  I have windows 7 running on 2 PCs and recentley by double clicking on a program at startup, it does not open (it is show in the Manager of tasks such as running) happens on the two computer randomly and for third-party programs, and Ms Word.   I realized that I can't open anything with a double click, not just InDesign. In the search for an answer, I found an answer. When I installed a new mouse, I turned the speed to high, fast, super fast. When I slowed down the speed of double click, I could open anything. Phew!

  I solved the problem.  If you go to System Preferences > accessibility > mouse and Trackpad - you can set the double click to be much slower speed.

  Hello all!  I am running on XP RH8.  Somehow... just my PC... but for ALL my projects (over 15 years), I lost the ability to open a topic by double-clicking it.  I cannot even click right and select 'change '.

  I right click, chose "Edit with" and design or view HTML.  This happened yesterday morning, and for the life of me I can't find a setting anywhere where it affects.

  I had HR long... This is a new!  And its very, very difficult and painful.  I can't double-click a bookmark and jump to it.  I can double-click a broken link and display the dialog box.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Relocation of HR is a 3 day process with our Help Desk, a secure server, and questionable results.  While there is a setting somewhere, or a combination of typing that I accidentally triggered... I'm all ears.

  Check tools > Options > file Association. Try selecting 'Use default editor'. Maybe your editor settings got scrambled in some way.

• The desktop icons are not open __a double click of mouse

  Operating system is Vista 64, Windows 7.  I can't open any desktop with the mouse icon and right click of the mouse opens the options.  I can open the icons in the taskbar, quick launch with the mouse and right click of the mouse opens options for changes in the task bar and the quick launch.  I click on start and open programs shown here.  I tried to restart and it did not help, I closed the computer and restarted and it seemed to work for a short time and then returned to have the same problem.

  It was reported many problems with older versions of PSE and WIN10.

  Can you open PSE from office or from the list of programs on the start menu?

  Try to manually open the CD/DVD drive.
  Near the eject button, you will find a small hole.

  You can use a small object like staple and could push gently into this hole.

  Usually, this should help to open the drive manually.

  I have Satellite L305D-S5934 and the keyboard does not work properly. I can use the keyapad to point but it wll not perform a double click. Left click will not work... I think it's a hardware problem, I have tried resetting everything and downloaded synaptics at least 3 times.

  Anyone have any suggestions?
  It does not work with a USB mouse. It is still under warranty, but the agent wants to keep my laptop for 6 weeks to fix while they get a part starting from the United States. and they don't test it for me for free so I'm not even sure this is harware related to 100%?

  Hello!

  Do you mean before the touchpad mouse left button or tap on the touchpad function?

  The listen function must be activated first. This means click on the left button of the mouse TouchPad.
  Go to control panel > mouse > device settings > settings > Tapping. There you can check if the function is enabled or not.

  Click the FixIt button in the Microsoft article
  http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=940791. (The section of the article titled "fix it myself", explains what the button, but the button is easier).

  Make sure that MS Word is not open, click the FixIt button, click on run and this program will set MS Word. When you open MS Word after running this program, you will be able to edit the files again.

• When I right-click on an image in LR and select Edit in PS, PS opens but the image does not open in PS.  CC (2014)

  Everything seems to work as it should, but the picture just does not open in PS CC (2014).  I am very new to PS everything subscriber to CC for photographers a month ago.  I have the last PS and LR (5.5).  Photoshop just open and that's all!  I know the image I selected in LR to open in LR.  I selected edit copy with changes in LR.  When I do the same edit with the same picture and ask for one of the perfect Photo Suite 8.5, the images opens as expected.  I don't know that I have a preference thing incorrectly.

  Yet once, thanks for the quick reply, but in searching the web I found someone responds that it looked like something that would go far with an uninstall and reinstallation of PS CC 2014.  I have done that and restarted my PC and back and forth works now.  I guess that the problem was caused when the new version has been added without the 2 previous versions being deleted.  When I have remeoved the 2 old versions, I hope that the link had a falling out.  Now everything is ok.

• Opening with double click files

  I have developed a problem. When I double click a folder Windows search openes in place of the file format. I have tried everything I can thing of to correct this situation including, to reset the folder options, reset the keyboard options, wireless keyboard Microsoft mouse options, Microsoft wireless mouse reset, restart the computer, run chkdsk/f, as you can see I'm not a novice on computers, but in forty years of playing with them I've never met this.
