder.

  Just a thought... hope that helps, and I'm not far away from the base.

  Hello

  The best practice is to always identify root folder (/) in your paths. If you use a path without / Assets/images/img2.jpg for example, the browser will be able to find this image if you are somedomain.com/index.html, but if you are somedomain.com/somefolder/index.html, the browser will look for Assets folder, inside the current folder instead of from the root.

  Application generates various newspapers (not weblogic server logs), and on the database server, we also have a set of files on the server computer.

  I currently have all the photos on my local drive using this structure, MyPictures\YYYY-MM-JJ. I just got an extra envelope with two discs and I put disks in mirror for backup purposes. I would change the structure of file at YYYY\MM\DD (ex: 2009\12\19). Is it possible to import files in LR to their current path and copy them to the new path based on the date of shooting and have the catalogue LR pointing to the new path for these files?

  If you mean reimport the photos that are already in LR to get the folder structure you want... it's not a good idea, as re-imorting loses a lot of information, including historical edition, Member of the collection. In addition, you lose all your metadata (keywords, captions, etc.), unless you have first LR write these xmp data.

  If the photos have never been imported into LR, the import process can move files in the folders that you want, this option can be selected in the dialog box import LR.

  Let me tell you that my worry about minor changes in the structure of folders seems to miss the big point of the Lightroom library module, which gives you much more powerful tools for organizing your photos as folder name/structure.   You can move your files to the folder view structures in the Organizer. Just drag the folder parent in browser left to the destination parent folder.

  The problem is that there are a number of system of folder names that have been changed in later versions of Windows after XP.

  Examples:

  C:\ Documents and Settings is now C:\Users

  C:\Application Data is now C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming

  Parameters of C:\Local is now C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local

  C:\All users now is C:\ProgramData

  And there is a lot of changes in name/location.

  To make it even more confusing, each of these folders that have been changes of name/location includes a junction , which is the original XP folder name, at the original location of XP. These junctions are used to redirect software more old programs installed that are hard coded to look for the old XP to a folder name. These junctions are recognizable by a shortcut arrow on the folder.

  I followed the advice to remove the dwsync files, turn off maintain sync, restart, turn on keep synchronization.  New dwsync files are not created.

  I read a post from a certain number of years that mention the site structure (I guess they wanted to tell local structure).

  I get a warning, sometimes because a site is located in the root of another site, sync may not work properly. I guess that his reference to my local site structure.
