Imaging Source DFG/SV1 acquisition card is not correctly recognized in LabVIEW 2009

I have an Imaging Source DFG/SV1 frame grabber/capture card (I think that this example uses a Bt878 chip) that I am using with LabVIEW 2009 (Fall edition 2009 academic Site license), including elements of acquisition of vision (NEITHER Vision, NOR-IMAQ (4.3) OR-IMAQdx (3.4), etc.). I have all the latest sources of imagery support drivers and software for the Board of Directors (http://www.theimagingsource.com/en_US/products/grabbers/dfgsv1/ drivers: v6.0.3.0, IC Software v2.1 and IC Imaging Control v3.1) with drivers being compatible DirectShow. The DFG/SV1 is detected in MAX under devices NOR-MAQdx / DFG/SV1 / cam0 and I can grab and preview images, however to 320 x 240 resolution, I have a higher resolution camera and know that the jury is capable of greater resolution using IC software manufacturing and also via TWAIN with ImageJ software drivers. Interesteingly, if I try to acquire an image of the card purchase using the Vision Assistant, the DFG/SV1 card is not recognized as a card acquisition, but listed under IEEE 1394 or GigE peripheral, revealing with it being direct device that I can't understand. Despite this I can acquire images, but I am limited to 320 x 240 format and change the type of image (RGB, UYVY etc) causes an error. Once again, oddly enough, I can use "enter and select mode example VI" which should only be compatible with IEEE 1394 cameras.

I'm not sure why LabVIEW is not seen this card properly, I contacted Imaging source who were also intrigued by the fact.

Any information on how this could be resolved would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi OCastell,

With this Council Imaging Source, the only interface supported with drivers of NI Vision Acquisition is through using IMAQdx DirectShow interface. It is possible that their DirectShow driver does not properly support all of the capabilities of their Council. Given that ICR software and TWAIN support can be routed to a different implementation of one of the DirectShow support, you can see the different features available. Unfortunately, you probably go through Imaging Source to determine why their DirectShow driver does not support the full resolution. You can confirm that it isn't IMAQdx this limiting trying other software such as Windows NetMeeting or AMCAP DirectShow and see what capture resolutions are listed.

Because the DirectShow interface is managed by IMAQdx driver, it will not be detected as a framegrabber IMAQ using the IMAQ driver. This is expected since it fits in the same category as firewire and GigE Vision cameras and is supported with the IMAQdx driver instead.

The "Grab and select the Mode" example VI isn't really specific FireWire, although he was certainly intended to highlight the various video modes that generally expose FireWire cameras. Since the DirectShow devices are similar and have several selectable video modes, it's why he's probably working. In any case, IMAQdx abstracts usually differences between all supported camera types and in general a single VI can run on all cameras IMAQdx-taking in charge unless you rely on buses or the camera-specific features.

Regarding Vision Assistant marking the camera as 'IEEE 1394 or GigE', I think it's just an aesthetic issue (which may already be fixed in new versions). When IMAQdx was out, these are the supported types of cameras and so Vision Assistant was trying to say clearly what driver was used for the type of device. Now that IMAQdx supports a multitude of new interfaces (including DirectShow and some IP cameras) that the label is inaccurate.

Finally, looking at the specs for this capture card, it looks like a standard reference BT878/848 model and then you could try potentially replace your Imaging Source driver with one here:

http://BTWinCap.sourceforge.NET/

I used this with a with IMAQdx BT878 capture card and can get it to capture an image full resolution (but of course, your results may vary...). It goes without saying that this solution using DirectShow is much more limited than using an industrial camera on 1394/firewire or a framegrabber IMAQ.

Hope this helps,

Eric

I installed the operating system Windows XP 64 on Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10K. I have a big problem, because Windows XP does not recognize my graphics card (nvidia geforce 9600 m gt).
I tried to install the drivers from the nvidia site, but once this graphics card still has not been recognized.
It causes that, when I try to push and drag a window, I can see how it is re-paint.

Could someone help me to solve my problem?

    Hello!

I think that the problem cannot be solved. Toshiba doesn't support any laptop computer with Windows XP 64-bit because it is OS was not so popular.

The only way I know is to use drivers from external Web sites and update your BIOS to the latest version. If it doesn't work, you must use another operating system.

I think that the Qosmio F50 is really fast enough for Vista 64-bit. Try it and you will see too much work.

  • LabVIEW host could not download my_subvi.vi Labview 2009

My problems started with the jump in Labview 2009. When I try to deploy my project during execution of the façade on my host and the remote control code, I get:

Host LabVIEW cannot download my_subvi.vi. "my_subvi.vi" is a random under vi of the project. It can be different every time. This happens to my RT PC and so far not for PXI box.

After talking with OR I downloaded the 2009 SP1 update and all other updates to run the RT kernel to version 9.01. I've updated the remote computer does not change.

I also did a little test. I can run a simple empty code as a moment of pure looped and that is fine, but when I add a Subvi it gives me the same error each time.

I have a quad core 2.4 GHz with 4 GB of RAM. A lot of memory and time processor. I used to run it with 8.2, 8.5.1 and had no serious problems.  My RT PXI seems to be good so anyway...

    Ideas?

After talking to the consultant NOR I found the solution.

It's all just stupid but works. I removed the second stick of memory - I have 2 + 2 GB of RAM; It works now. LabView RT apparently has problems with address more than 2 GB of RAM. I wonder if it has something to do with memory dual channel or not. What happens if I had 4 + 4 GB memory - would I have to buy 2 GB mem?

Oddly enough, it was working fine with this configuration under Labview 8.2, 8.5, 8.6 and stopped at 2009 and 2009 SP1.

  • cRIO-9073 not appearing is not in devices and Labview 2009 targets

In MAX, I show the following: a cRIO-9073 with NOR-RIO 3.0.0 installed. My system software has NEITHER-RIO 3.0. In LabView 2009, when I try and add the cRIO to my project in LabView 2009 in New-> targets and devices, I don't have a list in time real CompactRIO and my cRIO does not appear. I tried to add manually with its IP address, but it does not work either. I've updated the cRIO to LabView real-time 9.0 software.

Is there other software that I need to update on the cRIO so that it is visible in LabView 2009? Do I need a new version of NOR-RIO?

    Thanks for any help.

I upgraded from NEITHER RIO NOR-RIO 3.2.1 3.0 and LabView 2009 seems happy.

  • DAQmx device not no projection in LabView 2009

    Hello

I have a USB-6501 that im trying to use with LabView 2009. It is installed and appears in MAX, however when I try to access them through LabView its not registered when I try to set the physical channel of the DAQms create channel vi. The whole device is missing.

Anyone had this problem or have any idea what im doing wrong?

As I thought... your constant physical channel is filtered to only HAVE. Please change the top right and select «IO name filtering...» ».

In the dialog box change the Type of IO to digital input. Now you should find the 65xx device.

Note that the parameter for filtering of IO is determined during the creation of the constant/control. So if you created when the DAQmx chain has been set for AI voltage (default), the name of IO filtering is I. This will not change simply because you reconfigure the DAQmx create channel...

  • Why my key USB 3 is not correctly recognized

I have a Kingston USB 3 six-month-old stick memory (which works without weird messages on my PC). From time to time (not always) when I plug it into one of the four ports USB 3 on my seven-month-old Dell Inspiron 17R IS tells me that it would work faster in a 3 USB port! Once told me ready boost would not work if I did not USB 2 or better! These messages are trash.

Dell, at HIS own expense, being a decent company, took the laptop, updated all the drivers and got rid of some echoes of startup. Next, the message appeared again. The next day, told me the ready thing kick boost (see above) and that the next day (yesterday) and today, insertion of the memory stick has produced no message.
Kingston, another good company, proposed to replace the stick without fees.
But EVERYONE seems convinced it's a Windows problem (and Microsoft does not correct problems JIB, it?)
What is going on? And how to stop these absurd messages that appear again?
    Any suggestions? Please?

Have you tried a different brand of USB 3.0 memory sticks?

If they do not work correctly then I would offer of replacement of Kingston. If the other brand is not working properly I would make sure to run all windows updates. If it still fails, you will need to contact Dell and look into getting a replacement of the system board.

  • CF cards will not correctly work with El Capitan

Using a San Disk USB 3 card reader and the CalDigit FASTA 6GU3 + the PCI card. Everything works fine with 10.8.6, but with El Capitan, I can't copy anything that either of the maps - it hangs then ejects the card and I get an error message that the operation cannot be completed because error i/o and the drive was not ejected. Card back immediately, but the problems of the rehearsals. Boot in sys old and everything is good, then it seems to be a problem of El Cap have deleted previous CALDIGIT drivers for my previous card (which does not work with El Cap), so this isn't the problem.

Did you mean 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?  There is no Cougar maxed out at 10.8.5 10.8.6.  If you mean the snow leopard, a lot of software is not compatible with 10.7 or later is with older versions.  There should be compatible Compact Flash readers on multifunction printers, as well as some readers you might find http://www.macsales.com

If it's the same machine that came with 10.6, you can also install 10.6 on another partition or an external hard drive, or if it's a newer than July 20, 2011 Mac, you must put the option run Snow Leopard Server on your Mac.

  • E520 w / 6630M 2GB card will not correctly work with OpenGL "Advanced" setting in Adobe Photoshop CS5.5

I'm having a problem using the "Advanced" setting OpenGL in Adobe Photoshop CS5.5. While I can choose "Advanced" option, any of the advanced features are available for use (as the panoramic film and animated zoom).

I updated my system with the latest video drivers (8.840.7.3000/6.14.0.3074) and BIOS (1.22/1.10/1.02), however, does not.

Video drivers packed on the Lenovo site aren't the last registered on the site of AMD for the 6630M and I can't update my system with the drivers from the website of AMD.

It is a real problem for me since I bought the laptop as a machine of design production and may not use the graphics card to its full potential. I wrote to AMD to ask them, which resulted in pushing them as stake of Lenovo.

Update: last updated driver (8.882.2.3000 / 6.14.0.3074) fixed a problem

  • Cam sex is not correctly recognized on Satellite L500D

    Hello

I have a Satellite L500D when I failed to connect in the web cam app appears and say web camera initialization. Please check your device and restart the application or computer.
I press ok and the application closes down so I checked the Device Manager and there is no camera device.
I downloaded the driver twice and that you don't always see the driver in the Device Manager box.

    Hello

    That s quite strange.
What is your laptop pre-installed with original Toshiba (factory State) recovery image?

Everything is possible and it can be faulty cam but the best way to find out is to install the OS using Toshiba HDD recovery facility. After doing this, you will have to new factory condition.
With the factory settings, each hardware component should work fine.

Do not install any additional software. After finishing OS installation webcam control functionality to see if the same thing happens again. If there is the same situation contact the closest service Toshiba and explain the situation.

  • DELL new 1 TB drive 6 GB/s SATA is not correctly recognized by DELL SAS 6/ir controller

    I have a Dell PowerEdge R310 with a Raid SAS 6iR controller

The SAS Raid Controller is a LSI1068E chipset.
Now, I bought a new drive to replace a faulty in the RAID1 volume.
Has bought the drive with Dell
    400-18614 1 TB SATA 7.2 k 3.5 "HD Hot Plug fully assembled - Kit
It seems that it is a seagate ST1000NM0033.
It is a 6GB SATA drive.
When I replaced the defective drive - the RAID1 game not resync No.
In fact, the controller has not see the drive. When I plugged the drive
in another (new), the Bay, and then the controller did see the drive, however,
it it detected as a virtual disk with only 3950 MB (4 GB)!
Any idea if this disc is:
    -broken?
-not compatible with / 3GB SATA?
-needs jumpers positioned to be compatible?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi all

    Thanks for the comments.

However, in my opinion, the disc should work and I shouldn't waste my time at low level

kind of things. It should be "swap-out/swap-in/resync '...

So I called the support technique dell that the disc is not good.

Come back my money - ordered a new one - exactly the same model - and it works very well!

If the disc was just DOA.

Thank you all for your time tho.

    Kind regards

  • Win7: Administrator is not correctly recognized

    Hi people

I have a little problem with my Windows 7 Professional. The starting point for this were two questions:

    (1) I could not create new users, as the correct files and registryentries have not been created.

    (2) using the my separate administrator account (that I don't use usually) I can't change my preferences for Windows Update. It does work with the admin hidden either. I get information that "some preferences are only to be changed by administrators.

The first problem I could solve actually give everyone more rights for users / default. Not the best solution, but I guess I can live with that.

The second problem that I couldn't yet solve. I activated the hidden administrator, but still had no permission to modify preferences. If I type mmc at the command line I get an empty window now (actually got a window not empty when the hidden administrator was not activated yet, so I'm a little worried about it). The ProfileList in Windows NT folder in the registry has an entry for each user, so it seems that things were good there. Running Sfc/scannow does not return anything. Although I can't change preferences for Windows Update I always seem to be able to install programs and set other preferences using the hidden admin or my own admin user. I don't really know why this happened, but of course, I would be happy if someone could give me a clue as to how to solve this problem.

    see you soon

    S4nya

    Hello

I suggest you use the construction in the administrator to create a new administrator account and check if everything works correctly in the account.

The built-in administrator is not to work from, but to help create another account. Built-in Administrator account should not be used as a normal administrator account, it is not recommended as not all things or options will work from there.

  • InDesign plugin CS6 not correctly recognized by InDesign

I tried to create a simple InDesign CS6 plugin that writes to a log file, that I am opening and closing of the InDesign documents. The SDK package had the LinkWatcher example I used as a reference when creating my solution.

Currently, the problem is that I'm a "Adobe InDesign does not recognize mfindesign.pln as a plug-in" when I try to start InDesign CS6 with the plugin. Is not too useful because it won't let me know where is the problem and the compilation of the code with VS2010 gives me no errors currently.

Relevant parts of the code for https://github.com/crnd/MFIndesign/can be found. I have been using CResponder as a base class in my implementation.

Someone at - it good indications where & how to start looking for the problem? Or even better if someone can already identify the mistakes that I made.

I guess it's the problem of related resources. Check if you have the directory (MFIndesign resources) in the plugins directory
