  I just started using a new MacBookPro with 750Go after using an XP laptop for years.

  I want to continue to use the old XP image in Fusion 5.

  However I do not want to include all the data from my documents in this image (~ 500GB) since I already moved it to my Mac.

  Is it possible to exclude folders? (I started the Assistant and it says space: 656 f, GB of available space) 161 Of course, who does not fly...

  I took a look at the FAQ and forums, but can't find anything relevant, other than the indications that it might actually be impossible...

  Any ideas would be welcome.

  VMware does not offer this type of overall control, when you do a P2V with VMware vCenter Converter Standalone or the Migration Wizard in VMware Fusion.  If you are already moved the data user on Mac and because you cannot legally continue to use the physical Machine if you're virtualizing, unless she a VLK version and you have the appropriate license number, then you could just remove what you don't want to include in the Virtual Machine and then do the P2V.  Also remember that if it is an OEM version, you're not the right to move to another system, physical or virtual, as OEM installs live and die on the original system installed by the EULA.  If this isn't a retail or VLK version with the appropriate number of licenses, then this is a rhetorical question.

  In case it is not an OEM version, then I'll mention that in the past I've used Ghost for P2V creating an image that excludes everything I put excludes it list and it would be ideal if you don't have what it takes to remove the data from the user for some reason any.  If you have not the right version of Ghost then use VMware vCenter Converter Standalone to create a virtual custom image Machine, then it can still be made even if it must then manually inject the proper drivers and registry entries of Windows for the mass storage controller and the keyboard move the BSOD expected when you do a manual P2V.

  Yes, however if there are names of full qualified path to the configuration of the Virtual Machine's .vmx file, they need to be adjusted accordingly.

• VMware fusion 3 - adjustment to comments does not work with Windows Server 2008

  I use 3 Fusion with existing image from Fusion 2.x on Windows Server 2008. After the upgrade to Fusiion 3 (I upgraded VMware tools (I've also tried their uninstall and reinstall) too) the guest operating system does not change the resolution when resizing the window. It does not change the resolution if/when I goes into full screen mode. I have an 'exclamation' mark in Device Manager and it says that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ». I tried with and without 3D acceleration enabled.

  WS2008 is where I spend most of my time in fusion, I hope that this can be solved somehow (a config directive file or something perhaps?)?

  He had a similar position and the problem is specific to the version of the virtual machine virtual material.

  Can upgrade you your VM hardware version? (Fusion UI have probably an option present as 'version Upgrade VM HW'... cannot check now but 90% sure about that.)

• Images of data merged not appearing is not in InDesign CC

  Can of assistance for an indesign image data fusion exit? I try a catalog available, but could not get the images to import through the fusion of data. I tried to use relative and absolute paths and still no joy. Try to eliminate where the problem occurred, I created a new csv with a single line and stuck the absolute path of a screen shot of my office in the csv file.

  

  The data fields appear as before, but the image still refuses to appear in the preview. When I merge the document image still does not appear in the document, but the link is displayed in the links pane.

  

  Does anyone have an idea where I am going wrong?

  NB I use Indesign CC on a Mac OS x 10.9.4

  Try changing the column name for the @Image images, not what you have. I don't like using file names with spaces, so if there is another problem, try changing a few names of your files and change the column in the file merger.

• Fusion crashing and unable to start windows image

  Hey all,.

  VMware Fusion hangs "unexpected," I tried "Googling" errors but they come to this site, but each one is slightly different and do not seem to help me fix. Things that may have changed:

  -J' I add a secondary hard drive as my 'BOOTCAMP' drive C was just a bit full but never rebooted until today so he never

  Hey Jcui0122,

  I found the problem was with the multiple screen adjustment, after disconnecting my cable HDMI to my first monitor was the cause of the problem (detached / restart the mac and try again once worked).

  More details incase anyone else has this problem:

  1 Yes Fusion crashes completely I couldn't even change the settings / return to snapshots.

  2. Yes, it was a Windows VM using the Bootcamp partition.

Each time Windows 2000 appears at startup with the | bars progress, but when you get to the end, my Mac everything freezes. I have to hold the power button / stop.   If you open the Management Console IIS, go to the site you want to check, more on the right where are the actions to stop and restart there is a link "trace request failed. Click here to open and activate it.

    

  Once this option is activated, you can return to the "Home" part in IIS where are all the configuration icons. If the module is installed as part of IIS, you will have an icon has no rules of the follow-up request to open.

  

  If this isn't there, then you will need run the management of server and add it to the IIS role on the server.

  Inside of here you can add content to the trace. Click the Add button on the right side and keep the ' all the content of the "selected and then on the next page, enter the status code you get. Apply to all suppliers on the last page and click Finish.

  Now, if you visit the page you have the problem and get the 500 error, a record of the request may log and you can find it (by default) in the directory in the screenshot above.

  They are xml files who wrote which you can open in a browser. It shows you all the steps, through the processing of the page and I hope you show where she stops and give you the reason.

  Not always guaranteed, and sometimes mistakes can be really obscure. The fact that you have problems with images rather than an actual page can mean it does not work, but until you try it you don't know.

• Virtual Windows 7 machine image does not not on Fusion for Mac

  I created a virtual Windows 7 64 bit computer image using the stand-alone converter.  I copied on my MacBook Pro with OS Lion and when I try to open with the merger, I get the 'Blue' of death screen, then a screen that allows Windows to try to solve the problem.  I select the difficulty, it runs, but does not solve the problem.  Anyone have any suggestions?

  When I created the image, I chose to make it run on Fusion 4.0, too.

• Fusion of images to form a panorama - mix heaven?

  I made experimenting with the fusion of landscape photos to panoramas of the shape and one of the problems I've had are constantly are the joins are visible in the sky and I was not able to find a solution to remove.

  Now I'm certainly not an advanced user, but I was wondering if someone could advise me on the best tools/tools to use in order to hide these joins and mix the sky or point me in the right direction?
